I love having a Tory Burch Boutique at my mall since I hate returning items online. It’s so nice to try things on to gauge fit and really see what the material or pattern is like up close. Friday afternoon allowed me a few hours of “me-time” so I set out to Tory to check out the new items.

~ Peg Shell, size 8 ~

I unexpectedly loved this little blouse. The hooks in back at the neck were a little tricky to connect without looking but I was finally able to manage. The neck is a small cowl-neck and is 100% silk. It felt wonderful on. The orange and grey will transfer nicely from Fall to Winter.

It also comes in a black print.

~ Rolanda Sweater, Medium, Lichee (Pink) ~

This is a silk cashmere blend and despite it being really warm in the dressing room this felt comfortable on. This also comes in Black, which is probably the color I’d get. The fit is true-to-size and the pink is not very sheer at all.

~ Kelly Top, size 10 {review} ~

My exchange for the size 8 was messed up and I never did receive the size 10. Luckily my store did get this top in and I had it held in the size 10. This size is not as form-fitting as the size 8 was and fit looser in the chest and waist. There are darts at the bust the were a little lower than I would have like and so I’m not too sure the size 10 was the better fit. I’ve added this to my wishlist in both sizes so I hope to grab this on sale.

~ Velda Tunic, size 6 ~

This is a lovely tunic. I usually stay away from the Tory Tunics since the neckline is cut really low. Though this one is cut low, it lays nicely and isn’t over-exposing. The body and arms of the tunic is silk while the contrasting collar, neckline and cuff are cotton poplin. The cut is very flattering as well.

~ Rylie Tunic, Small, Light Grey ~
This is a Tunic Sweater with side-zipper detail. I actually liked it a lot and the Small was a nice fit. This looked really heavy and thick on the hanger but is a very lightweight merino, even more so than the J Crew Merino Pocket Tunics from last Winter.

The zippers on either side expose additional material and not skin, like some other trendy zipper sweaters do. I liked that feature on this sweater as it means you don’t have to layer. It also comes in Black and Navy.

So that’s a little Tory for today. I have some dresses/bottoms scheduled for tomorrow.

Ebates Coupons and Cash Back

Though it’s early, I have slowly been trying to prepare for Fall and figuring out what I would like to add to my closet. Tory Burch, the new girl in my closet, has been very successful and popular this year so I’ve decided to add to that section.

I have been eyeing the Basil Skirt for a while now and I finally ordered it with the latest staggered promo. It’s currently on sale with all sizes available. I have visions of wearing this with my Cashmere Tees. Both the Henrietta and Denise Skirts have the same A-Line shape, though not the pleated front. The size 8 is a good fit and the length is just right on me. The length states 18 1/2 inches online so taller ladies may not like that. The Henrietta Skirt has a 22 1/2 inch length, which would hit just below the knee on me. There are so many beautiful colors to pull from in this skirt.

It was so hard to choose which item in the Floral Print I wanted but I settled on the Kelly Top and I am not disappointed. The background is gray and the peplum is very subtle. I ordered a size 8 and it just fits in the wool/silk blend. I would feel much more comfortable in a size 10 so I’ve sent this back for an exchange. It has a very long zipper in the back so there’s no struggling to take it off/on.

The most wonderful detail of both the skirt and top is the lining. They are both lined in Silk! DaniBP!!! The skirt has a 100% silk lining while the top is a blend with Spandex in it. When I saw that lovely detail I knew I had some special pieces in my hands.
The Zandi Dress was not on my original wish list but it was available to try on when I was shopping a few weeks ago. I tried on a Medium and though the fit was good it seemed a little big, especially since I slipped it over my head without unzipping the side-zip. I would try a Small just to make sure it would still fit without being too tight. Of course, nothing a little Spanxing would fix. It’s also available in a Floral Print, which I love more than the dots. The jersey material is very comfortable, which is always a plus. Then length was below my knee so I’m hoping the Small will hit at or just below the knee.

Lastly, I found my new White Jean. I LOVE my Cropped Skinny Jean in Rinse and was able to find the same pair in white. I bought a size 30 as I know they will shrink just a little. They are not as see through as some others I’ve tried and I know they’ll hold up to washing and wearing like my other pair.

Have a Great Day!

I have been gravitating the last 12 months over to Tory Burch clothing, making my first purchase this year. I absolutely LOVE my London Blouse and hope to find something else in this comfortable silk jersey.

Pre-Fall was launched not too long ago and below are my picks. I love all the navy and reds and tiny polka dots spread throughout. I’m getting a feel for pricing, when items go on sale and promos (very few). Luckily, the brand is sold at other retailers that hold regular promos or allow the use of coupons, store cash/notes, etc.

Isn’t the Turtle Key Fob just the cutest? I think it might be time to change out my Lobster one from J Crew. I’m always on the lookout for a great one-piece swimsuit and the Solaro One-Piece may need to find it’s way to my house for a try-one. That print also comes in a ruffled bikini.

I was holding this post until next week but the 25% Off Friends & Fans Event has started today (through Monday, April 28).

I took some time to head to the Forum Shops at Caesar’s while Husband was playing in a poker tournament. I was able to stop in to Tory Burch and try on a couple of more items from the Summer 2014 Collection. The Talia Shirtdress is part of the Collection as are the Sadie Slingbacks.

I have been lusting over the Mia Slim Boot Denim and finally decided to try them on. They are the same print as the Talia Shirtdress, which I am such a fan of. I took a size 29, my normal jean size. It does stretch some so stay with your normal denim size. It is cropped, for me just at the ankle, and has a slight boot flare.

There are so many color options to choose from in this print. I’m now looking for a lavender-colored top, preferably in linen, to pair with these jeans.

I love the Lidia Polo Shirts. The ruffle at the collar and placket make it much more feminine. This is the Linen version and fits just fine in my normal size Medium.

The Zora Tee was another top I was excited to try on. It fits well through the body and shoulders in a Medium but the arms are a little snug. This is also Linen and has a contrasting all navy back.

The Amanda Tee is on sale and is similar to J Crew’s Cut-out Floral Sweatshirt. I do prefer this tee over the sweatshirt. Again, size Medium fits well.

The SA I worked with suggested I try the Linda Top with the Mia Slim Boot. The online model has her arms to the side so you don’t see the swing at the bottom. The lace overlay in the green is pretty but it’s the back that really makes this top.

But sadly, even with the beautiful back I couldn’t buy this top. The arms were too tight in the size 8 and once the back was hooked and buttoned it rode a little high on my neck.

The Jessa Top is a beautiful silk blouse with a Queen Anne’s lace print (also one of the flower’s growing at Tory’s home). I have on a size 8 and that fits perfectly. There’s a matching (and pricey) maxi skirt and pants  (Those are not included in the promo since they are on pre-order).

The Valerie Dress is a crepe jersey of the same Queen Anne’s lace print and has a beautiful low-cut back. It is very comfortable on but a little long for my taste, hitting below the knee in a size Medium.
Lastly, is the Kaylin Dress in Mesh Stripe. This is a beautiful shift dress with a built-in jeweled neckline and also comes in white. I have on a size 8 here but also tried the 6 which fit much better.

So pretty…if only I had a few places and events to wear this dress.

My Kerrington Tote in the Sunhats print was perfect for travelling and even for walking around shopping my first day in Vegas.
I took my Lidia Polo in Leaf Green as well and wore it one day with the Mia Slim Boot.
