Yucky drizzly foggy weather today here in South Central Texas. These are the days I’m happy I work from home. But I decided I wasn’t going to stay in PJs or sweats all day. I’m going to make an extra effort to get dressed at least 3 days of the work week. Since we also have the boy’s basketball game this evening that gives me a little more motivation to do this.

IRL

I received my Wool Pencil Skirt today and am very happy but also slightly disappointed. I ordered a size 6 and the length is at least 3 inches, maybe 4 past my knees. Boo Hoo! I’ll have to get it altered. Being on the lower end of the 5 foot range in height I should be used to getting alterations but I just wish things would fit just right every time.

Here it is…

Perfect Shirt – I really like this look.

“Altered” – This is about where I would like this skirt to be.

Now here’s my dilemma…SHOES! I can’t believe it. J Crew has it with the Spencer Patent-Trimmed Suede Mary Janes in Chalkboard (Gray). (And, I just sold some gray suede mary-janes on ebay. Oh well, they didn’t fit right anyway.)

So below I have the skirt paired with my Python Kitten Heel Louboutin’s and then with my Wall Street Louboutin’s.

I guess that’s a great excuse to Buy the Shoes!

I wore some of my new J Crew stuff last week to get my haircut. I paired it with my new Christian Louboutin SKY-HIGH espadrilles. I thought for sure I’d break an ankle or worse but they were actually quite comfortable. And I got them on sale…woo hoo!

Close-up of my Loubies!

They looked really good with the outfit. I didn’t really have any cute brown flat sandals (surprise!) to go with it. I’ll wait until after the summer to see if I still want/need them and then they’ll be on sale!

Side-view of haircut…I LOVE IT! My stylist is awesome and always funks it up differently each time. Although, I can’t seem to style it the EXACT same way.

It’s hot over here in Texas, so stay cool people.
