I just couldn’t pass up the Nike Pegasus ’83 Sneakers in Mortar when I saw them in-store. Normally I am grabbing them for The Boy but it was my turn this time to grab a pair. My foot has grown to a size 7 but I am still a 6 1/2 in Nike brand footwear.

These are very comfortable and I love the white-gray with the blue. There’s also a Mica Green Orange and I saw another style in-store in Red. I have seen these at other shoe stores like DSW, Nordstroms, Finish Line, etc. so check their stock as well.

Here are a few other choices.

Have a Great Day!

I went on a little bit of a T-Shirt binge recently, especially at J Crew.

The Drapey Tee in Venice Beach runs big. You can see the Medium on me is very large and ill-fitting. I didn’t have time to try it on and it felt so soft in my hands I tore the tags off to wear it before seeing if it really fit. I’m hoping my Laundry skills will shrink this a little. Also, the wording is askewed IRL, as opposed to online. Definitely size down in this. At the time, I was able to get this with a 25% off Tees promo.

I originally tried on the Drapey Tee in Beach Heart a few weeks ago and loved it. I snagged this with the promo too. This isn’t as drapey as the Venice tee above, even in the Small.

The Vintage Cotton Stripe-Sleeve Tee in Scoopneck was in the sale section so I grabbed it in a Medium. Fits well on top but a little on the long side.

I have no sense sometimes and the Paneled Sweatshirt in Navy Floral is a good example of that. We are in the 90s now and I foresee 100s by July. Why I bought a Sweatshirt, even if it is short-sleeved is beyond me. I had too much Crewlade. But I do love it. It was styled with White Jeans (still searching) which I loved! I grabbed a Small to be more fitted, like the Anchor one from last Summer. I was able to wear that one during my trip to NYC. This one will be in the closet for months.

I love my Metallic V-Neck Sweater so much I had to get the Sparkle Cardigan too. But there wasn’t a Small so I grabbed the Medium. It’s just big all-over, including the sleeves. I’m hoping I can find a Small and do an exchange, even though it was Final Sale.

I couldn’t resist the Sicilia Scarf. Anything Italian and I want it. Though we didn’t make it to the front side of the boot I hope to head back one day. This thing is huge so I think it will be nice and cozy in the Fall and Winter.

The Cleo Fabric Loafers in Turquoise Orange were a pair that I was not expecting to find, or buy. But Net-a-Porter had them on sale a few weeks ago and I was able to find my size. With free shipping and free returns I always love shopping on Net-a-Porter.

The multi-color satin shantung makes them wearable with pretty much anything. The trim is blue suede.

The Sophia Webster’s are gorgeous in the same fabric but I know I’ll wear the Loafers more. Though I miss the Darby’s I do find the Cleo Loafers run TTS.

I wonder if we will see this print, maybe in Cotton, for a Factory option next year. It’s always hard to guess which shoe options or patters will make it to the Factory each season.

Here are a few more plaid shoe options. The Sesto Meucci’s are really cute. I may have to go find those. The TOM’s are a nice neutral Madra.

Happy Shoes-day!

Still on the hunt for some new white denim, I tried on the Stretch Reid Crop Jean in Chalk in a size 29. These were unfortunately not a good fit. They were a little bunchy in the front but tight in the thighs. They are to the floor and not cropped for me and a little see-through. The only place they fit was in the waist. So, I’m still searching for White Denim. I’ll keep posting any that I try on, especially if they were suggestions from my post.

The Andie Chino in Dusty Quartz is a nice peachy pink color. This color is not something I gravitate to, especially on bottom. These are a bit see-through for my darker skin tone but fit in my normal size 8. They are a great color for Spring and Summer.

The Swiss-Dot Pom-Pom Skirt in Dusty Pomegranate will be perfect for Fall. The color just screams Fall to me. I am wearing a size 6 which was perfect on me.

My VPS gave me the Embroidered Tassel Top in Arrow Print to try on with the Andie Chino’s. I wasn’t a fan. The fit was fine though I don’t recall the size, probably a 6. This seems too young or juvenile for me. I thought it might be the tassels so I tucked them away but I just think it’s the style overall. I did look cute with the Andie Chino in Dusty Quartz.

The one item I have loved since it came out is the Boy Shirt in Stripe Gauze. I tried the Stripe Gauze Tunic and it was very big on me, even in the Small. The Boy Shirt, in a size 8, is a much better fit and style for me. I took this one home.
I have a few Dresses coming up later.
Have a Great Day!

I was able to stop by J Crew to try on a few new arrivals. I am under-whelmed with the latest Summer arrivals, as I was expecting a few more cute skirts and dresses. Right now, I’ve just been gravitating towards the tees, which I definitely don’t need any more of. First up are the graphic items I tried on.

I was surprised to see The Crab Top in my store. I knew just by looking at it I would need a size 8. It’s very boxy and the arms are cut small. There’s a keyhole with a single button in the back. The shirt is Poly and feels a little thick. I really like the color and print of the crab and hope that something similar, preferably in a tee, comes to the Factory next year. I have pics from all angles below.

I loved the Linen Embroidered Crab Sweater on the hanger but I didn’t notice the drop-shoulder until I tried it on. So disappointed by that. I am wearing a Small. I wouldn’t size to my normal Medium in this as it is supposed to drape and swing. The Linen is woven a little thicker and not see through like some of the tees and other sweaters from previous years. I think we’ll see this crab as an Intarsia Charley sweater at the Factory next year.

The Linen Surfboard Sweater is the same as the Embroidered Crab Sweater as far as the drape/swing/drop-shoulders are concerned. The surfboards are not embroidered but Intarsia knit. The linen is also see-through on this one. The surfboards are cute and the sweater pairs well with the Swiss-Dot Pom-Pom Skirt in Dusty Pomegranate. I’m wearing a Medium in this and you can see the it’s bunchy at the waist and a little big through the chest. I’d size down to a Small in this.

I am wearing a Small in the Linen Pocket Tee in Surfboard. I loved it though wish that the tee was a different color, like Navy or even the teal on the surfboard. Probably another one we will see at the Factory next year, in Cotton. Loved it though.

The Drapey Tee in Beach Heart was my favorite. I love the graphic on it. I can’t remember what size I’m wearing but from the looks of it, I have on a Medium. I ended up passing on it though as I haven’t seen a tee sell out at full-price yet, so it should make it to sale. And, you know this will end up at the Factory. The colors will be a little muted but it will still be cute.

I liked the Hugo Guinness Masterpiece Tee because it was in black. I took a Medium in case I happen to shrink it. It’s a cute tee and not too see-through like the Ivory ones.

Crabs, Surfboards, Waves, Beaches, Palm Trees – I’m sensing J Crew wants us to be one with the ocean, if we can’t be near it.

Have a Great Day!
