I headed in to Anthropologie last Saturday when they had 15% off for Mother’s Day. I hadn’t been in a while so everything looked fresh and new to me. I spotted the Moineau Bouquet Tee by Vannessa Virginia but in a size 6 then a 12. I grabbed the 6 even though the arms looked pretty small. Sure enough, when I tried on the blouse, it was tight. Luckily, another lady in the fitting room had a size 8 she wasn’t going to buy and I found that to fit a little better. I loved it in the store but after seeing it in a few pics I don’t think I’ll keep it. It is very sheer but you can’t tell as I have on a nude cami underneath. I love the embroidery on top but the swing/a-line on the bottom makes me look larger than I am. I think the online model image has it pinned in the back to give it a little more structure.

I spotted the Reverie Pendant Necklace on a mannequin at the front of the store and immediately liked it. I love the long length though it is a bit delicate. One of the pendants had the larger stone missing from the middle.

Two Christmas’s ago I put the Molly Hatch Peony Portrait Cake Platter on my wishlist, and received it. Then last year during the 15% off during Mother’s Day Saturday, I purchased the Peony Portrait Platter and Serving Bowl.
I would love to see different sized serving bowls or even mixing bowls in the Peony Portrait, though the paint may scratch or fade on the inside.

My birthday discount is in June so I have a few more picks I’m waiting to try.

What has caught your eye at Anthropologie? Did you shop the 15% off on Mother’s Day Saturday?

Shoes-day #2!

The J Crew Factory Isabelle Printed Bow Pumps sold out pretty quickly upon arrival to the website but is now back in full stock, though Final Sale.

I ordered my normal size 7 and they are a perfect fit. I think these will work nicely into my Capsule Remixes, especially during Black and White week.
They have a man-made sole and lining but the lining is padded very well. These are definitely a keeper.
Have a Great Evening!

I was doing some last minute Prom purchases (dark socks, t-shirt, small card wallet, etc) and headed to Nordstrom Rack for those little things. I grabbed them first and then headed over to the Shoe section. There are always lots of new lovelies to check out.

I first spotted the Coach Juanita Flip-Flops {pin} which are very casual and super comfortable. They have extra padding in the heel and ball of the foot. I get Coach shoes here and there but showing off the “Signature” always seemed weird to me. This time it’s very subtle compared to an all-over print on a loafer or flat. They were $40 and seemed like a good price for something I’ll wear around the house or slip on last minute to run to the grocery store. They’ll get lots of use this Summer and hopefully beyond if they are as comfortable as they look for long periods of time.

I saw a few Tory Burch shoes I liked but not any in my size 7. That is, until I was leaving the store and saw a separate display of just TB shoes. There, I found the Alexa Flat Sandal. I had my eye on them last Summer but was never able to purchase them. There was not a size 7 available so I tried a 6 1/2 to see if I needed to size up or not. I ended up sizing to a 7 1/2 and probably should have gotten the 8. The strap is really short and I could only buckle it on the last hole. I may need to punch one more in for them to be a little more comfortable. I read a review on the Saks website that spoke of the short strap so this shoe wasn’t an exception.
Last year they were offered in a tan/brown as well as the Navy. Nordstrom Rack only had the Navy available for purchase. They just buckle and are not uncomfortable or tight but I’m hoping the strap stretches just a bit.

My store had lots of Winter Clearance available but I find that very frustrating to sort through even though there are some great deals to be had. Plus it was a Saturday so the store was a little crazy.

Have a Great Day!

I was finally able to find my fit in the Seville Wedge Espadrille last year when J Crew started making these in half sizes, taking a 6 1/2. I bought them in Navy and and Chambray and wore them both quite a bit last year and already a few times this year. The new colors added this year are Citrus Lime and Vintage Surplus. I think the Sandstone may have been called Flax last year.

I had to get the Citrus Lime. The bright yellow was just calling out to me. That my store actually had this color was a sign they were meant to be added to my closet. Add the GOSHOP promo and home they came with me.

These are going to really stand out this Summer. I can’t wait to wear them but first I will treat them. Gigi uses Vectra Spray and I finally decided to give it a try. It  works well on repelling stains and liquid and you can use it on leather, satin, silk, etc.

Do you own the Seville Wedge Espadrilles? Do you like the new colors this year?

I really do like this Cove Floral print. It has just the right hint of neon. So, it’s no surprise I’m a fan of the Sleeveless Drapey Top in Cove Floral. I like the flow of this top. It’s a great throw-on-and-go blouse. I think I’m wearing a 6 in this and the fit was great. No pulling across the chest and the length was good.

The Embroidered Tunic in Chambray looks very familiar. I don’t know if J Crew has done this one before or if I’ve seen similar at Lucky Brand. I really wanted this tunic but even in the size 6 the front is cute very very low. I’d have to wear a cami underneath it. Long-sleeves in Summer is enough to wear without having to add a layer under it. This comes in White as well.

The Embroidered Floral Racer Top was a big surprise Like for me. I have on a size 6 in the Neon Citrus. I think I would get this in Black. The print is similar to a Kate Spade top I liked – Tulip Printed Silk Top {pin}.

I am so sad about the Striped Gauze Tunic. The flowiness is too much for me. I tried on a size Small but wouldn’t be able to size down due to the arms having a button closure. It was already snug in the Small. I will have to try the Boy Shirt in Stripe Gauze as the material is light an airy; perfect for Summer

So, I’ve already griped about all the seersucker for Spring that has come out but I have to make an exception for the Sleeveless Drapey Top in Photo Floral. I like the shape of the Sleeveless Drapey tops and I think the print mixed with the seersucker works. It would be nice to have seen the front print in the Green, like the Tap Short

I bought both the White and Navy in the Side-Slit Tunic. I chose the Small for a better fit and the Pima Cotton is very soft and comfortable. I will be sure to wear a t-shirt bra with this for smooth lines.

What have been some of your favorite tops from this roll-out?
