I was in my office for a couple of days this past week and didn’t feel like getting too dressed up. I knew I wanted to be casual but put together without wearing a dress or skirt so I decided on jeans for both days.

I love the Draped Plaid Top though, as I mentioned in the review, there is a little snap button on the inside in the back holding the drape together. Well, if you stretch or move your arms too far away from your body that snap will un-snap. It happened several times throughout the day. Though, the drape does not open enough to expose skin or bra I felt a little uncomfortable knowing my shirt was unbuttoned, at least until the 4th or 5th time it un-snapped. Then I was over it and left it alone. I still love the blouse but should have road-tested it at home before wearing it to work.

The belt is from J Crew and is Navy! You don’t know you need a navy colored belt until you see it. Originally I thought it was black, until I looked at the tag. I knew I’d wear it a lot so I bought it at FP. And these Pilcro Stet Slim Ankle jeans are amazing. The wash for Fall is Stardust and I will definitely be getting a pair.

I wasn’t able to get a full shot of my next outfit by this is the Stylebook Look. The Linen Perfect Shirt is from last year, in Brilliant Blue. I thought the Cleo Loafers were perfect to finish this casual look.

The Cleo Fabric Loafers in Turquoise Orange were a pair that I was not expecting to find, or buy. But Net-a-Porter had them on sale a few weeks ago and I was able to find my size. With free shipping and free returns I always love shopping on Net-a-Porter.

The multi-color satin shantung makes them wearable with pretty much anything. The trim is blue suede.

The Sophia Webster’s are gorgeous in the same fabric but I know I’ll wear the Loafers more. Though I miss the Darby’s I do find the Cleo Loafers run TTS.

I wonder if we will see this print, maybe in Cotton, for a Factory option next year. It’s always hard to guess which shoe options or patters will make it to the Factory each season.

Here are a few more plaid shoe options. The Sesto Meucci’s are really cute. I may have to go find those. The TOM’s are a nice neutral Madra.

Happy Shoes-day!

During a visit to J Crew last week I saw some new shoes arrivals. The first is the Emma Studded-Toe Fabric Ballet Flats. I slipped on the Emma’s once before and wasn’t fond of the fit. I tried on my normal size 7 and toe box was tighter and the elastic ruching bothered me. I am disappointed the Cece Ballet Flat has been discontinued and the Emma is the new Ballet Flat. Luckily, I have the Cece’s in the colors I want. The extensive ruching is the main reason I don’t have any of the Tory Burch Reva’s.

The Cleo Fabric Loafers are nice in Navy Ivory although I like the Turquoise Orange Plaid a lot better. They look a lot more fun and I have the Addie Printed Loafer from the Factory that will substitute well for these.

What J Crew shoes have caught your eye this Spring?
