Lucky Brand currently has 50% off everything for Black Friday, no code needed. I actually stopped by the store before going to the Anthropologie Fashion Shows and found a few things I liked to try on.

~ Embroidered Shift Dress, Small ~

I was headed to a concert over the weekend and thought I might find something cool to wear that was beaded or embellished in some way. This dress was a pretty color and styled in the store with a Leather Jacket and floppy hat. This fit fairly well in the Small with the exception of the sleeves being a little snug. I wouldn’t size up though as the flow through the body and the length are perfect.

~ Embellished Tank Top, XS ~

This was a return and I really liked it. I knew that I am a size smaller in Lucky Brand so I thought I would see how the XS fit in case I wanted to order the Small though it wouldn’t arrive in time for my night out. The XS actually fit but the Small would be better. It was just a little tight at the underarms and chest. The Small would still drape nicely and be a little looser in that area. The beading and embellishment are front and back.

~ Embellished Shell, Small ~

This was another store return and it was styled with a black leather jacket. The beading and embellishment is done so well. But it is a little on the heavy side. I wouldn’t size to a Medium on this as the Small fits very well. This is such a beautiful statement piece that looks just as good with jeans as it would with Leather or Lace Pants.

~ Pleated Tunic, Ruby Red, Small ~

This is just a plain tunic with pleating at the front. I thought the red might be nice for Christmas with a sparkly necklace. The image on your right is a truer depiction of the color. The Small fit fine to a little snug in the arms. But the length and fit through the body is good.

~ Sweet Boot, 29 Ankle ~

I love this dark wash with very little fading. The ankle length is still a little too long at a 30-inch inseam, in heels. I’d probably cut an inch off for heels and boots. The denim was really comfortable but is not 100% cotton. It’s got 20% Poly and 2% Spandex blended with the cotton. I imagine it could shrink some so I might wash and dry them before taking them to be hemmed just to see if they will shrink up in the length.

Though I don’t normally shop there, I do like Lucky Brand items. I can always find a pair of jeans that I like that also fit well, and they are made in the USA in LA. I have a very favorite tie-dye embroidered tunic from Lucky Brand that I bought almost 10 years ago. I knew I probably wouldn’t make it to the store so I ordered the Sweet Boot online.

Last week, my store had a Holiday Fashion Show that was so much fun. I never was able to share my picks for November so I’ll just right to December. I will also have a few reviews for you soon.

The Curved Cables Poncho is very similar to my Harvest Moon Poncho from last year.  The Artist Stripe Tee would be a great option for the J Crew Black Sequin Pants. I also have a pair of Tuxedo Shorts that would be nice with this tee. Lastly, I thought the Eraso Tassel Ring was originally a bracelet. It looks so cool and I would love to have it.

And here’s a review of my new favorite jeans, Pilcro Wide-Leg Sailor Jeans. I sized down to a 28, probably due to the button-fly and high-waist. They have a wide-leg and large hem, along with long, wide pockets in front and back. It’s really nice to have non-skinny jeans options in my closet.

I’ve already worn them several times, posting some Que Bella’s of them.

Use code SHOPTOIT to take 25% off everything, TODAY ONLY!

Currently you can take 30% off almost everything at J Crew with code HOLIDAY. They also had another roll-out this week with more Holiday items. Everything looks so amazing and it’s hard to narrow down my shopping cart. Here are just a few items I like.

Sadly, the Aran Craft Honeycomb Wool Throw and Chup Santa Socks are not included in the promo. I would add either one of those as a ride-along.

Happy Black Friday!

I use L’Occitane en Provence for my total skin care regimen. Their products are the only ones that keep my Rosacea at bay, even when I fail to take my prescription. I started out slowly with the Shea Butter Cleansing Oil. It is safe on my eyes, removes almost all of my make-up and moisturizes my skin. At the same time, I also received samples of the Divine Cream. I didn’t even finish the samples I received before I went back in the store to buy the jar. It made my face feel even more moisturized and didn’t have a smell at all.

I would advise you to sign up for their emails and become an insider. They always have gift sets for a lower price than normal when you spend a certain amount. For Black Friday, you can pick from several “extras” if you spend a certain amount. I love these promos because I can refill on items I’m getting low on and get little extras for gifts and samples for my guest room. Win Win Win! Right now, while supplies last you can get these Black Friday items.

I just refilled my Divine Cream and was able to get the Radiant Divine Collection. I use it twice daily and it lasts me two months so I’m pretty stingy on the samples and travel size I get, in case I run out before my refill arrives. Other gift sets I plan on giving this year are below. The hand cream is always a good bet as that is what people are most familiar with.

I cannot recommend L’Occitane en Provence enough. And love when my guests use the samples I’ve left for them!

Happy (early) Black Friday shopping!

I really enjoyed seeing the Holiday roll-out from J Crew last week. There are so many things I added to my wishlist and I did buy one item immediately and have already worn it.

I have an older version Tartan Shirt but it’s starting to fit a little snug. The Perfect Shirt in Stewart Plaid would be an exact replacement of it. There’s also one for Men and Boys. The shirt would go well with the Sequin Pull-on Pants. I’m always leery of getting sequined pants or skirts for fear of the sequins getting caught on something I’m sitting on.  Another perfect party item it the Perfect Party Skirt. I tried this on and will review this week but I loved it! Even in the longer length. I haven’t loved a retail pencil skirt in a while but this might just get added to my closet. I glanced over the Embellished Tippi in Glen Plaid when it came out online but it caught my eye when I saw it in-store. I ended up buying it and have already worn it. It’s has the perfect amount of subtle sparkle to it.

Accessories are plentiful in this roll-out. They always make great stocking-stuffers or last minute gifts. Especially socks like these Penguins or Bulldogs.

I tried on several items last week so I’ll have reviews coming soon!
