If you haven’t noticed, I don’t wear a lot of jewelry. I buy it but I don’t wear it. I always take it off at the last minute. That’s why I am really liking the Ruffled Rhinestone Top in White. It has built-in bling. I don’t know why the Tilda didn’t appeal to me like this top did. Maybe because there is more “bling” down the placket? I grabbed this top a few weeks ago while it was on promo and there was a 30% off. But with the crazy pricing games it’s now back to full price. That was the same with these Mid-Rise Toothpick Jeans in Carbon. They were on promo and there was a % off. I was able to get them for net $66. That was before the Jeans promo. I found these Louboutin Simple 70 Pumps on ebay in a color I’ve been coveting forever – a deep Cranberry. Love my Loubies!

This top also dresses up a blazer, like the Schoolboy Blazer in English Tweed.  I originally tried it on in a size 8 but I knew it wasn’t the right size. When I was making a return last week I tried it on in a size 10. Way much better fit through the shoulders and arms. I have realized it depends on the material that the blazers are made of to determine my size in them. The Linen Schoolboy I have is a size 8 and fits about the same as this blazer.

I really wish it would cool off so I could wear this outfit. It looks so good!

Have a Great Monday!

When I woke up Wednesday morning I was prepared for a bad hair day. I wanted a bad hair day because I wanted to wear the J Crew Colorblock Wool Baseball Cap. It was going to cover up my uncooperative hair and match my outfit. Then I was going to walk into my salon like the men do with a baseball cap on to cover up how bad it looked. But I had no such luck. I brushed out my hair and it was flowy and thick and wasn’t doing it’s own thing.

I can’t wait to layer this Silk Gingham Top under my Navy Schoolboy Blazer. And can I just tell you how much I love these Citizens of Humanity Dylan Boyfriend Jeans? I bought them originally in a size 29. Then went back for a PA and tried on the size 28. They fit better so I bought those too. $89.95 for $238 jeans…I’ll take two please.

I bought this Fan Necklace during one of my trips to the Factory Store this Summer. First time to wear it though. I wish I had grabbed the other colors.

And I love my new ‘do! My Stylist is awesome and easy on the eyes too! I wish he could style my hair every day. Going to the salon is one of my favorite things to do every 8 weeks.

What’s your “Bad Hair Day” go-to?

When I went back to try on the Pixie Pants in Leather Tuxedo Stripe I also re-tried on the Andie Chino’s. I asked for a size 8 & 10. I originally tried on the 8 but thought they were too tight. The 10s were way too big so I asked for more opinions from my VPS and favorite SA and settled on the size 8. It was the right choice as they do stretch some throughout the day.

The temps dropped to the high 80s Monday and I’ve been patiently waiting to wear Fall-ish clothes. So, I rolled my Andie’s, added a tee from Zara and my Cons and pretended it was kind of Fall.

I loved the feel of the Andie’s so much I wore them again this week, this time with the Silk and Sequin Scoopneck Tee and Cece’s.

Here’s Gus again…sniffing these pants to see why I like them so much that I wore them twice in one week.

And…Bella’s jealous ’cause that’s how she is. Spoiled girl.

Yep, this is as Fall as I am going to get right now.

Husband always feels under-dressed when we have Date Night. I’ve explained to him that it’s the only time I can wear my nice clothes that are not work or daily wear appropriate. Like the Swoop Top, which I have in Punk Floral and the Solid Navy & Solid Burnished Brown. It’s a very lovely blouse but the tiny threads in the back ripped as soon as I put it on. It’s still too warm for cardigans on Date Night and the back opening is too low and exposed for a bra so I tried one of those adhesive backless bras.  Worked like a charm! It also felt nice not having straps digging in and under-wire poking you. I felt very comfortable.

I paired the Swoop Top in Navy with Fluted Skirt in Ivory. I added my Louboutin Puglia Espadrilles in Snakeskin. I originally finished off my look with the Classic Pave’ Link Bracelet and Necklace and my Kate Spade Queen of the Nile Camel Clutch but ditched the jewels when our original plans fell through and it was just dinner and drinks.

We had a wonderful meal at a Mexican Restaurant, La Fonda, that had a beautiful, enclosed outdoor patio. And the space was big enough for a party! I need to start looking for and reserving a space for The Boy’s Graduation Party in June. We have so many High Schools here, everything books up early.

We ended the evening at Bar Du Mon Ami and I had my favorite, the Hemingway Daquiri. I like mine tart not sweet but certainly not Double Rum like Hemingway supposedly preferred.

It was nice to be able to wear the Swoop Top. Especially now that I have the proper backless bra.

Have a Great Day!

Last Saturday, I attended a family wedding. I specifically picked the Scalloped Dress to wear. I originally reviewed it here and loved it this time around as opposed to the Spring. I added my Etta Printed Cap Toe and my Pave’ Link Bracelet and Necklace.

Me and my Baby Brother
This was the first time I wore my Etta’s and had not planned on standing for 2 hours straight. That put a little more strain on my feet than I had anticipated and they were off as soon as I got in the car. I was good in them, standing, walking around and sitting, for about 3 1/2 hours so I think they will handle an 8 hour work day since I don’t stand all day.
I love my new little LBD but I do have to be careful not to bend over. It’s a bit short, or so Husband tells me. Yikes!
Do you have a favorite LBD?
