The Container Store is currently having their Elfa Shelving Sale. This is one of my favorite they have. It last almost two months and they have it again at least once more during the year. All of the Elfa Shelving is currently 30% off. What I love about the Elfa system is that you can create anything you want. A closet, like I did; an office space/desk, like I’m planning on; or you can even have an organized garage. It also comes Free-standing, if you don’t have a closet or enough space to organize one.

I re-arrange my Elfa system every few months to accommodate my needs and the flow of the closet. I usually use a shelf in the shoe section for my Winter Sweaters, which are then store away in the Summer. I am looking at these drawers to add to the closet. You can use them freestanding with it’s own frame or onto your existing Elfa system. And you can add a top to them to make it a container so that you can store them away.

I have never bought the Fascia. For me, it’s just a cosmetic look that doesn’t suit my needs. I do like the look of the Platinum as opposed to White, so that’s always my pick.
I bought my Boot Shapers there. They are great because they have a hook so you can hang them in your closet, off the ground. I even bought my Flip-Flop holder from there.

If you are looking to update your closet I really recommend the Efla Shelving. I know that there are other systems out there but I have designed two closets with it and loved both. If you have a store near you the employees are always super friendly and extremely helpful. It’s definitely a place I would love to work, if not at J Crew or Anthropologie, of course. The system if very easy to install and if you don’t want to do the work yourself, the installation is also 30% off right now. What an even sweeter deal!

And, if you have your closet complete, there’s always the kitchen. This over door rack, with the Mounted Standards is great for holding those items in your pantry that you frequently use.

Happy Organizing!

I bought the Selvedge Chambray Shirt right before the holidays, hoping it kept with the longer shirt trend J Crew has been promoting. Turns out it just covers my booty which is longer than my other denim and chambray shirts. I have worn it several times already and love it under the Abstract Fair Isle Sweater. I took my normal size 8 in this shirt and it fits TTS.

I have had the Cashmere Shawl-Collar Sweater since Holiday 2009. It looks great over ruffled blouses like Silk Frances Cami from a few years ago. The Pixie Pants in Tuxedo Stripe are last year’s version but you can still get this year’s version. Though they need it, I haven’t had the chance to get them hemmed. Every time I wear them I am wearing boots so I just fold them up. I did wash them in the machine and not dry clean them. I put them on delicate in cold water. (I have a front-load machine.) The leather stripe came out all wrinkled and crumpled and I thought I had ruined them. After they dried I pulled on that part to see what would happen and they went back to normal. Especially after I put them on. I do wear them quite a few times before washing and I don’t know how many times I’ll be able to get away with it before something happens to the leather. Hopefully, I’ll get my fill of them by then.

The Anonymous Ism socks are from last year’s men’s collection but there are new offerings this year {here, here, here}. Mine have deer on them and since they are for men, they are a little bigger but much cozier too! I am finally wearing my Tortoise Crystal Pendant and paired it with an older J Crew necklace, maybe the Pearl & Box Chain. {Que Bella} I forgot how much I liked the necklace. I’ll have to be sure to wear it so it’s more noticeable next time.
I hope you are all staying warm this weekend! I am hoping to make my niece’s basketball tournament tomorrow, with maybe a stop at the outlet. I haven’t been there in a while. Kate Spade and J Crew are calling to me.
Have a Great Day!

I purchased the Silk Tie Scarf and wanted to try and style it the way J Crew did in their Style Guides from September and October. This {pin} is kind of what I used to create this outfit, just as far as layering the scarf under my clothes.

To be honest, I wore my Calf-Hair Shearling Slippers most of the day and then added the Martina Wedges when we went to dinner with The Boy. He is on his way back to school today.
I really liked the look of the scarf at the neckline. It was peaking out enough to make you think it was another shirt layered under the sweater. I do think I should have put one end of the scarf to the side instead of both ends dangling in front.
I bought the Midnight Green color of the Silk Tie Scarf. I like the look of the Black Cobalt and the Overcast Grey but I am not sure 1) how often I would layer the scarf under my clothes and 2) actually wear a silk scarf.
Do you ever take a styling idea from the Style Guides?

I really cannot get enough of the Harvest Moon Poncho. It would have to be my favorite Winter purchase this year. Especially the Maize color. I honestly did not think I could find anything to wear with this color. It turns out, it’s just as versatile as the Ivory I purchased. The sweater color is perfect to bring out the mustard yellow color in the Plaid Shirt.

I have been switching from this darker color of the Pilcro Stet Slim Ankle Jeans and the lighter color that’s currently available now. I love the fit of them and they work so well with all my short boots.

See other outfits with the Harvest Moon Poncho here.

I need to figure out what I am going to do with my Short Chalet Boots. I love them and have worn them almost every day in Winter for the last three years. I like these over Uggs because they aren’t as wide-looking as Uggs. I bought a different-brand replacement insert I was hoping would fit but it was too snug. If I size down on the insert I think I’ll feel it. I’m so sad that it may be time to retire these boots. Any suggestions on shearling boots that aren’t too chunky and wide-looking?

Have a Great Day!

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a fun and safe New Year’s Eve. We made it to and from Dallas without any major issues. We had to cut our trip a little short since Husband had some tooth issues but otherwise, it was so nice to catch up with our friends.

I am excited to share this Que Bella today since it has the whole family. The Boy has really stepped up his wardrobe since going off to College. At least he has since he’s been home. He’s probably been wearing basketball shorts and ironic tees to class but I don’t see that.

He does have to dress up for his Chapter meetings and really liked this sweater he received for Christmas. I bought him this Heather Maroon and the Heather Elm.

For New Year’s Eve, I wore my Willa Dress from Tory Burch with some sweater tights and my Harper Boots. Hubs has on a J Crew Merino Sweater and some AG Cords!!

Thank you all for spending a little time with me every know and then! I really appreciate it and look forward to a Great 2015!

Have a Great Evening!
