Though these aren’t included in the current THURSDAY promo, I did want to share my try-ons in case you are considering any of them.

~ Downtown Field Jacket, Canvas, Small ~

This just fit in the Small. I would size to a Medium since I will wear layers underneath this. I really like this classic canvas color. It will go with everything. I have the Deep Burgundy color and the Factory version in Navy so I’m good on this jacket.

~ Embroidered Gauze Eyelet Mini, Navy, Small ~

I consider this a beach or pool skirt. It’s short and super casual. Maybe I’d run to the grocery store in it but I wouldn’t consider it a date night or dinner skirt unless it was a really casual outdoor place. I have last year’s version of this in white. The small still felt big but probably due to the elastic waist.

~ Easy Linen Midi Skirt with Ties, Vintage Kelly, size 6 ~

This skirt caught my eye in-store in both the vintage kelly and lapis color. I was drawn to it being linen and lined in cotton. A great combination to keep you cool in Summer. The skirt has a side zip and then you tie three separate sets of string ties. I would have preferred this skirt without the ties but it’s still cute. This skirt also runs big as the size 6 fit very well. I am a size 8 in skirts 90% of the time, so this one is an exception. I really liked it and would have considered it had there been petite sizing.

Happy Shopping!

Last up from the new arrivals is one of my favorite sets, that features The Downtown Field Jacket. It’s way too hot around here to consider Fall clothing. Just thinking about jackets and sweaters and boots makes me hot.

~ The Downtown Field Jacket, Deep Burgundy, Medium ~
I love this color. It really is a deep shade of burgundy, IRL. The Medium fit TTS, with the sleeves just a little long on me. Buttoned-up, it looks and is fitted. I could get away with layering a vest underneath (J Crew, Factory, Wool Factory) for a little added warmth.

Un-buttoned and a more relaxed look. I usually don’t zip and button jackets and blazers so this look is more me. I really love how it looks with the Vintage Scarf print. It makes the color on the skirt pop just a little more.

The small details of this jacket are the trim when you fold the sleeve to make a cuff. The same checkered print is also on the inside of the jacket. I never noticed this before on the other colors. Does anyone know if this is the same in the Black or Mossy Brown? I can’t tell in the online photos.
This fit TTS on me but it still seemed a little off. It felt a little tighter in the sleeves and the length seems a lot longer than the other Tippis I have. The neckline also looks a little lower and somewhat loose. I wasn’t really that impressed with this Tippi. I didn’t need to un-button the shoulder buttons to get into the sweater. They seem more for decoration than anything.

~ Flutter Mini Skirt in Vintage Scarf, size 8 ~

This is a very cute skirt that runs TTS to just a smidge small. This fit pretty snug, almost like a pencil skirt, at the hips. This may be on purpose to flare out the hem a little more. The material at the hem also felt like scuba but not as think as the other scuba skirts in the past. I really liked the print on the skirt but would probably get more wear out of the dress.

This was, by far, one of my favorite outfits I put together, despite the odd-fit of the Tippi. Unfortunately, the Downtown Field Jacket is excluded from the SHOPMORE promo.
What do you think of these items? Have you tried this Tippi yet?

Funnel Sweatshirt in Stripe, Small – I loved this sweatshirt jacket. It was so cozy and fit well. Now, to just get rid of all my hoodies for this little jacket. I do like the gray over the navy but maybe because I’m thinking I could layer the Navy Excursion Vest over it.
Toothpick Cone Denim Jeans in Parker Wash, Size 29 – I liked the wash and feel of these Toothpick Jeans but I need to size to a 30. I passed as I found another pair I loved more.

The Downtown Field Jacket, Medium, Black – I loved this color. I have the Factory Navy version but would definitely get the black too.
Suede D’Orsay Flats, Size 6 1/2, Black – This was the better size compared to the gray version. I’ll have a closer look at them on Shoes-day.

Sateen Toothpick Pant, Size 29, Dark Fatigue – The sateen on these feels more suede-like than sateen, and very comfortable. Again, I’d size to a 30 as I do all my retail Toothpick jeans. My store seemed to have sold through all the size 30s in various colors.

Mixed Media Sweater, Medium, Vintage Cabernet
Lookout High Rise Jean in Kirk Wash, Size 30 – I have been hoping for high-rise skinnies I loved for a while and am hugely satisfied with these. I will need to have these hemmed but that’s the only minus. The waistband sits just under my belly button. LOVE!

That wraps up all my fitting room outfits from the new Fall arrivals. What were your favorites?
Whoops! I have one more set on Sunday!

The Everett Field Jacket from the Factory is almost identical to the retail Downtown Field Jacket. I originally had the Mossy Brown but never wore it because I wanted the Navy instead. When I was at the Factory Store a few weeks ago, I saw the jacket in Navy. The only difference between it and the online image was that the belt was missing, which I didn’t want anyway.

The material is not as thick or as sheen/shiny as the retail version. Not sure how that translates to weather proof as I don’t know how well the retail version holds up to rain.

At the time the jacket was 40% off and then another 25% with the coupon I had, making the jacket $56! Pretty awesome for a replica of the retail version. I’ve already worn it a few times as well over the weekend, bringing my CPW down. It’s the perfect jacket to wear to transition from Spring to Summer.
