Having been under-whelmed with J Crew retail releases I used my Rewards Card on a couple of Factory items. I ordered the Beaches Sweatshirt in a Medium for a more slouchy fit. Now I just need to crank down the A/C and wear it.

The Love Collector Tee is just another cute graphic tee I couldn’t pass up. I’m wearing a Medium. The cotton is really soft.

The Aqua Centerpiece Necklace matches the Crystal Compilation Bracelet almost exactly. I missed out on the retail necklace so I was happy to see it show up at the Factory.

Bracelet and necklace…almost a perfect match.
What have you purchased from the Factory lately?

Probably like many of you, I took advantage of the 50% off at the J Crew Factory last week. I was busy packing for my trip so I was happy this offer was online as well!

Scalloped Shift Dress, Chrome Green – I am such a fan of this dress. It joins the Black and Pale Citrus I already own. The color is so pretty IRL. It came just in time for my trip so I packed it along with the Pale Citrus dress.

Classic Button-Down Shirt in Cotton-Silk, Dark Cove – This is the only item I ordered in the Punk Floral print. I love that the shirt is blue and not green. I didn’t even notice it at first, until I saw it on Gigi. This is such a nice lightweight blouse. The color isn’t really purple but more blue; not navy though. I’m glad this print was done in a different color.

I love the feel of it on and it works really well with the Lace-Stripe Skirt in Light Citron. If you prefer a more subtle pop of color you can choose the Seville Wedge Espadrille in Citrus Lime works well too. As you can see, I chose both.

Printed Pull-on Short, Florida Pink – I’m so sad because I may the only person who isn’t fond of these shorts. Yes, they are cute but I just didn’t like the pull-on style or elastic waistband.

5″ Printed Chino Short, Modern Red – I like the print an color of these shorts but they ran a bit big in the waist. I’m on the fence with keeping them as the size 8, wearing them, and the size 6 are both sold out online.

Keating Boy Blazer in Chambray – I wanted the retail Schoolboy Blazer in Chambray but it’s so popular it has sold out. I settled on the size 8 and am so happy I was able to find it. Rolled cuffs and un-buttoned is how I’ll wear it.
Tortoise Crystal Pendant Necklace – This necklace is very pretty IRL. It has a nice weight to it and doesn’t feel too light like some other Factory necklaces I’ve tried and have.

More and more the Factory is stepping up their game. I have been hesitant to buy from the current retail Collection since it seems a lot of the items then go to the Factory. Here are some of my picks.

Denim V-Neck Tee – I love the casual vibe to this denim tee. It’s probably also very lightweight and perfect for Summer.

Charley Sweater in Retro Floral – The Punk Floral print is one of my very favorites from J Crew. I have several items in this print and am happy to see it reproduced for the Factory. The sweater is one of my Factory Faves as I missed out on the Cashmere version from the retail.

Scalloped Shift Dress in Chome Green – This green look so pretty and I am a fan of the Scalloped Shift Dress. I ordered this one.

I love my Silk Crepe Maxidresses so this Racerback Maxidress intrigues me.

I’m all about shorts this Summer season so I am going to try the Printed Pull-on Shorts in Florida Pink.

I’m sure the Poolside color of the Keating Linen Boy Blazer is gorgeous IRL. I see there is Petite sizing but have been having trouble switching to that.

I missed out on Tortoise Crystal Pendant Necklace last year so I’m happy to see it for the Factory.

Lastly, a pair of shoes, not Metallic, though I was tempted by the Isabelle in Metallic Silver. The Isabelle Printed Bow Pumps are adorable, though back-ordered until May. I hope mine ship!

The Everett Field Jacket from the Factory is almost identical to the retail Downtown Field Jacket. I originally had the Mossy Brown but never wore it because I wanted the Navy instead. When I was at the Factory Store a few weeks ago, I saw the jacket in Navy. The only difference between it and the online image was that the belt was missing, which I didn’t want anyway.

The material is not as thick or as sheen/shiny as the retail version. Not sure how that translates to weather proof as I don’t know how well the retail version holds up to rain.

At the time the jacket was 40% off and then another 25% with the coupon I had, making the jacket $56! Pretty awesome for a replica of the retail version. I’ve already worn it a few times as well over the weekend, bringing my CPW down. It’s the perfect jacket to wear to transition from Spring to Summer.

When I stopped at the Factory store last week I saw the Keating Boy Blazer in Tipped Linen. Because I also ordered the retail Schoolboy Blazer in Tipped Linen in Ivory I’m going to do a review of the two. A “SmAcKdOwN” as Gigi would say.

First is the Schoolboy Blazer. I ordered my normal blazer size of 10 Petite and the fit is spot on. I reviewed this blazer in Navy a few weeks ago and though this is tipped the material is not Crosshatch Linen like the Navy. The gold buttons feel a little cheap.

The lining is the same color as the blazer so it doesn’t show through. There is a little pink trim on the inside as well.

Next is the Keating Boy Blazer. I must say I really liked the quality of this Blazer. The size 8 fit pretty well. The buttons are great too being white and silver instead of gold like the retail version. Otherwise the shoulders and arms were comfortable and the Linen is really nice. The lining is striped and you could barely see it through the material in the arm.

The sleeve lining is striped while the body is Ivory.
A few side-by-sides…Retail on the left, Factory on the right

I prefer the Factory buttons over the Retail. The silver just seems to look better with the blazer. They also don’t feel as cheap or light. Not that they are Lexington buttons but they do feel better than the Retail buttons.

I think I really like the Keating Boy Blazer more than the Schoolboy Blazer. They are both 100% Linen but the Keating Boy Blazer feels nicer. The first visit to the Factory store the Keating was 30% off. When I went during the week it was 40% off. I was able to get the blazer for around $75.

Have you tried either of these blazers? What do you think of the Keating Boy Blazer?
