Do any of you find it harder to style clothes in Winter, especially when it’s freezing outside? When all you want to do is stay in warm leggings or joggers and cozy sweaters? Or in bed? As you know, I work from home and I have this problem. I can’t imagine how those of you who leave the house to go to your job in freezing weather do it. You ladies are brave, and I’m pretty sure stylish too!

I layer to stay warm and since sweatshirts are trendy, I can now grab one of those instead of a sweater. The Andie Chinos are a little thicker than jeans and help keep the cold from my legs. If I’m going out, booties and warm socks are the way to go for me. Otherwise I’m in my slippers or Chalet Boots. I have the Epic Sweatshirt layered over last year’s Crinkle Boy Shirt but the Factory Suckered Gingham is the same version.
Both the sweatshirt and Andie Chinos were still NWT in my closet. I like both of them but I was grabbing other items over these to wear. I have a few more NWT I need to pull out and style so you will hopefully see those soon!
Have a Great Day! Sending thoughts of warm sandy beaches your way!

Can you tell I love the Harvest Moon Poncho from Anthropologie? This Ivory color goes with everything. I wore this outfit a week ago to try to finish all my Christmas shopping and received so many compliments on both the Poncho and the Hebrides Geo Pendant Necklace. The Tartan Shirt look great underneath it though now I wish that it was offered in the longer length this season so it would have extended past the sweater. Why does J Crew not bring this back as a staple each year? Or at least a Factory staple?
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and received everything they wanted! I hosted Christmas Day this year and there were presents galore for my niece and nephews. It was crazy but we all enjoyed a delicious Italian lunch of Lasagna, Spaghetti and Meatballs, Baked Tomatoes, Caesar Salad and lots and lots of desserts, most of which my mom made. Cookies galore!
I’m working today so I hope everyone enjoys the after-Christmas sales! MamaBella is going out today to check out Dillard’s and Talbots.
Have a Great Day!

I am lucky enough that I am able to work-from-home most of the year. I usually have to visit the office once or twice a month. It’s not required, but sometimes a project or meeting needs my actual presence, not my virtual one.

I love my Plaza Skirt in Glen Plaid and couldn’t wait to wear it again. This time I pattern-mixed it with the Tory Burch Peg Shell (now on sale). I was in a rush and didn’t have time for a great pic. I’ll wear this again though as I absolutely loved this pairing!

I wanted to be casual but chic on my Wednesday visit and chose the same colors from my Old Navy post. The blazer came off around lunch since it wasn’t as cool by the afternoon. I probably could have done a darker wash jean but I love the Toothpick Jean in Miller Wash. They are so stretchy and comfortable.

These are two of my favorite outfits. I can’t wait to style something similar again!

I saw this little Linen Boatneck blouse on Heather at the Lovely Red Door and went on a hunt to find one this weekend. It’s very similar to my white one from Zara that I’ve worn many times this Summer. Mother had a lunch for The Boy so I wore this with a little punch of color in my Seville Espadrilles.

I completely loved this outfit.

Happy Monday!

I didn’t want to let the week end and not show you how I styled the rest of my “Old School Crew” items for my Week 5 Capsule Remix. By far, my favorite of the week was the Delfine Pencil Skirt.

I felt a little exposed in the Campo di Fiori Dress. I’m not sure my girls are meant for the top of this dress. Still, it’s a gorgeous print and I’m lucky to have found it. It does run small. I found it in a size 8 originally but was able to trade it for a 10 with the lovely JCA, JCrewJD. A brown belt and shoes finished the look.

Next time I would probably tie a Chambray Shirt at the Empire Waist. Cardigans are always an option too. I’d probably go with a cropped one since the waist is so high.

I found the Hugo Guinness Tee for $20, after discount. As you can see it’s very sheer. I have on a nude bra which shows right through. The Ischia Mini Skirt has so many colors to choose from, including a Chambray Top or the Linen Perfect Shirt in Lemon Pulp.

I’ve worn this pairing before {here}. The blues match just perfectly together. This is one of my favorite prints from J Crew. The blues and browns together are so pretty. It also looks great with White Denim.

So, that’s how I styled my “Old School Crew”. How do you style yours?
