As promised, here are a couple more outfits that never made it to the camera for a full length shot.

I wore this when we took a trip to Dallas with The Boy to visit one of the Universities he is considering.
Andie Chino in Navy, 8
Silk Secretary Blouse in Hummingbird Floral, 8 (ebay find!)
Classic Schoolboy Blazer in Navy, 8
Cece Ballet Flats in Navy, 7
Michael Kors Crossbody

Crinkle Boy Shirt in Blackwatch Plaid, 8 (on sale!)
Cashmere Tee in Pack Green, Medium
Andie Chinos in Navy, 8
Short Chalet Shearling Boots, 7

Le Bal d’Hiver Tee (old)
C. Wonder Stretch Skinny Blackwatch Jeans, 29
Darby Loafers in Calf-Hair Leopard, 7
This has been one of my favorite pairings and can’t wait to duplicate it once the weather is a little nicer. This would be super cute for our casual Christmas Eve or even New Year’s Eve during the day.

Have a Great Day!

In case you missed these on Instagram here are a few outfits I’ve been wearing but never fully photographed.

Embroidered Peasant Top, 8 Petite
Loft Distressed Boyfriend Jeans, 6/28
Converse Shoreline in Black, 7 – I have to give some mad love to these shoes. These are not your regular laced low-top Classic Converse. These have a little elastic in the back at the heel so you can slip them on. Or step on them and wear them as mules if you need to be quick out the door. Also, the laces are short and already tied in a knot so they won’t come un-done. If you’re tired of ballet flats and want some Sneaks GET THESE!!

I bought a White pair towards the end of the Summer and they were on my feet non-stop. Yes, they got dirty but were (and are) so easy to just throw in the wash to whiten them back up. Then I found out there was a Gray color and I searched high-and-low for them but never could find my size. So I settled on the Black color. That was until I received a F&F coupon to Converse and found out you can MAKE.YOUR.OWN! For only $70!!! My coupon was 30% off and usually those don’t apply to the Custom or Nike ID but it did this time. (Are you reading this S?) So now I have my Gray pair. I regret it now but did not add an ID to it. You can customize the entire shoe down to the interior lining (I added little black polka dots) and laces (gray instead of white). (Shout out to Ema too who loves her laced Converse. I know you were complaining about your laces.)

Here are they Gray ones I created along with a pair of The Boy’s many Nikes.

My Bundled Bella post was just the start of several days of bundling. Here are the other two days, one blue, one black.
Perfect Shirt in Navy Check, 8 (current one in Striped)
Tippi Sweater in Houndstooth, Medium
Cashmere Plaid Scarf in Blue/Gray Plaid
I was wearing my Matchstick Cords in Sea Salt which I wore again the next day. (Nobody saw me.)

Crinkle Boy Shirt in Black Check, 8
Merino Fair Isle Sweater in Black, Medium
Cashmere Double-Faced Plaid Scarf
Excursion Vest in Black (last year), Small

Yup, the Matchstick in Sea Salt and my Harper Leather Boots. The purse is Michael Kors I found at TJ Maxx. It’s small enough but big enough, YKWIM?

I have a few more Insta-Outfits coming soon.

Have a Great Day!

Today I have some sweaters from the Holiday roll-out. The Vintage Holiday Sweater is super cute and one I was able to pick up in-store before it showed up online. I have it paired with the Crinkle Boy Shirt in Red Plaid. I took a Medium in the sweater and a size 8 in the shirt, both my normal size.

Next is the Side-Button Sweater in Colorblock, size Medium, in Dark Poppy. I preferred the Gray (don’t see it online) but passed overall on this. I like that you can just throw this on and it has enough visual interest to not make you get bored with wearing it, like the elbow patch and the side buttons.

I tried the Merino Fair Isle Sweater in both colors and loved the way my VPS styled the black sweater. This color, Midnight Red, looked more like Purple Red to me. I have on a Medium.

My VPS paired the black colorway of the sweater with Crinkle Boy Shirt in Black Check. I loved this pairing so much I bought both and wore them both the next day.

Lastly, is the Merino Embroidered Lace Sweater, Medium, in Apricot Mist Black. I tried this on as a gift idea for MamaBella. I like the contrast of the pink and black better than the red/black or blue/black colors.

Have you tried any of these sweaters?

Husband and I are off to the West Coast soon, San Jose/San Francisco in fact, for a long weekend. Our last “grown-up getaway” was last September to put our toes in the sand in Mexico. I’m pretty excited as I’ve never been to California. Also, a change in scenery means a change in temps so I’ll be able to pack some items I’ve been waiting to wear for chillier weather.

For the Airport days, I’ll be relaxed, as I was for my Vegas trip at the beginning of the month.

1. Factory Clare Cardigan in Cabernet, Drapey Crepe Henley Tunic in Ivory, Cropped Matchstick Jeans, Cece Ballet Flats in Black
2. Drapey Crepe Henley Tunic in Black, Cropped Matchstick Jeans, Cece Flats

For the full days in San Jose and San Francisco, I’ve decided on a Black/Grey/Cream color story with a touch of Burgundy.
1. Drapey Crepe Henley Tunic in Ivory, Pixie Pants in Leather Tuxedo Stripe, Cece Flats

2. Merino Pocket Tunic in Garnet, Pixie Pants, Cece Flats

3. Silk Blythe Blouse in Polka Dot, Jackie Cardigan in Dark Charcoal (Old but Factory is offering this color.), Toothpick Jeans in Dolphin Grey, Cece Flats – I’ll also layer my Grey Lexington Blazer over this and carry a scarf if needed. The Toothpick Jeans in Dolphin Grey were a very unexpected love after trying them on in the store. I took my normal Toothpick Jean size of 30.

4. Factory Beaded Sweatshirt in Black, Toothpick Jeans, Cece Flats

5. Ruffle Collar Sweatshirt in Grey, Cropped Donegal Wool Pant, Cece Flats – I’ll add a necklace to jazz this outfit up for the evening and switch to the Janey Patent Flats in Black.

6. Tippi Sweater in Light Pewter (Last year’s version…This year has Heather Grey, which I love.), Medallion Tie-Silk Skirt, Janey Patent Flats – This is a back-up dinner outfit in case I feel like wearing a skirt.

Extras – Lexington Blazer, Michael Kors Jet Set Tote, Michael Kors iPhone Crossbody, Grande Crystal Drops Necklace, Burberry Scarf, Printed Airy Wool Scarf

I do plan to layer long-sleeve tees underneath the sweatshirts and use either the Lexington Blazer or Excursion Vest and a scarf every day. The cross-body will function as my daily bag and the Tote my travel bag.
As usual, I am taking a carry-on so I’ve made sure I can mix-and-match most items and can wear items twice. This also gives me a little room in my bag for bringing home any thing I pick up from shopping. I debated on bringing a heavier coat but Husband has assured me we will not be outside long at night. It would also mean I couldn’t pack it and would have to carry it over my arm on the plane. That would look a bit odd leaving the warmth of Texas. I can always make him buy me a new coat if I get too chilly or cold. 😉
Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram, where I’ll be posting my outfits. I hope to do an outfit round-up from both trips next week.
Have a Great Week!

Lately I’ve been in my standard summer uniform – jersey skirt, tee or tank and flip-flops. It’s comfortable and cool for these hot summer days, and nights. But I did leave the house twice during the week and left the uniform at home.

On Tuesday, The Boy and I had a mother-son dinner date to a restaurant he’s been dying to try. So I put on my Double-Serge Mini in Brilliant Blue, the Silk Indigo Floral Blouse and my new Sydney Patent Sandals in Casablanca Blue.
How perfect does all of this match! The blue in the blouse and the skirt are exact even though they are a few years apart. I have the skirt in this print as well and it is divine.
On Wednesday, I had to visit my local office for the day. The visit was very last minute so I was lucky I had this beautiful old-school-Crew Wild Daisy Dress in Husband’s closet as I didn’t have time to even run upstairs to find an outfit in mine. Alexis featured this in May on the JCA blog as a J Crew of Season’s Past post. I was lucky enough to find it on the JCA blog in a size 8. It’s a beautiful print and a perfect fit! I added my new Sydney Patent Sandals in Neon Azalea. I guess now I have to keep them. I appreciate all the suggestions on how to wear these bright shoes.

Have a Great Day!
