This image below inspired my next outfit. I loved the simplicity of it.
The Cashmere Tee in short-sleeves was perfect for the cool evening. I have these in many colors, in both short and long-sleeves. I have the basic colors – black, navy, grey, white – and then a few saturated colors in dark green, red, and bright pink. I wear my basic colors a lot in the Winter, usually layering them over button-downs or under a blazer. Add a necklace, though I didn’t here, and I’m ready to go for the day or night.

I swapped out the printed jeans for my white jeans. I have never worn white jeans or skirts in the Fall or Winter. I’ve worn Ivory or Winter White but not a true White. I would like to try to incorporate these into my Fall wardrobe, if not the Winter too, but I’ll only wear these when the weather is nice.

We went to a restaurant we frequent weekly and sit at the bar so I didn’t want to over-accessorize. I could have used a belt at a minimum though. The bartender made a pumpkin spice shot that didn’t look like it was going to be tasty when he was making it but turned out to be really really good. I was pleasantly surprised.

Can you believe it’s November? My calendar is filling up quickly so I hope to have several Que Bella’s for you this month.

What are you thoughts on wearing true white bottoms during the Fall and Winter? Do you stick to the “No white after Labor Day” fashion rule?

One of the hazards of working from home is that no one sees me all day. I could stay in my pajamas all day (done that), wear workout gear all day (done that), or a tee and pair of shorts, not giving any thought to how I looked. Lately, I’ve been trying to not phone-it-in and actually put on what’s in my closet. This process is also helping me determine what can stay and what needs to go. The closet purge never stops.

I’ve only worn the Butterfly Blouse once as it runs a little small. I ordered my normal size 8 but the arms are tight and there’s a touch of pulling across the chest. I still love it and the green is saturated and beautiful.

I was able to order another pair of my Tory Burch Cropped Skinny Jeans when they went on sale. I’m so glad to have a back-up pair. I brought the cost-per-wear of my other pair down to about $7.
My Sophie Embroidered Loafers were comfortable all day. I will definitely get plenty of use out of them this Fall.

Since tomorrow is Halloween, I’m off to Michael’s. I’m just now tossing some costumes ideas around to wear while handing out candy.

WooHoo! Today is Haircut Day! I have been so busy I’ve had to cancel and reschedule my appointment three times. I’m committed to today though. My hair has stayed pretty healthy but gotten really thick. It’s been almost 12 weeks since my last cut. I missed the window to get highlights so I’ll have to wait until Fall for that.

This is one of my favorite outfits I’ve ever put together. This time I changed out the shorts for jeans and sandals for wedges. I don’t know if it’s the colors or the blouse and blazer or what but I could wear a version of this every day. That’s another reason for this Capsule Remix; finding my true style and what I really love to wear. Right now, these jeans, wedges and blazer are at the top of the list.

Wow! I haven’t done a Que Bella post since {Henny Penny} so here is a sampling of what I’ve been wearing. There have been a lot of days where I am just wearing lounge clothing due to the cold weather. So so sick of it and will welcome 100 degrees and hot sun any day!

Valentine’s Day was the perfect opportunity to wear my red Tory Burch Alexa Cropped Denim. I paired it with my Marc x Marc Jacobs Flirty Zebra Tee, a gift from by friend Catalina. I added the Jackie Cardigan in White and my black Cece Flats.

I love the Cleo Silk Tunic and have already worn it twice since purchasing it. The print, the feel of the dress, the length are just perfect. And, I can pig out and no one will notice. Wearing with my Lanvin Wedge Espadrilles.

I found the Banana Republic Sloan Windowpane Pants on sale in January but in a size 6. I tried them on, just-in-case, and woo hoo! they fit. I paired it with a Merino Pocket Tunic and the Factory Sylvia/Martina Wedges.

My last day in the office was pretty nice outside and I was able to wear my new Boden Great White Shirt with a Jackie Cardigan in Navy. I paired my Everly T-Straps with my Tory Burch Cropped Skinny Jeans.

This last outfit I absolutely loved! I felt very comfortable in it and it felt very me. Not necessarily the ruffles but the cool shirt with a cardigan, skinny jeans and heels. Now if I can just recreate that look with other items in my closet. Classic, simple, with awesome shoes!

Have a Great Day!

I only went in to my local Tory Burch Boutique for a specific shirt and left some great items for Spring and Summer.

I was just browsing and the SA suggested I try the Alexa Cropped Skinny Jean in Acai Red. I’ve tried some Tory jeans before and they were an awful fit on me. I think they were a Super Skinny. Because of that experience I asked for 2 sizes up from my JC Matchstick Jeans. Turns out I needed my Matchstick size of 29. You can see they are not cropped on me but I will either roll them up once or may even have them altered. They are a very nice, saturated Red and the material is not as thin as the JC colored Toothpick jeans from years prior. I’ve tried those on before and they were see through and showed everything. These will be great to wear for Valentine’s Day tomorrow.

I was drawn to the Merrit Print Blouse because of the Peter Pan collar. It just adds a nice little touch to the jersey print. I tried on a Medium and that was the best fit.

I didn’t notice until I took these pictures that the collar comes off!! Two shirts in one!

Another suggestion from the SA was the London Blouse. This is made of a Silk Jersey and feels amazingly comfortable on. I could have walked out in this shirt. Whatever vacation we go on this year, this shirt is definitely coming with me. I took my normal size Medium.
I have on a Medium in the Lidia Polo in Ocean Mist. It fits TTS and reminds me of the old JC Victoria Ruffle Tee. The color is a Periwinkle Blue and very pretty in person.
The Augusta Top was one of the reasons I went to the store. I really wanted to try it on. I grabbed a Medium but the arms were really tight. A Large would have made it bigger through the body and the boatneck saggier so I passed on it. This is made of Ponte knit so I would only get a few times of wear out of it before putting it away for the Summer. This also comes in a dress and the SA stated she sized up in that as well.
The Whitney Tunic is a relaxed fit and runs a size big. I have on a Small. I really liked this Tunic but it didn’t come home with me. Though it’s Cotton, the detailed embroidery and fringe at the hem of the sleeves and bottom make this Dry Clean only. It feels great on and would be easy to throw on over a pair of shorts of skinnies.

I know the price point for Tory Burch is not for some of you but I knew I wanted to find a few pieces that would last me longer than 3 or 4 washes that were easy to throw on. There are some cute tees that I have my eye on as well as the Lidia Polo in Stripe. See more of my picks below.
Have a Great Day!
