Do any of you find it harder to style clothes in Winter, especially when it’s freezing outside? When all you want to do is stay in warm leggings or joggers and cozy sweaters? Or in bed? As you know, I work from home and I have this problem. I can’t imagine how those of you who leave the house to go to your job in freezing weather do it. You ladies are brave, and I’m pretty sure stylish too!

I layer to stay warm and since sweatshirts are trendy, I can now grab one of those instead of a sweater. The Andie Chinos are a little thicker than jeans and help keep the cold from my legs. If I’m going out, booties and warm socks are the way to go for me. Otherwise I’m in my slippers or Chalet Boots. I have the Epic Sweatshirt layered over last year’s Crinkle Boy Shirt but the Factory Suckered Gingham is the same version.
Both the sweatshirt and Andie Chinos were still NWT in my closet. I like both of them but I was grabbing other items over these to wear. I have a few more NWT I need to pull out and style so you will hopefully see those soon!
Have a Great Day! Sending thoughts of warm sandy beaches your way!

I purchased the Silk Tie Scarf and wanted to try and style it the way J Crew did in their Style Guides from September and October. This {pin} is kind of what I used to create this outfit, just as far as layering the scarf under my clothes.

To be honest, I wore my Calf-Hair Shearling Slippers most of the day and then added the Martina Wedges when we went to dinner with The Boy. He is on his way back to school today.
I really liked the look of the scarf at the neckline. It was peaking out enough to make you think it was another shirt layered under the sweater. I do think I should have put one end of the scarf to the side instead of both ends dangling in front.
I bought the Midnight Green color of the Silk Tie Scarf. I like the look of the Black Cobalt and the Overcast Grey but I am not sure 1) how often I would layer the scarf under my clothes and 2) actually wear a silk scarf.
Do you ever take a styling idea from the Style Guides?

I really cannot get enough of the Harvest Moon Poncho. It would have to be my favorite Winter purchase this year. Especially the Maize color. I honestly did not think I could find anything to wear with this color. It turns out, it’s just as versatile as the Ivory I purchased. The sweater color is perfect to bring out the mustard yellow color in the Plaid Shirt.

I have been switching from this darker color of the Pilcro Stet Slim Ankle Jeans and the lighter color that’s currently available now. I love the fit of them and they work so well with all my short boots.

See other outfits with the Harvest Moon Poncho here.

I need to figure out what I am going to do with my Short Chalet Boots. I love them and have worn them almost every day in Winter for the last three years. I like these over Uggs because they aren’t as wide-looking as Uggs. I bought a different-brand replacement insert I was hoping would fit but it was too snug. If I size down on the insert I think I’ll feel it. I’m so sad that it may be time to retire these boots. Any suggestions on shearling boots that aren’t too chunky and wide-looking?

Have a Great Day!

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a fun and safe New Year’s Eve. We made it to and from Dallas without any major issues. We had to cut our trip a little short since Husband had some tooth issues but otherwise, it was so nice to catch up with our friends.

I am excited to share this Que Bella today since it has the whole family. The Boy has really stepped up his wardrobe since going off to College. At least he has since he’s been home. He’s probably been wearing basketball shorts and ironic tees to class but I don’t see that.

He does have to dress up for his Chapter meetings and really liked this sweater he received for Christmas. I bought him this Heather Maroon and the Heather Elm.

For New Year’s Eve, I wore my Willa Dress from Tory Burch with some sweater tights and my Harper Boots. Hubs has on a J Crew Merino Sweater and some AG Cords!!

Thank you all for spending a little time with me every know and then! I really appreciate it and look forward to a Great 2015!

Have a Great Evening!
