Que Bella – Green & Gingham

Laundry Confession here – I bought this blouse last year. Loved it. Wore it twice and put it in the dirty clothes. When it came time to do laundry I accidentally put this in the wash too. The silk front shrunk while the polyester lining stayed the same. Ugh! I really liked that shirt. But…Yay! for popbacks! I was able to get this in the same size on sale and a percent off. I’ll be very careful on which laundry basket I put this in next time.

The texture of the pants is very subtle but I like how it does mix with the silk of the blouse.

Another laundry confession – That wasn’t the first time (or second) I ruined something that shouldn’t have been laundered. So, if you ever need anything shrunk just send it to me. I seem to have the skills for it.

Have a Great Day!

I am notorious for washing everything, even my silks, but do delicates by hand. My husband is part of the Audreybella club, he once felted one of my sweaters 🙂 He felt so bad that now he asks me piece by piece if things can go in the wash.

Awww. Husband won't even touch my clothes after seeing what I've done to them. I've also shrunk two wool sweaters, size medium, to XXS. Almost American Girl doll-size.

Anything that needs special care automatically gets zipped in one of those white, netting lingeri bags. It's saved me many a time.

    Yay for popbacks 🙂

I shrunk a cashmere sweater this year, putting it in the dryer for just a "few seconds" to freshen it up after laundering it. I then tore it by trying to stretch it out. I do sometimes purchase a size up in some items that I know will accidentally make it the dryer. My husband has been banned from doing laundry since my kids were toddlers/infants. He failed to check pockets which had crayons in them and it basically ruined the dryer, after of course, turning a load of whites into splotches of color. I don't think he minds not doing the laundry though!
