Just another gorgeous day around here. Great for layering one of my new favorite blouses and a favorite cardigan.

Cece Suede Ballet Flats in Bright Flame

I was able to find another pair of Cece Ballet Flats on ebay, this time in the Bright Flame. They are not as red as they show online but still great for a subtle pop of color. The Retro Lemon has now caught my eye. As for the Lemon Liftoff Blouse, my Anthropologie (La Cantera San Antonio) is having the 40% off sale items and there were a few of these blouses still available, if you are looking for one.

Enjoy your day!

I had to head in to one of my local offices today and absolutely knew I wanted to wear this blouse. The Owl print is just so darling and I received lots of compliments today about it. I kept this outfit pretty simple since it’s a printed blouse.

Jeans: GAP Essential, 8
Shoes: Christian Louboutin Simple 85 in Peacock, 37

I decided to do a single knot as opposed to a bow. I ended up un-buttoning the sleeves since they were a bit tight. Girls from Savoy is one of my favorite brands at Anthropologie and I am always excited to see their new pieces.

The hair is getting pretty long isn’t it? I have a salon appointment in two weeks and cannot wait. I’ve had short hair for so long I have no idea how to style it at this length.

So now a styling question. What would you wear with the Lemon Liftoff Blouse?

Here are some quick outfit posts from this week. We have been having great 85 degree weather here in SATX. Wonderful weather for Fiesta.

J Crew Cecilia Dress – Monday work-from-home…I also had an HOA board meeting to attend.

Forever 21 One Shoulder Maxi Dress – Super casual work-from-home-day

I wore one of my J Crew Frances Cami’s on Wednesday for another office visit/training. This color is so rich and beautiful. My stylist was able to squeeze me in first thing to get my haircut. I was trying to hold out to 12 weeks but my hair was getting pretty thick and un-manageable so I caved and called for the next available appointment. I feel so much better now.

And here’s what I wore Thursday.

The Boy is off from school today due to the Battle of Flowers Parade. Can you believe it? All the school districts in this city are closed today for a parade! The main reason is because so many student groups are participating in the parade that it made more sense to give all the kids the day off as opposed to skewing their attendance records. Anyway, he’s invited 5 of his friends over to work on a video project and “test” out the pool for the season.

Have a wonderful day! Oh…and go check out Pam’s post on the Fiesta Royal Court dresses. They are so beautiful.

I’ve been trying to figure out a new title for post for my OOTD’s other than “Quick Post” or “Today’s OOTD”. Please forgive my Spanish as I am not fluent. I certainly understand a lot more than I can speak and am try to re-learn it so I can help The Boy with his classes in the next few years. “Que Bella”, I have found, translates to “How beautiful”. I really wanted to have the word “bella” in it if I could so that’s what I’ve come up with. We’ll see how it goes.

Here’s what I wore Thursday and Friday. Thursday was quite a beautiful day. Gorgeous blue sky and sun everywhere. This is the Fluttering Obi Dress by Corey Lynn Calter from Anthropologie, size 4. When I tried on the dress the belt was stitched in the back so I had to take a seam ripper to it so that I could wear the belt the way it shows in the picture on the Anthro size. The only thing I don’t like about this dress is the sleeve. It is elastic and so if I push them up they are tight on my arm. I really loathe elastic on the arms but sometimes you have to suffer for fashion, right? The print is too pretty and did I mention it’s a size 4! I love when I can fit into my 20’s size! These are worn with my Steve Madden Inragee boots.

Friday was an equally gorgeous day – very Spring-like – and 75 degrees with a slight breeze. For me that meant a cardigan and for Husband that meant shorts and a t-shirt. I’m wearing J Crew Cashmere Cardigan in Cobblestone, J Crew Silk and Sequin Scoopneck Tee in Dark Plum (see the Almond color on Gigi here), GAP Essential Jeans and Prada Leopard flats. I had a salon appointment yesterday and, because I’m trying to grow out my hair, it’s not as short as I would probably like. But I’ll get there. Not sure where “there” is but I’ll figure it out soon enough.

So, can you tell where I’ve taken this picture? No? Well, I’m in a dressing room…at the J Crew Factory Store. I was able to swing by after my salon appointment and tried on a few things. I really wanted to see the Neapolitan skirt and shorts IRL and they did not disappoint. I’ll post pics later this weekend.

Have a great day!

I’m proud of myself for getting dressed today considering how cold it was this morning. I even put on shoes instead of my Wicked Good Clogs. L.L. Bean has now come out with boots too (like Uggs). They are so comfy and cozy and if I could find a way to sleep in them I would!

On to my work-from-home outfit. It’s pretty basic but very bright.

Turtleneck: J Crew Tissue Turtleneck Tee in Orange Flame
Jeans: GAP Essential
Shoes: J Crew Penelope Peep-Toes

Have a great evening!
