I can always find something I like at Lucky Brand. The modern hippie in me loves their tunics and boho/peasant blouses. I still have one from 2004/2005 that is tie-dye and embroidered at the neckline and hem. I love their graphics tees as well, especially the Men’s. The fabric on both feels like you’ve had it for years.

I liked the look of this on the hanger but not so much when I put it on. The embroidery is pretty and in Navy but overall I think it’s the rope halter tie that is the issue.

~ Hipster Bear Tank, Small {tee, Men’s tee} ~

I loved this tank. The Small fits well and it’s comfortable. To not look so “biker chic” I would probably throw on a blazer with the sleeves rolled up. The Men’s Tee has a graphic on the inside as well, so you could wear it inside-out if you wanted. Alas, the Women’s Tee and Tank do not come with this feature.

Dazzling Embroidered Top, Medium ~

The embroidered detail on this lovely blue top was so pretty but I couldn’t figure out what else to wear this with other than jeans and shorts. It deserves to be dressed up a little, don’t you think?

White Grommet Shirt, Small ~

I really liked the detail of this shirt as well as the fit but it is quite sheer. I was already wearing a nude bra and would have to find a different nude shade to go under it so it didn’t show through; or wear a cami under.

Lace Stripe Top, Small ~

There was no Medium in the store to try and other than the arms, I liked the fit of this tunic. I’m not sure if the Medium would run a little more voluminous through the waist. The Large was huge everywhere.

Another great thing I love about Lucky Brand is that almost everything is machine-washable. Cotton, linen or silk materials are what you’ll usually find the clothing made of. They always have great leather jackets and bags too.

Have you been shopping at Lucky lately?

Just a few bottoms I tried on at Lucky. Their jeans never disappoint and I’ve even switched Husband over to them, and he’s very picky about what he wears.

Colored Eyelet Short, Size 29 ~

The bits of neon on these shorts drew me right to them and only one size left, in a 29. The fit is perfect and my normal bottom size of 29/8. Just a super-cute short but I’ve over-indulged in short purchases this Summer so it was a pass.

Dylan Boyfriend Jean, Size 28 ~

I size down to a 28/6 in Boyfriend Jeans. These were still a little loose through the waist and hips but sizing down one more would have been too tight. These also have a button-fly, not a zipper, which I normally love. A great jean overall, if you’re looking for a Boyfriend style.

These were a much better fit than the Dylan. The feel of the denim was soft and very comfortable. I will probably unroll and have these hemmed for ankle length.

Here are a few outfits from my Week 6 Capsule Remix. I loved the Photo Floral Tap Shorts and the Zara Blouse. I honestly cannot stop wanting to wear this blouse. It goes with everything!

Linen Top, Zara ~
~ Seville Espadrille, J Crew ~
This outfit looked good in my Stylebook App but these shorts are a hot mess. They are super-neon which is fine but the fit, though the exact shape as the Photo Floral in the above pictures, was off. I think it was the material. These were a very thin cotton compared to the ones above. They rode up and rolled up on the legs and at the waist. I was adjusting them every time I got up.

I made a few wishlist purchases on Anthro Day last Saturday that I am so very happy with. Check them out below.

Draped Plaid Top, Medium, by Maeve ~

Maeve is one of my favorite brands at Anthropologie. I can always find something I love made by Maeve. This Draped Plaid Top is no exception. Yes, it’s Polyester but the blue and brown plaid were something I couldn’t take my eyes off of. I think it’s the perfect transition into Fall.
The back is where the drape is, off-center to the right. There is a little snap closure inside to keep the two pieces together.

Here is the drape un-snapped and pulled open by me. Since this is boxy the Medium was a perfect fit. There are times when I can size down in Maeve but I’ve realized that the shape and material make the difference in that decision.
I must confess that the styled image is what sold me on this shirt. I even bought the shoes, the Terah Heels, and almost bought the jeans so I’d have the right items to copy the look. I never do that. I do have several jeans to substitute but I just love this whole look.

Torres Dress, Petite Medium, Bailey 44 ~

The Torres Dress was sitting in my wishlist and I regret not purchasing it with my birthday discount. This dress was the first item in my cart on Anthro Day. I am so glad I ordered the Petite. The length would have been below the knee had I gotten the regular Medium. I love Bailey 44’s dresses. I have another that is fitted all the way to the hem. I like that the Torres Dress is a little more flared/A-line at the bottom. It makes for a nice work dress with a little cardigan or blazer over.

One of the ways I use my Stylebook App is by putting together a few outfits with a new item I’ve bought. It helps me decide if that item will be used more than once or if I need to return it. I did just that over the weekend with the Pleated Lattice Skirt in Distressed Quartz. I was able to style 5 different outfits to wear from Summer to Winter.

~ Summer ~
~ Chambray Short-Sleeve Top (Factory), Lillian Mirror Metallic Sandals in Silver ~

The first thing I wanted to do was make sure I had shoes to go with this skirt. I love the new Suede D’Orsay Flats in Grey but don’t want to really have to buy new shoes to go with the new skirt. I also didn’t want to pair anything too bright or harsh as the Distressed Quartz color is so very feminine. Either Silver or Gold would look nice with this skirt, and this outfit in general. The Chambray Shirt is great to wear button-up or even layered over a tank or tee. You could also use a long-sleeve Chambray Shirt and roll the sleeves.

~ Pre-Fall (September) ~
~ Vintage Denim Jacket in Recycled Indigo Wash (Factory), Silk Sleeveless Blouse in Heart DotFrye Anna Leather Oxford ~
I really liked this look when I styled it in the dressing room. I subbed out the solid black for the Heart Dot blouse. Roll the sleeves on the denim jacket and add some cool leather oxfords and you have a nice little football game outfit.

~ Early Fall (October) ~
The small pop of navy brings the all neutral outfit a little extra color. This would also look great with the Navy colorway. Any nude heel will do. These and the Kate Spade Kiki Wedges are my nudes right now.

~ Fall (November) ~

This was the other dressing room outfit I really loved. I have the Clare Cardigan in Cabernet. I could have paired this with the Factory Sylvia Wedges in Cabernet but I like the pop of Leopard with all of this.

~ Winter (December) ~
~ Cashmere Tee (Tippi), Printed Silk Two-Pocket Blouse, Printed Every T-Strap Heels ~

Add some matching tights and you are ready for work. My Winters are not very cold so I could get away with this minimal layering.

There you have it. The Pleated Lattice Skirt styled from Summer to Winter. The Navy would go with each outfit as well. The Hidden Floral print would work with well with 1, 3, and 4.

What else would you pair with this color of skirt?
