Anthropologie has their August arrivals online. During the “sneak peek” I added a bunch of items to my Anthro wishlist as well as my “Bella Wants Anthro” Pinterest Board. There are so many pretties during this roll-out.

I would say I am good on jeans but the Pilcro Stet Cropped Flare Jeans are some I just need to try. It didn’t help that I had a gift card still to use. The Pilcro Stet Jeans are some of my favorite pair so I have no doubt these will become my new favorite pair. I tried the Maeve Tesni Swing Tank on in the store over the weekend in the Blue Motif, which has lipsticks all over it. The size 6 was a great fit on me. Not too tight across the chest or digging at the armpits.

As much as I loved a lot of the dresses, I have enough “party” in my closet. But, I did order the Bailey 44 Maren Midi Dress. I don’t own a trench coat or really even need one but I absolutely love the Eva Franco Ferryside Linen Trench in Raspberry.

What are you loving from the new Anthropologie August roll-out?

I love that my birthday is right around a Holiday. All the sales keep my head spinning. Add to that the birthday gift cards burning a hole in my wallet, ready to be used.

I have said gift card to Anthropologie and love a lot from the July new arrivals, along with a few Tag Sale items. That makes it really hard to choose what I want, that I will wear more than once. I think I’ve narrowed down my choices though.

Both the Sorin Halter Tank by Deletta and the Valley Green Tank by Moth fit in nicely with my Summer clothing needs. They both have colors that work with the shorts I already have. I do hope the green in the Valley Green Tank is as saturated as it looks online. And how darling is the Frenchie Dress by Essentiel Antwerp? But maybe a little too darling and kitschy for my style.

A little review of the Kirsi Dress by Kavita Bhartia. MamaBella bought it on a whim when she was here last week. It was a return and the only one in the store. The dress was a Large and though I think it fit her just ok, she was satisfied enough with the fit to buy it. I recommended to her to have it taken up at the shoulders about a half inch to fit a little better on her. I think she would have done better with a Medium or Medium Petite meaning I would size to a Small in this dress. The embroidery is what makes this dress. I originally thought it was from something by Johnny Was or something she found in a boutique somewhere that someone had handmade. It is gorgeous.

I’ve seen the Jeffrey Campbell Taggart Booties on someone at Madewell before and just loved them. The Neutral color are probably the strongest contender for a purchase right now.

Finally, here is my last set of Anthropologie reviews. Just in time as I’m sure July items are coming soon!

~ Lilka Embroidered Allete Jumpsuit, Small ~

You can count on me to try on the jumpsuits and rompers. You never know when you just might like one. One thing I’ve noticed in most of the rompers and jumpsuits I’ve tried is the opening to get into it is not very big. The J Crew Jumpsuit I have has a zipper but this one just has a small button at the back of the neck. It was a little bit of a wiggle to get this on. Once I did, I think it fit fine. There’s a cinch tie at the waist and the embroidery ensures you don’t have to figure out what type of jewelry to add to it.

The length seems to hit me just where it does on the model.

This next romper has no button or zipper to help with the ease of stepping into it. The fit is a little snug as well, riding up in the front and back. Because of both of these issues I would get a Medium in this. That size would help with the drape at the torso, since there’s a cinch belt.

Personally, I am not a fan of the criss-cross open back.

~ Elevenses Button-Line Shorts, size 10 ~

There was no size 8 to try on but I really liked the fit through the hips of the size 10. They did feel a little saggy in front and back so I don’t know if the size 8 would really work. I think it might pull across the hips. The buttons are workable but really for show since there is a side-zip on the shorts. That’s really good because trying to mess with all those buttons would be a hassle.

There’s also a cute little tie at the side of the shorts.

~ Maeve Swirled Snail Skirt, Small ~

This skirt is so cute. The waist is elastic which helped me fit into a Small instead of my normal Medium. I can usually tell by the cut and style of a item made by Maeve what my size is for that brand. I think this would be a really fun skirt for the office in the Summer. It has pockets and doesn’t flare out too much from the pleating.

I’m curious. Have you joined this Summer’s trend and bought a romper or jumpsuit?

I have one or two more posts from my Anthropologie try-ons. Several items I’ve reviewed are now on sale.

~ Level 99 Chambray Wide-Leg Pants, size 29 ~
~ HD in Paris Cabana Peplum Tank, Green, Large ~

I originally thought that a Large in the Cabana Peplum Tank would fit a little better than the Medium, which was very body-hugging but I was completely wrong. The large just hangs on me and is very loose everywhere. I would definitely stick with the Medium in this top, so I will confirm it is true-to-size. I like the green but the red is my preference.

These Chambray Wide-Leg Pants are so comfortable. I am wearing a size 29 and the fit is perfect. I think they will stretch just a little so I would not size up to a 30. The length is way too long for me, even to hem it. That would mess with the flow of the leg. The Petite, probably Petite 30, will be the better size for me. It will still need to be hemmed, I’m sure but the flow of the pant down the leg will look nicer. Sadly, all of the Petite sizes are sold through. I guess there is just too much fabric on the regular size.

Here are the sale items I’ve reviewed.
Embroidered Lace Tee
Shadow Pane Tank, Cornflower Tiered Top, Printset Tee
Mitered Stripe Peplum Top

The Cityscape Peplum Top was hiding from me, folded in half on a table near some dresses. I almost missed it but my PS was looking out for me and made sure I added it to my fitting room. I love the print, very artsy. The material is a cotton-blend. The Medium was a great fit with just enough wiggle room.

The peplum isn’t too “peppy” and flared out. The length does seem a little on the longer side though, as it hits below my hips.

I need a pair of pants to try on with some of the tops I grabbed and found the Hammer Pants Cropped Tulip Trousers. When I first put these on all I heard in my head was “Can’t Touch This”. Luckily the fitting room was too small to Hammer-dance in. The size 8 was perfect. These really are cropped on me and I loved the drape of the tulip-style.

When you walk you’ll show a hint of leg. If I was shopping for a trip I would absolutely get these. They would be great for a night out.

I did buy the Cityscape Peplum Top and have already worn it, a great sign that I made a good purchase. It really pops against white bottoms.

Today is the last day for Anthropologie’s 20% off Shirts and Shorts promo. I have reviews here, herehere and here of the various tops I’ve tried on.
