I headed over to Target and found lots of new shoes and sandals including the Dolce Vita for Target line.

First up – Dolce Vita for Target – I missed out on the Cynthia Vincent sandals so I was excited to see the offerings for the Dolce Vita line. There were only a few sandals at the one Target I went to but online there are boots, flats, oxfords and other sandals. Nothing is more than $29.99. I went with a 6 1/2 in all the DV shoes. The 7 was too loose in length and width.

(Please excuse the awful pedicure. I get lazy in the winter since I’m always wearing boots and flats not sandals.)

Sliver Wedge Sandal in Black – Size 6 1/2 – This is faux leather and has a back zipper and comes in pewter and gold.

Rope Wedge Sandals – Size 6 1/2 – $29.99
These also come in nude, dark brown and cognac, which I wanted badly but they did not have my size. There is a double-buckle at the ankle but also a back zipper.

Cork Wedge Sandal – $29.99 – Faux leather and also comes in gold, white, pewter and brown.

Mossimo Pilar Stappy Wedge in Brown – $29.99 – This has a covered wedge heel and a back zipper. Just a teensy bit loose in the 6 1/2 but the 6 was too tight. Also comes in nude, black and pink!

Mossimo Supply Co Wauna Braided Flat Sandals in Brown – $14.99
I looked for some cute somewhat casual sandals all summer last year but could never find anything I liked. I’m happy I found these, and at that price! They also come in a very pretty blue and a tan, almost yellow color.

Mossimo Pearce Pumps in Dove Patent – $29.99 – This is a great neutral gray/pearl colored shoe and also comes in Camel Patent.

As you can see, I happily “bought the shoes”! Have a great day!

I apologize if you saw this on Sunday. Even though I set up a scheduled post Blogger thought it would be funny to post it early.

I’ve been struggling with what I really want to buy during this 30% off promo at J Crew. I have been lusting over the Wool Origami Sheath Dress since it first popped up online.

But I have also been eyeing the Heidi Dress in Prince of Wales Wool. The two-tone really intrigued me. Online says it’s catalog and online only but my store had it along with the Wool Flannel.

So I decided to go to the store to try on the Heidi Dress. There are some new SAs and Personal Shoppers and there’s one girl who is so helpful. Each time I’ve been in and given her something to start a fitting room I find several outfits when I arrive, accessories included. Most of the time I’m not interested in the extra stuff due to time constraints and they are just not my style but I really appreciate the effort.

Anyway, I tried on the Heidi in a 6 and 8. The 6 was a perfect fit and the 8 was a little looser but still a good fit. The PS also brought me the Super 120s Petale’ Dress in Black. It was $49.99 in-store, plus the 30% off. I tried the 6 and it fit great. I didn’t even bother with the 8. It’s a shift dress with and I had the PS bring a belt. It totally change the shape of the dress. I loved it.

So here are the IRLs of the two dresses along with a few other things I bought online last week with the 25% off.

Heidi Dress

Super 120s Petale Dress
Petale’ Dress belted
Double-Serge Stripe Pencil Skirt
Size 8 – Fits perfectly…I normally wear a 6 in JC Pencil Skirts. That size was sold out so I got the 8 and I’m glad I did. A 6 would have been returned.
Worn with JC Black Cashmere Tee
Flannery Peep-Toe Mary Janes

The material, it’s like a quilt, which I’m not a big fan of, but this skirt is lovely.
And…Merry Christmas to me.
Buena Notte Bag – There were two in-store, returns, and it is gorgeous. Sammy, the cat, ruined my dressy black clutch. I think this will do nicely as a great substitute.

I hope the pics helped if you’re still deciding on any items.

Have a great evening.

I thought this was such a cute skirt when I saw it online. I even tried it on in the store and bought it but I have realized I do not like the gathering on the left side. It makes the skirt feel even shorter than it already is.

This is a Size 8. I tried on the 6 but wanted it to sit on my hips.

I am sure this will look great with leggings or tights but since I have the Cypress Plaid Skirt, this one is going back.

Here’s a cute little skirt that seems to only be in-stores at J Crew right now. As soon as I saw it on Ema I knew I needed to try it on.

I’m wearing a size 6 with this. I don’t think an 8 would have given me any more length due to the thick elastic waist band. This style/cut is similar to the Tie-Dye Wednesday skirt. I know I’ll get a lot of wear out of this skirt, especially with tights and flat boots.

Worn with J Crew Denim Perfect Shirt
Size: 6
Style #: 32456
Color: RED
$98

As I type we have a cool front blowing in. Yesterday was 90 degrees! and today will be in the 70s. Is Fall finally in South Texas? I sure hope so.

Have a great day!

Here are the other reviews.
J Crew: Taffeta Marvelle Mini
J Crew: Fall/Holiday 2010 – Skirts
J Crew: Fall/Holiday 2010 – Jackets and Dresses

I didn’t try on the beaded tees just because those were at the end and I was ready to get out of the dressing room but I did want to show IRLs in case there was a slight color difference than the online pics.

Flower Beaded Tee – Not online
Poppy Art Tee
Foxy Art Tee

Drapey Sequin Tank – There is no lining in this tank so you feel the stitching from the sequins. I do like the Olive color and the Small fit fine. The Medium was just a bit too baggy and loose for me. It looked great with the Silk Bubble Mini and with jeans. This comes in Dark Pewter, White Ash, Olive Moss, Black and Warm Taupe. If these make it to sale I’ll probably grab another color.

Lisette Lace Shell – I used the black to try on with most of the skirts and with my jeans. This is very cute under a cardigan or sweater. It comes in Black, Heirloom Pink (both pictured), Navy and Olive Moss. Had the Olive Moss been in the store I would have been all over it and probably taken it over the Drapey Sequin Tank.

Vintage Cotton Traversa-Stripe Tank – The Small fit good, maybe a little snug in the chest and the Medium was loose (navy). I don’t need any patterned tanks as I prefer solid colors to go under cardis and shirts. This comes in White Ash Caramel (which looked Olive to me) and White Ash Navy.

Lace Tee – OMG! I know this is sheer but I love this tee. I was sold when I tried it on with my jeans. I took a Small which was a perfect fit. I’m didn’t try it on but the XS might have been a good fit too. I would at least size down if you are wanting this. It’s very loose fitting.

So that’s it. I hope this helps you if you are looking to buy any of these.

And it looks like if I want any more J Crew Cashmere I’ll have to order it online. They took all of it out of my store and an SA told me they were not selling any cashmere in Texas anymore. Really J Crew? I’m sure it has to do with it not selling but maybe rolling it out in late August when we are still in tees and shorts (at least Central and South Texas) and not even thinking about sweaters, let alone cashmere, isn’t a good marketing strategy. I know stores (not just J Crew) want to get a jump on the seasonal fashion but they really should know their markets. Sweaters, long-sleeves and jackets in August are just not appealing to those of use who won’t be using it until November/December/January. By then, we’ll just get it on sale. Hmmm…on second thought, I’ll take a sale price over full price any time of year.

Have a great day!
