Here are a few OOTDs from last week. This first outfit I loved! I’ve had this belt for years and love it. It can be reversed so the multi-buckles are at the back. The skirt was so comfortable to wear and the weather was nice enough to be cozy but not too warm. Unfortunately, this skirt had a big issue. After I took it off, I noticed the seam where the waistband meets the skirt had come unraveled. There was at least a 5 inch hole in the skirt! The seam was stitched with the same merino wool it’s made out of and apparently any slight tugging or pulling on it made it come undone. I had to return it. If any of you have this skirt just be aware of the stitching. I don’t need anything falling apart for $128. And it’s too bad because I was eyeing the black skirt as well.

One of my favorite shirts from J Crew. I have it in the Almond color as well. It runs big so I was able to size to a small in this. The purple is gorgeous IRL. And of course, my Cece Ballet Flats don’t know what they’ve gotten themselves into. They will be my work-horse flats for most of the Fall and Winter. I’m glad I have multiples!

I wore this to a wedding shower on Saturday. The Bride-to-Be was gorgeous in a Shoshanna dress. My fashionable NYC prima wore the Nanette Lepore Cafe Sheath Dress (see on Chloe here) (LOVE!!!) for her engagement pictures. The Blouson Dress is a favorite dress style of mine. I have the lace in both colors as well as the stripe in black. The Royal Paisley does not disappoint. I was excited to see I have so many cardigan and sweater options for it, including this Jackie in Buttercup…perfect match!

No OOTDs so far for this week. Husband has been home ruining my daily groove but I’ll give him a pass. He’s been sick for 7!!! weeks and now has shingles. Poor hubby. Luckily I’ve had chicken pox and The Boy has been vaccinated for them. But there is no kissing going on ’round here right now. I’m too busy to be sick. Can you believe Thanksgiving is next week? I’m busy every weekend starting now but I love this time of year.

Have a Great evening! I’ll be back with more reviews this week from that crazy 25% off sale. I am certainly shopped out. Luckily I’m not into all the Black Friday shopping. I go, but only to be my mom’s chauffeur. I can do a curb-side drop-off and then find a parking spot in BFE and not have anyone complain about how far they have to walk. I also run packages back to the car so our hands are not full of bags. And now that I’m old enough and have my “own” money, I can go eat anytime I want. My brother and I would starve for hours begging to go eat while she was in a zone shopping. Of course, I’m exaggerating…only slightly. Those marathon shopping trips my mom took us on is probably why I like to shop alone. Fun times.

Here are a few OOTDs from this week.

Monday – Valentine’s Day – Honestly, Husband and I decided long ago to not celebrate. It’s nice to receive flowers and cards and chocolate but I’d rather have them on a day where he doesn’t seem like he’s forced to do it. Just make it random. Of course, that didn’t stop me from buying a card and for he and The Boy, along with making a nice dinner and having some wine.

Blouse/Corset: Polynya Corset Top in Black Anthropologie
Cardigan: J Crew Factory Store in Dark Peony (I think – DPE)
Skirt: JC Ripple Stripe Pencil Skirt in Black (6)
Shoes: JC Penelope in Black

Tuesday – Shopping with Husband for his Vegas trip. We had some beautiful, 75 degree weather that day.

Blouse: J Crew Silk Sequin Scoopneck – Size Small (look for popbacks)
Jeans: JC Ankle Stretch Toothpick in Cherish Wash – Size 30
Shoes: Prada Leopard Flats

Wednesday in the office – Such a gorgeous dress and it feels great on. It makes me feel great! I was looking for a cardigan to go over it and thought of a lime green or mint color. But then I walked into J Crew and saw the Warm Buttercup Jackie was a PERFECT PERFECT match!

Dress: Take Action by Girls from Savoy Anthropologie – Size 6
Cardigan: J Crew Jackie in Warm Buttercup – Size M
Shoes: J Crew Joley in Twig (I think)

See what I mean!

Have a great evening!

Sadly, I was unable to make it to my store’s Luxe event due to work, work, work. I was able to head over on Saturday afternoon to check out the new arrivals from this week and take some pics.

Tees
All-Spice Tee – Size S, #31249, Color IVO, $34.50 (not online)
I’ve started trying the size smalls in J Crew tees instead of the Mediums. I’ve found each material type give me a different fit. I think this is the Ringspun and it’s a little tight. The slub cotton tee below it a looser fit in the same size.

Eiffel Tower Tee – Size S, #30847, Color PEA, $36.50 (not online)
I believe this is a slub cotton. I saw the Eiffel tower on it out of the corner of my eye and knew immediately I was buying this.
See it on Ema.

Marled Boyfriend V-Neck Tee – Size S, Color-Heather Pewter, $72
The small was a little tight in the arms for me but fit loose in the chest and waist so I don’t think I’d take a Medium. It was very comfortable but overall, not for me.

Dresses
Ikat Bustier Dress – Size 8
I tried this on for fun. The size 8 was too big in the bust but fit well in the waistband. The size 6 would have been too tight in the waistband. It’s a very pretty dress and has pockets and an exposed back zipper. My SA suggested putting the shirt underneath since I really don’t do strapless. It doesn’t look too bad.
See it on DrDrama – she looks hawt!

Drea Dress – Size S
I’m calling this the Drea Tunic, meant to be worn OVER skinny pants, like the Minnies. Cinching it a little tighter at the waist and raising it was not a pretty picture, so you won’t see it. 🙂

Sweaters & Outerwear
Marled Shawl-Collar Cardigan – Size S, $128
This is a really nice cardigan and it has two exposed zippers at the pockets. I just can’t justify buying it when I may only wear it two or three times. It also comes in Marled Saddle, which looks like a tan color.

Arrow Sweater-Jacket – Size M, $138, Color HEL-Heather Elm
I randomly picked this because I thought it looked cute. Not for me but cute none-the-less. I would have to cuff the sleeves as they were took long but a bit too boxy for me. It also comes in Black, Heather Caramel, Heather Carbon and Heather Grey.

Utility Jacket with Removable Faux Fur Collar – Size 8, Color SGR, $378 (not online)
This has an inner tie to cinch the waist and the collar is removable. The size 8 fit big through the body but well in the shoulders for me. The size 6 might have been a little tight in the shoulders.

Donegal Tweed School-boy Blazer – Size 6, Color ALU-Aluminum, also comes in Moss, $198
The fit of the 6 was great for me through the arms and shoulders but could be a little more fitted through the waist. I have too many blazers I rarely get to wear but would certainly love this one!

Skirts
Sequined Jersey Bloomer – Size 6, $98
HAHAHAHAHA!
Tried on with Buffalo Check Boy Shirt – Size 6, $69.50, Color RDU-Rose Dust

Crinkled Silk Tempest Skirt – Size 8, $138, Color-Rust
This was sitting at my waist and was a little tight. No elastic waistband (finally!) to help out. Too short for me and a Size 10 would have added bulk/width, not length. There is something interesting about the print and color that I like. (2nd pic below is with flash.)

Sequin Pencil Skirt – Size 6, $138, Color-BSH, Brown Sheen
worn with Bayberry Flouncett Blouse – Size 6, $98, Color-DPL, Dark Plum
I like the pencil skirt but the sequins get stuck together so you have to CARFULLY separate them. The color is gorgeous. I couldn’t get a decent shot with flash, though. The blouse is pretty and goes well with the skirt (and another below) but makes the outfit a little too stuffy for me. I think the skirt with the Denim Perfect Shirt and the blouse, un-tucked, with the Minnies or rolled up jeans would be better.

Wool Flannel Fallyn Skirt – Size 6, $98, Color DRO, Dusty Rose
This skirt is very lightweight which surprised me. This size was a teensy bit tight for me but the length was perfect (21″). If I bought this I’d wear Spanx under or size up to an 8. (2nd pic is with flash.)

Felted Wool Mini – Size 6, $88, Color DCY, Dark Cypress
This is a very pretty green and would love if there were a little more length in the skirt. I think even with the shape and cut it would still look great a little longer in length. (2nd pic is with flash.)

Shirts
Fountain Cami – Size 6, $98, Color MST, Metallic Stone
Meh…I’m not so into this. It’s a pretty top but I don’t care for how the ruffles are placed and it’s boxy. I think there was a side zip.

Khloe Jacquard Cami – Size 6, $88, Color BST, Blush Stone
This is very pretty but I would like to see the Cobblestone color IRL. Again a little boxy but would look great under a blazer.

Silk and Sequin Scoopneck Tee – Size S, $148, Color OMO, Olive Moss
This runs big (I sized down to a Small) but this is a pretty color.

Faded Paisley Flouncette Blouse – Size 6, $98, Color WAS, White Ash

Gingham Perfect Shirt – Size 6, $78, Color SHY, #29862
I wanted this shirt but I have the larger gingham shirt in the same purple from the summer.
See it on AppGal.

Vintage Bateau Top – Size S, $42.50, Color NAVy
I like the fit of the small much better than the medium (below in red-orange). I bought this and when I looked in my closet I realized I had the Perfect Fit Stripe Boatneck in Navy/White. So I’ll return and get the Red-Orange.

Vintage Bateau Top – Size M, $42.50, Color ROR, Red-Orange

Finally. I’ve been working on this post since Saturday!
