I made a few wishlist purchases on Anthro Day last Saturday that I am so very happy with. Check them out below.

Draped Plaid Top, Medium, by Maeve ~

Maeve is one of my favorite brands at Anthropologie. I can always find something I love made by Maeve. This Draped Plaid Top is no exception. Yes, it’s Polyester but the blue and brown plaid were something I couldn’t take my eyes off of. I think it’s the perfect transition into Fall.
The back is where the drape is, off-center to the right. There is a little snap closure inside to keep the two pieces together.

Here is the drape un-snapped and pulled open by me. Since this is boxy the Medium was a perfect fit. There are times when I can size down in Maeve but I’ve realized that the shape and material make the difference in that decision.
I must confess that the styled image is what sold me on this shirt. I even bought the shoes, the Terah Heels, and almost bought the jeans so I’d have the right items to copy the look. I never do that. I do have several jeans to substitute but I just love this whole look.

Torres Dress, Petite Medium, Bailey 44 ~

The Torres Dress was sitting in my wishlist and I regret not purchasing it with my birthday discount. This dress was the first item in my cart on Anthro Day. I am so glad I ordered the Petite. The length would have been below the knee had I gotten the regular Medium. I love Bailey 44’s dresses. I have another that is fitted all the way to the hem. I like that the Torres Dress is a little more flared/A-line at the bottom. It makes for a nice work dress with a little cardigan or blazer over.

One of the ways I use my Stylebook App is by putting together a few outfits with a new item I’ve bought. It helps me decide if that item will be used more than once or if I need to return it. I did just that over the weekend with the Pleated Lattice Skirt in Distressed Quartz. I was able to style 5 different outfits to wear from Summer to Winter.

~ Summer ~
~ Chambray Short-Sleeve Top (Factory), Lillian Mirror Metallic Sandals in Silver ~

The first thing I wanted to do was make sure I had shoes to go with this skirt. I love the new Suede D’Orsay Flats in Grey but don’t want to really have to buy new shoes to go with the new skirt. I also didn’t want to pair anything too bright or harsh as the Distressed Quartz color is so very feminine. Either Silver or Gold would look nice with this skirt, and this outfit in general. The Chambray Shirt is great to wear button-up or even layered over a tank or tee. You could also use a long-sleeve Chambray Shirt and roll the sleeves.

~ Pre-Fall (September) ~
~ Vintage Denim Jacket in Recycled Indigo Wash (Factory), Silk Sleeveless Blouse in Heart DotFrye Anna Leather Oxford ~
I really liked this look when I styled it in the dressing room. I subbed out the solid black for the Heart Dot blouse. Roll the sleeves on the denim jacket and add some cool leather oxfords and you have a nice little football game outfit.

~ Early Fall (October) ~
The small pop of navy brings the all neutral outfit a little extra color. This would also look great with the Navy colorway. Any nude heel will do. These and the Kate Spade Kiki Wedges are my nudes right now.

~ Fall (November) ~

This was the other dressing room outfit I really loved. I have the Clare Cardigan in Cabernet. I could have paired this with the Factory Sylvia Wedges in Cabernet but I like the pop of Leopard with all of this.

~ Winter (December) ~
~ Cashmere Tee (Tippi), Printed Silk Two-Pocket Blouse, Printed Every T-Strap Heels ~

Add some matching tights and you are ready for work. My Winters are not very cold so I could get away with this minimal layering.

There you have it. The Pleated Lattice Skirt styled from Summer to Winter. The Navy would go with each outfit as well. The Hidden Floral print would work with well with 1, 3, and 4.

What else would you pair with this color of skirt?

I wanted to give you a little closer look at both of the shoes in my try-ons posts.

These, as well as the Suede D’Orsay Flats below, both run a half size big. You can see the gap at the heel in these. The calf-hair is luxurious and the heel height at 2 1/4 inches is super wearable for all day and into the night. Whoever adds these to their closet is a lucky gal.

More Dulci options for Fall…

Suede D’Orsay Flats, Size 6 1/2, Black ~

An even more manageable heel is a flat and the Suede D’Orsay is a lovely one. My store had all three colors and the Deep Violet is really bright and beautiful. These run a little big so go half a size down. I don’t need a black flat but the gray would fit nicely in my wardrobe.

Have you tried either of these? Any other new arrivals shoes caught your eye?

Mixed Media Sweater, Medium, Navy ~

This size ran a little big so I would get a Small, even if I was layering. The sweater part is Merino Wool while the back is cotton. Yes you could get a similar effect layering a striped oxford under a sweater but this is more fun. Especially when you can then layer another pattern or color underneath it. I’m a fan.

I love the print and colors on this blouse. The are a few colors you can mix this with including Mustard and Peach. Again, I sized down from my normal size 8.
Flared Surf Skirt, Size 8, Navy ~
This was a good fit though I’m not a fan of the neoprene material. It is a little better suited for Fall/Winter than blazing hot Summer. Pass for me but I know is doable for some of you.

Vote For Love Tee, Small ~

Another graphic drop-seam tee. I do like that if you roll the cuffs there is a contrasting lining.

The Silk Sleeveless Blouse in Heart Dot came home with me and I’ve wishlisted both colors of the Mixed Media Sweater. Have you tried this blouse yet?

Funnel Sweatshirt in Stripe, Small – I loved this sweatshirt jacket. It was so cozy and fit well. Now, to just get rid of all my hoodies for this little jacket. I do like the gray over the navy but maybe because I’m thinking I could layer the Navy Excursion Vest over it.
Toothpick Cone Denim Jeans in Parker Wash, Size 29 – I liked the wash and feel of these Toothpick Jeans but I need to size to a 30. I passed as I found another pair I loved more.

The Downtown Field Jacket, Medium, Black – I loved this color. I have the Factory Navy version but would definitely get the black too.
Suede D’Orsay Flats, Size 6 1/2, Black – This was the better size compared to the gray version. I’ll have a closer look at them on Shoes-day.

Sateen Toothpick Pant, Size 29, Dark Fatigue – The sateen on these feels more suede-like than sateen, and very comfortable. Again, I’d size to a 30 as I do all my retail Toothpick jeans. My store seemed to have sold through all the size 30s in various colors.

Mixed Media Sweater, Medium, Vintage Cabernet
Lookout High Rise Jean in Kirk Wash, Size 30 – I have been hoping for high-rise skinnies I loved for a while and am hugely satisfied with these. I will need to have these hemmed but that’s the only minus. The waistband sits just under my belly button. LOVE!

That wraps up all my fitting room outfits from the new Fall arrivals. What were your favorites?
Whoops! I have one more set on Sunday!
