One problem I seem to have lately is time. Hence the week long separation from one post to the next, after returning. And it seems everything I am wanting to share with you is selling out. But I’ll share this one and hope to prep another post of active items this week.

~ Suede Motorcycle Jacket, Medium ~

The color is a lighter olive and the original stock image made me think it was a muted brown. I do like my outerwear to make a statement, which I probably why I haven’t ever purchased a black or tan motorcycle jacket in suede or leather. The fit is TTS and the medium fits well in the shoulders. The sleeves are a little long so I’ll have to scrunch them or fold them up once. Considering I’m going through a style change and wearing more casual/sporty looks, this jacket will fit right in. The hardware and zipper are gold and fit with the olive color.

I have a Navy suede motorcycle jacket I purchased last year from BCBG. From what I’ve discovered, Blank NYC seems to offer the biggest range of colors for their motorcycle jackets.

I wasn’t looking for another one but saw this olive motorcycle jacket in the last round of the J Crew Factory new arrivals and couldn’t resist ordering it. It was promo’d and then I had a coupon so it wasn’t full price.

I’ll start with a review this morning of an item that, unfortunately, is currently sold out. I’m sure there will be returns on it, or at least hope so, in case you’re looking for one.

~ Signet Flap Bag in Italian Calf-hair ~

I missed out on the non-flap version with colorblock calf-hair a few seasons ago. It seemed to always be excluded from promos and then it just sold out, at regular price. I loved that light olive colorblock and was happy to see this snow-leopard calf hair with the deep jade coloring being offered this season. I’ve moved away from bigger bags and have been using smaller cross-body bags for a while. The colors of this bag make it perfect to transition from Fall to Winter.

There’s a little lock on the side and I was originally disappointed thinking it was for show but then I found the keys.

There are two interior pockets along with a bigger section to hold most of your things. There’s also a semi-exterior pocket that the flap covers. I do wish there was one more pocket on the back to stash your cell phone for easy access.

The straps are removable and can be interchanged with others J.Crew offers.

There are lots of options for these little crossbody/camera-style bags.

I do love the Dark Peony of the non-flap Signet Bag. It reminds me of my Bisbee Satchel in Summer Hyacinth, but more saturated in color. Gorgeous online so I would hope it’s the same IRL. I have a specific outfit in mind to wear this bag with, as soon as the weather cools.

Do you own the Signet Bag or a similar camera-style/crossbody bag?

J.Crew has a little promo going on through Sunday. Take 30% off your purchase or 40% off over $200 with code PRESENTS. I made some purchases over Black Friday and then when I returned the Taffeta Skirt in Stewart Plaid.

~ Oversized Striped Turtleneck, Navy/Camel, Small ~

I really wanted this turtleneck. I liked the colors and the over-sized look of it and the neck isn’t all that tight. I took a Small as this is really big. It’s pretty reasonably priced if you can get your shopping cart to $200. That’s not hard for JCAs! Of course, there’s a similar navy/camel cashmere option.

~ Knit leggings in Zebra, Medium ~

Not that I needed another pair of lounge pants but these looked too cute and cozy to pass up. I have various colored sweaters to wear these with on the weekends or to bed. I also bought the striped leggings, in a Small. Those really stretch out so be sure to size down one. And those have a matching top.

~ Chup Santa Socks ~

I bought these during the Black Friday sale and they are also included in the current promo. They are in the men’s section and I absolutely recommend getting these. I have last year’s version in red and they kept my feet so cozy and warm. These are actually a gift for MamaBella’s stocking, so shhhhhh.

~ Elsie Pave’ Pumps in Snakeskin, size 7 ~

Wow! These shoes are gorgeous. I have other Elsie Pumps, clearly they are some of my favorites, but these are stunning. I can take a 6 1/2 or 7 in Elsie and I chose the 7 this time due to the non-adjustable strap in the front, where the pave’ “button” is. I though it would fit a little more snug there with that extra piece, and I was right. Though there’s a gap at the heel I don’t walk out of these. Unfortunately, these and the Blackwatch heel are sold out online but check the stores.

Here are a few more picks.

This is a pretty decent promo. I would love to shop for presents but everyone has asked for gift cards. I guess I’ll just have to shop this promo for me!

Don’t forget to use Ebates before placing your order. Every little order adds up.

Happy Shopping!

Finishing up J.Crew’s new arrivals with some tops.

~ Lightweight Wool Jackie Cardigan Sweater in Bow Print, Small ~

I need a Medium but the bows are really cute. It has a matching shell. I love the gold buttons on the wool Jackie Cardigans.

~ Asymmetrical Striped Ruffle Top, Medium ~

I’m on the fence with this top. The medium fit ok. It felt a little tight where the arms holes meet the body of the shirt. The back was fairly difficult, for me, to zip up. I still think the medium is the right size for me. The ruffles bother me too but they also seem a little flattering. It’s cotton but hand-wash only. Way too much trouble for me.

~ Fringy Top in Tweed and Lace, Navy, Medium ~

I unexpectedly liked this top. I didn’t care for it when I saw it online and only tried it on to review. Once I had it on I found it fit really well and had a bit of shaped to it. I like the navy color over the black and ivory but those are great dressier tops for the Holiday.

~ Vintage Cotton Tee with Beaded Zebras, Medium ~

Just your standard crew tee in a soft cotton. Love the little zebras with the heart between them. This fits TTS in the Medium.

~ Edie Top in Stewart Plaid, size 6 ~

I don’t have a try-on image for this top. I wasn’t able to get this past my chest or my arms all the way through. The are where the ruffle is placed has no give. I don’t think a size 8 would fit me either. It just runs really small. This top is poly and would have been so much prettier in cotton, silk, something else. It feels cheap to me.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Let’s prep your holiday events with some dress reviews.

~ Lace Dress with Pockets, size 6 ~

The pockets are on the chest and subtle, in my opinion. I didn’t notice them until I was fairly close to the dress. I like the lace and the silhouette. I thought the neckline might be a little tight but it doesn’t come up very high at all. I would stay in the size 6 and maybe add some Spanx. The length is just above the knee on me. This is a really great LBD, and able to be worn all year.

~ Flounce Silk Dress in Wolfstooth, size 8 ~

I was excited to try this dress on. I love the little flounce at the hem and I like the pattern too. The size 8 fit TTS. A size 6 would have been a little tight across the chest. I have an event in February and would love to get this on sale with a promo, as I don’t need it right now.

~ Ruffle-Trim Shift Dress, Vintage Champagne, size 8 ~

This is the same shift silhouette as the Wolfstooth dress and also fits TTS. The material and style is very similar to last year’s Lace Cap-Sleeve dress. The neckline and hem are trimmed in crepe de chine ruffles. I prefer the Dark Forest color, trimmed in Navy, more than the Vintage Champagne.

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!
