How sweet is my little Bella? She’s very camera shy. She always puts down her head when I point the camera at her. She even knows when I’m trying to take an iPad picture.

I’m on the fence about this dress. I waited and waited to see a review or for it to go on sale. It arrived yesterday and I’m not sure I like it. The fit seems a little off although the material is super soft and comfortable. What do you think? I’m wearing a size Small and would either have to wear a cami underneath or get it altered to raise it up at the shoulders, like I am showing now. This would make is more of an Empire waist as well.

Did I mention I had a 40th birthday party a few weeks ago to round out my “40 days of turning 40”? Here are some pics.

OMG!! Husband’s taking me to Cancun in September, with some good friends!
Sneaky sneaky.
And this video made me LOL! How many of you know about “La Chancla“?
Lastly, The Boy texted me late one night while at a friend’s and asked if I had heard of INSANITY. Of course, I told him. It’s for crazy people. He said he was doing it right then with some other friends and wanted to buy it. So being like all the other Mother’s out there who don’t spoil her children at some point, I bought it AND agreed to do it with him.
I honestly believe you have to be INSANE to do this. I just watched a video and started hurting everywhere. I’m prepping myself this week by doing Level 3 of the 30 Day Shred. I did convince The Boy today to start moving so he did it with me. We begin on Monday. My before pictures are horrendous so I have motivation. I’m so glad there are clothes and accessories to hide those imperfections we have.
Just a few random things going on in the AudreyBella house. I didn’t have the motivation to do individual posts for all of this so I took inspiration from FABULOUS Florida Mommy‘s blog posts, A Little This, A Little That.
Have a Great Evening!

I had a fabulous birthday this past Saturday and enjoyed celebrating it with some dear friends. For lunch, Husband, The Boy and I went to La Gloria in downtown San Antonio at the Pearl Brewery. It’s the third year in a row that we’ve gone and so now it’s a tradition. I love their yummy food and the beer is ice cold.

Husband didn’t like this outfit but only because he said I looked too dressy so I kept the shirt untucked to make it “more casual” in his eyes. I loved the colors and was happy to wear my little frog bracelet.

Gorgeous colors!
Later that evening, after a little nap, Husband and I met some friends at a little hotel lounge that was very Cuban and so cool. I had a Grapefruit Daquiri that was so yummy that I might have had two more. And this dress…WOW! Thanks Bailey 44 for making this dress and Anthropologie for selling it. I. LOVE. IT! I’m wearing my J Crew Arene’ Sandals that were quite comfortable all night.
At the end of the night, my friends sang “Happy Birthday”! I couldn’t have ended it better.
Have a Great Evening! Anthro Sale post tomorrow!

I really wanted to wear this skirt as soon as possible and didn’t want to wait for another go-into-the-office day (since I won’t have one for three weeks!!). So I decided to try my options to see which one I liked best for running errands on Friday. My goal was to keep things simple and let the skirt shine.

First, I paired the Porcelain Paisley Skirt with a J Crew Factory Favorite Fit Tank in Navy (similar here) and my trusty Stuart Weitzman Nude Wedges. For the hot day we had the tank was perfect.

Next, I added a J Crew Cotton Cardigan, from 08/09, in Navy (similar here). A nice pairing but I didn’t like the longer length covering the print of this skirt, at least for today.
I swapped the wedges for the Cece Suede Ballet Flats in Wild Berry, making the outfit a little more casual, with a pop of color.
I swapped the Navy cardigan with a Factory Jackie in White (similar here) and the Mona Heels in Wild Berry. I love the pop of pink.
Finally, I swapped the heels for the Chambray Soludos. I quite like this for a super casual look. It was the one I went with today and ended up not wearing the cardigan since it was so hot today.
So tell me…what do you think of these pairings? I must confess I was going to wear a red tank but it was too big on me so I had to go for a smaller one. How will you style this skirt?

Goodness…I should really try to keep up with my Que Bella’s. These were from last week. As I purge my closet, I am getting really happy with what I have and being quite selective on what new items I pick up…like this dress. I’m wearing a Size 8 which is slightly loose in the waist but a better fit in the chest. Any smaller and I would have had to return it. I love my Mini-Brompton in Straw but kind of wish I had bought the larger one now. Diva, in her Zaggfolio, is a little heavy so she comes alone sometimes. And these shoes, Stuart Weitzman, have gotten a lot of wear in the month or so that I’ve had them. They are one of the best neutral/natural colored shoes I’ve found. When I first saw them they had a pink undertone to them but when I put them on they blended quite nicely with my skin tone.

I wore this to dinner out last Friday. This is the Tulip Ruffle Cami paired with the Postage Stamp Mini in Confetti Tweed. Oh, how I have been wanting this skirt FOR-EVAH! I just couldn’t bring myself to pay full price for it. Then it went on sale in the store several weeks ago but was still FP online. This skirt lingered in the sale section in my store in sizes 0, 2, 4 and one size 10. I almost succombed to the 10 and asked for an opininon from the Store Manager and she said NO WAY. I need at least an 8 but probably the 6. Love that she was so honest with me. She then started looking for either size in other stores and found an 8 for me. Again, I’m wearing my versatile Stuart Weitzman’s.
See all the beautiful colors in this tweed! Anything could go with this skirt.
This was a weekend errand outfit. I am getting a lot of wear out of my Linen Cable Knit Sweaters. Yes, they are sheer but I don’t mind layering with my Limited Seamless Camis. I have almost every color and they are so comfortable. I’ve been wearing them for years. The shorts are from the Factory Store and normally I don’t go out and about in 3-inch shorts, even to the grocery store down the road, but I loved the outfit so much I took a chance. The main reason for this outfit was my Soludos for J Crew Spearmint Espadrilles. I knew I wanted to wear them but struggled for a few weeks on what to pair them with. Of course, start with something truly basic, like White and Denim.
Thursday, I head into the office again and will be wearing my new purchase, the Mint Mini Skirt. I will post pics sooner than a week later. Promise! Oh, and the other colors of that skirt at a Royal-ish Blue and Canvas/Beige. There are only 3 skirts left in the mint at my store and my PS was surprised they were not online yet. Also, I saw the Mint Jardin Maxi Skirt and LOVE IT! I completely missed it last week and I think I only love it because it’s Mint colored. I prefer my mini over the Maxi (and Husband just told me a few days ago he doesn’t like the Maxi’s on me! Huh? NOW he has an opinion on my outfits).  Any-who…the maxi is a little too full for me but I would certainly consider that color on sale and MIW!
So, what have you been wearing?

I am quite enjoying our beautiful weather here in Central Texas. It looks like a lot of you have been experiencing milder temps for Winter. But now it’s Spring!, which came really fast. I can’t believe April is less than two weeks away. Staying busy with work has made the time fly by. And now I have something to really look forward to.

We booked our trip to Europe!!! Whee!! I’m so excited but Husband is making me be very PRACTICAL about what I pack. That word isn’t even in my vocabulary and now I have to figure out how to do that very thing with packing. I’ll worry about that later. Besides…that’s what Polyvore is for.

I was so excited to finally wear the Gimlet Skirt in Coaster Stripe and my new Tippi Sweater in Succulent Green. I am a sucker for beautiful shades of green. Both have been sitting in my closet for a while but they were both pieces I knew I would enjoy wearing. I added my new Stuart Weitzman wedges that are the most perfect shade of Nude. You can hardly tell I”m wearing shoes. They are comfortable and I lasted all day wearing them at the office without any issues. The Gimlet Skirt is something I so want to bring to Europe with me but won’t be able to because it’s not practical. Blegh…bad taste in my mouth for that word even when typing it.

Next up is the Crepe Myrtle Shirtdress by Sarah Ball from Anthropologie. I tried it on here and instantly fell in love with it. I added the sunny colored Featherweight Cotton Cardigan and Anthropologie’s Dearie Me Wedges. I was un-prepared for the height of these shoes. I did last all day long at the office but will need to make some adjustments with the strap so it’s a little tighter on me. This dress would be another great Europe item but won’t be travelling with me this time.

Lastly, my outfit from today. This is the Old Navy Wrap Dress in the black print. You’ve seen me in the green print dress here. I added an old Banana Republic lace cami and brought out my Lanvin Espadrille Wedges. This wrap dress is a great item and is now on sale for $10 in-store! Grab it if you can. I also have it in solid black and red.

Have a Great Evening!
