After trying on the Scalloped Leather Skater Skirt at my Anthro’s Holiday Event I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Then, it went on sale, but I still waited on ordering. Then 25% off was thrown in and I finally pulled the trigger on this skirt. I ordered the 10 Petite as there was never a size 8 available.

I think the 10P was the right call on the size. It brings the length to just above my knee and makes it not so mini. The color is so pretty and nothing I’ve seen. The scallop detail at the waist and hem make the leather seem less harsh, IYKWIM.
I just wasn’t sure I wanted to keep it or not as $180 was still a lot for a skirt I might only wear once or twice a year. Then it received a 3rd cut to $99.99 so I called for a PA and will be trying to figure out ways to wear this skirt. I have a cute little top coming soon that I think will be great with it. I will post the two together if it looks like the image in my head.

And just a quick little styling option.

I also ordered the Brushstroke Blossoms Skirt. I really liked the dress but was thinking it would be more of a party dress. I can wear this skirt to places other than a party. I ordered both an 8P and a 10P and chose the 10P. It fit better in the waist and the length was just a little longer.

The waist has tulle wrapped around it. Just adorable.

I definitely see this as a cute Valentine’s Day option. I’m so glad I ordered it. And I was able to get a PA on this when a 3rd cut took it to $39.99.

I usually am not very lucky with PAs so I was glad it was on two items I wanted to keep. I really can’t wait to try styling the leather skirt. Any ideas you want to give me on that?

Last Thursday Catalina and I headed to Anthropologie for their Holiday Event. They had some treats, champagne and Holiday outfits pulled together for any events we might be attending.

Catalina and I both tried on the Bedford Pullover. She in the Violet in a Medium and I in the Dark Green in Small. She wanted to size down and I to size up. The sweater is very soft Angora but we also felt it was pretty itchy and shed like crazy so it was a pass for both of us. I loved the saturated colors in both the sweaters though.

I also tried on the Snowrose Skirt in a Medium. I absolutely loved the skirt but it was too long for me. The colors are not a vibrant as online but the little details of the print, like the ship in the background, were a nice touch. Cata tried it on as well and fit her much better in length than me.

I loved the Cabled Cowl Pullover on Cata. She has on a Medium but felt she could go down to a Small in this sweater. This seems so cozy for Christmas Eve by the fire.

I loved the Sparkled Frond Peplum Blouse but there was not a Medium for me to try so I have on a Small. I definitely need a Medium as I couldn’t even zip this up the back. The Flounced Ponte Pencil Skirt by Girls from Savoy hugged my curves in a wonderful way. The size Medium was a perfect fit though I was very happy Cata was in the dressing room for a little zipper help.

I wish I had tried on the Brushstroke Blossoms Dress before my Holiday party last week. This Peter Som dress is perfect for the Holiday parties and even New Year’s Eve. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a size 8 for me to try on so this is a 6. Again, I couldn’t zip it up the back and didn’t try for fear of getting stuck in it.

I have had my eye on the Scalloped Leather Skater Skirt ever since it showed up online. The green is divine and the scallops at the hem are a perfect little detail. Again, sizing was an issue as this was a return and the only one in store. I have on a size 6 and the Rennes Sweater in Bronze was hiding the un-zipped top portion of the skirt. The sweater, Small, was very comfortable and cozy. I have wishlisted this skirt in both the 10 and the 10 Petite. If it makes it to sale I’ll make my decision then.

The event was fun but most of the sizes for the items Cata and I tried on were sold out. That just means we picked the popular Holiday items.
Have you picked up any of these for any festive events?
