Whenever I walk into Forever 21 I really have to search for something that’s appropriate for me to wear and not seem too trendy/teeny-bopper-ish. It doesn’t help that the store can give anyone ADD just by walking in. But I was very surprised when I decided to shop at our indoor mall and came across the “NEW” Forever 21.

They took over an old Mervyn’s and is now two…uno, dos…two stories and 80,000 square feet. The old store was a single-story and 7,000 sq ft. It’s so organized and you can browse without bumping into anyone. There are different sections – 21Men, Heritage 1981, HTG81 (kids), Twelve by Twelve, Love 21. I love it!

Here are two outfits with Forever 21 pieces. The cardigan is the Wrap Up Cardigan in Navy.

Today I went to our Christmas Ladies Luncheon and wore another F21 piece (which I could never find online). It is the lace cami that is layered over the J Crew FS Posy Cami. I bought the Lace Cami about a month ago.

I received lots of compliments on the Lace Cami. It’s not cheap looking or feeling at all. I like the scalloped edging too. I think it would have looked better with a longer cardigan but I wanted to be a little festive and this was the only red sweater I have.

Here’s today’s outfit. I almost wore boots again but remembered I had these Frye Mary Jane’s. This is the first time I’ve worn the skirt even though I’ve had it for over a month.

Sorry I’ve been MIA. Sometimes the work-life balance leans a little too much to the work side. But I have been getting dressed so here are some outfits I wore recently.

Movie Night: Saw THE OTHER GUYS – The Boy was dying to see this and it was funny. I couldn’t get over Mark Wahlberg’s hair. It was a little too full. It bugged me. The theater we went to showed clips of “Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch” and old Will Ferrell SNL skits. The “Marky Mark” stuff was really funny to see. I told The Boy he was probably one of the first to wear his “pants on the ground” and was “The Situation” before “The Situation”.

So, you’ll notice a recurring item. I’ve been wearing these shoes every chance I get. Probably not the best choice when it’s 100 + degrees outside but I really like them.
Steve Madden Trouser in Grey Leather – They also come in Black, Brown and Navy Leather and Black Patent. The Grey is a nice neutral. They do come with laces but are comfortable without as well. I’ve been looking for a pair of oxfords-sans laces- for a while and found these at a reasonable price ($69.99). Once fall really hits I’m sure these will be my go-to shoe.

This weekend was perfectly gorgeous weather. I got my first soccer sun of the season (and year). My shoulders and chest turned a little red but are tanning nicely.

This what I wore to The Boy’s soccer game.

I wasn’t going to wear a belt at all with this dress. Then I saw the scarf that I was about to return to the store and the idea just hit me to make it a belt with this dress. I love it! The dress is super comfy and casual and I have it in navy as well (navy top and bottom).
(BTW-There is still A LOT of LoL at my area Targets. Every size and item. Not too many LoL lovers in Central Texas.)

OMG! I love these shoes! I saw these in the Beige Leather on Shopping the Closet in a post by Eleanor and knew I needed to get them. When I got to NW I saw the animal print and loved it and they were 25% off! Wheeee!
The shower went well considering the girls throwing it had never done one before. They didn’t realize that, as hostesses, they need to be serving and checking on the guests, NOT the other way around. I had my cousin finally set them straight and the bride was none the wiser. I bought her something from her Target registry but threw in a little J Crew jewelry as a little something just for her. Again, it was another beautiful day and I took my Pearl Jackie just in case but never needed it.
