I was not looking for another pair of Metallic shoes but these were interesting and on sale. They are different from my other Metallic shoes I have (Martina, Lillian, Sadie). Though I am a bigger fan of the Darby, which the Cleo is replacing, these are comfortable.

There was a lone size 7 up high on a shelf. I didn’t climb it, thought about it, but used another shoe to grab them instead. Us shorties have to get a little creative for those hard-to-reach items.

I went from 1 pair of Metallic/Silver shoes to 5! I have the Tybee Sandals as well that I purchased last year. Those are too small so I’ll need to repurchase a size 7 1/2.
I should be done with my Metallic shoe collection so if you see me posting a pair on Insta, stop me! There can’t be another style that I would love, right?
Happy Shoes-day!

I’m a little obsessed these days with Tory Burch and Metallic Shoes. So when I saw the Sadie Slingback Pump for Pre-Order at Nordstrom I clicked on through and waited for a ship date. Sadly, when they arrived they were a half size too big. I had ordered my normal size 7 and the slingback does not adjust. They are sold out of the 6 1/2 so I wasn’t able to exchange them either and were returned.

I stopped by my Tory Burch store to see if they could find them somewhere for me as they were also sold out in my size online. Luckily!!! one of the SAs said they were getting the shoe in on Friday. Woo Hoo! So, here are the size 6 1/2 which is a much better fit.

The pointy-toe is not bothersome and my toes are comfortably in the shoe without being pinched.

They definitely elongate the foot.
I decided on this smaller heel so that I can wear them more often, like I would a pair of regular flats (Which I just happened to find at JC. Wait until next Shoes-day!)
Leather lining and soles; you have a love a well-made shoe.
Like the Audra Sandals, I am in LOVE with the heel detail. It was protected in felt when I opened the box. I know they won’t be seen much but I’ll know, and you will too!

Doesn’t the white seem to have a little 60s vibe? Too cute!

I am so very happy I was able to find my size in these. I have been waiting on them ever since I saw them in a magazine back in January. And they will look perfect with my Talia Dress!

Happy Shoes-day!

It seems I am a little obsessed with Tory Burch shoes so I thought I would share with you how it all started.

Thora. Thora started it all. She is a flip-flop but not just any flip-flop. She’s classy and immediately dresses up any outfit, including shorts.

I started with the most amazing pair, a Leopard print. I wore these every other day that Summer.

The following year I grabbed the Black Patent, with the black insole. There is also a Tumbled Leather in Black but the insole is brown. I prefer the matching insole for this color.

I bought the Tan in the Tumbled Leather the following year and also found Navy Blue. The Patent Thora 2 are similar to mine. I can’t determine a difference between the Thora and Thora 2 and my sales person said something so silly I can’t even remember.

You can see that the insole has some discoloration from wear. I guess it’s because these are a lighter color on the insole.

These are a flip-flop so there is no support, cushion or heel of any kind. I love that the “T” logo, in gold or silver depending on the shoe color, makes these nicer than any others I’ve owned.

Now you know what started the Tory Burch obsession. Though a little pricey around $125 for the pair, the cost-per-wear drops quickly for me as I wear these all Summer long.

Whoops, I goofed. It looks like my scheduler published this post before I added my pics. Sorry about that. Here is the full review.

I have been lusting over Metallic shoes for quite some time. I really wanted the Martina in Silver Metallic but keep missing them when a promo arrives. I decided to try the Lillian Mirror Metallic Low Wedges in Metallic Silver. I have the Collection Lillian in Calf-Hair from last Summer in my normal size 7 but that’s a little big on me. This time I ordered a 6 1/2.

The size is perfect. I always feel like my foot is going to slip out when wearing my Leopard ones.

Though a skinny wedge, it is low enough to walk in them all day without discomfort. The ankle straps are adjustable and don’t cut into the skin at all. There is a little gap between my heel and the heel of the shoe but I think that should be expected.

I love the Silver Metallic. They will be perfect for Spring and definitely Summer. I already outfits create around these sandals, one of which includes the Factory Scalloped Shift Dress in Pale Citrus. They even look cute with rolled-cuff boyfriend jeans.
I ordered these with the 25% off Cardmember promo. It would have been nice to get them on sale but since I have plans to wear these many times over the Summer I know my CPW will come down quickly in the next 6 months.
Happy Shoes-day!

Tory Burch has always had some lovely shoes. I have the Tevray Wedge Sandals, the Amalie Sandals and the Laser Cut Pumps. I found the Audra Sandal in Navy and Metallic in-store completely swooned over them. It was the heel detail that did me in. I had only planned on getting the Navy pair but when I tried on the Metallic for sizing reference I loved those too. I know I will wear these all Summer long. The heel is block and a little over 1 1/2 inches in height (45mm). Perfect for those women who want a little height but can’t wear heels very often.

Look at that detail! Just gorgeous.

I love the Navy because 1) Navy sandals are rare. 2) The footbed is Navy and not Tan like the Metallic.

I love how the Navy leather is the background for the gold Tory logo.

I’m really tired of this cold Winter and am so ready for Summer. New arrivals for Spring do not help relieve the Winter Blues but they sure are fun to shop. I did end up returning the Metallic pair since I purchased the Nori Laser-Cut Wedge.

Have a Great Day!
