J Crew: Cap-Sleeve Marble Print Top, Faux Leather Pleated Mini Skirt

~ Cap-Sleeve Marble Print Top, size 6 ~

Once I knew the Chiffon Dress in Marble Print was not going to work out for me I put my hopes the blouse. The size 6 was a nice fit and not tight or pulling anywhere. I like the print but I just can’t understand why it’s put on Poly and then price over $100. Yes, it’s now machine-washable but this pricing poly material item as high as silk items is ridiculous.I’ll buy my J Crew poly at the Factory store.
~ Faux Leather Pleated Mini Skirt, Black, size 8 ~

I knew this skirt would not have any give in the waist and so I grabbed an 8 to try on. That was the right call. It hits me at my waist and stop about an inch above the knee. It’s normal length on me as opposed to “mini”. The black doesn’t look to “faux”. Sometimes you can tell when an item is not real leather from across the room. I like the pleating as it gives the skirt some movement. I can’t recall if this is lined. I don’t think it is. Overall, it’s a nice skirt and getting great reviews online.

I’m not in need of either of these but for some of you tall ladies, the skirt does come in Tall sizing.
Have a Great Day!

Those two pieces look great together. The marble print is just beautiful. I would have gotten it in the pencil skirt had it been offered in petite.
    thanks for the reviews!

This is a really great outfit for you. I was a bit perplexed about the material choice for the marble top as well. I just figured it would have too much static for autumn/winter, especially layered with a sweater. I don't know why they didn't make it out of cotton/silk, which they do really well (just like the vintage scarf print shirt). It's a great pattern though, but way too expensive for poly.
