The Cashmere Cody Cardigan that is.

We are having a family date day to celebrate The Boy’s Straight AAAAA’s. He’s been begging to go to this Brazilian steakhouse so we’ll be doing that after an afternoon movie. I’ve decided I may not want to put myself in a “meat coma” like I did on our anniversary two years ago so I may stick with the awesome salad bar and sneak a little piece here and there from Husband. The smell of beef made me nauseous for days.

Here’s Day 6…

Tee: J Crew Vintage Cotton Sequin Henley (Size S – A little snug in this size. I should have gotten the Medium.)
Caridgan: J Crew Cashmere Cody in Matisse Blue (Isn’t this color gorgeous?)
Jeans: GAP Curvy
Shoes: Ann Taylor Perfect Pump

I am not a nail person. I get pedi’s all the time but I have always had a bad habit of biting my nails. After I saw this gorgeous purple color by Chanel (Paradoxal), I had to have it. And my nails are thanking me for it. They are growing and I am not biting them. I broke on on the other hand so as soon as it grows a little longer I’ll get a manicure. I can’t wait!

Have a great weekend!

I really liked last year;s GAP Boyfriend distressed jeans. So much that I bought two pair, in regular wash and light wash. I should have bought more. They are my go-to jeans for super-casual and around the house wear.

Here’s an outfit I wore last week.

Blouse: Joie – gift from my Momo T
Jeans: GAP Boyfriend Distressed
Belt: J Crew
Shoes: Steve Madden Gladiator Wood Heel

“R.I.P” – Literally!
I ran errands in this and it was not pretty at the end of the day. There was a frayed “hole” right above the knee. As I got out of my car I heard the “rip”. It wasn’t big. But then I had to get in the car and back out again and each time the “hole” got bigger and bigger. I made sure my other pair didn’t have fraying in the same place. (It doesn’t.) Now I’ve got to find another pair. GAP has some but they are too long. I hate that their “Ankle” length is still 3-4 inches too long.
Have a great day!

The thing about seeing people you haven’t seen in 20 years is that some people do not change. And there are others who have done a complete 180. I apparently was the latter. I was a shy, naive and didn’t voice my opinion very much. I’m the complete opposite now. (Guess I have to be if I have a blog, huh?) There were people who didn’t recognize me (it was the hair) until they saw my badge with my Senior picture on it. I had fun but people also acted exactly as I expected. So, like I said, some things never change. Especially in a small town.

I got Husband’s opinion on a few dresses and picked this LDB.

But then Husband didn’t get to the cleaners in time so he was going to wear jeans. I didn’t want to be too over-dressed so I switched to dark jeans and the J Crew Tiered Vintage Fleur Cami, GAP Essential Jeans and my red Louboutin’s.
Not the best smile but I had two “yahoos” doing bunny ears to each other. CRAZY!

I had fun.

Now, anyone know where my fairy god-mother is? Either her or those mice from Cinderella. I have guests this weekend and a wrecked house!

I’m heading in to one of our market offices today and have the opportunity to wear my Rose Vines Perfect Shirt and use my Bisbee Satchel. My drop-in from The Plaid Purse hasn’t come in yet but it goes so well with what I’m wearing.

And Gigi reminded me that the coveting and visiting I was doing with this purse is called “faux rent”. Love it. Here’s her list of other “Crewlang“.

More like Burnt Orange!

Hey look…it’s Bella.

The front is sweeping through Central/South Texas and we’ve already hit our high temp for the day – 39. Brrr-rabbit…So layering is required. I’ve got work then the boy’s basketball game and then sitting down to watch the Texas Longhorns take on some football team from Alabama (tee hee). Can’t wait for the game and we’ll have some delicious turkey chili to warm us up while watching.
