I only went in to my local Tory Burch Boutique for a specific shirt and left some great items for Spring and Summer.

I was just browsing and the SA suggested I try the Alexa Cropped Skinny Jean in Acai Red. I’ve tried some Tory jeans before and they were an awful fit on me. I think they were a Super Skinny. Because of that experience I asked for 2 sizes up from my JC Matchstick Jeans. Turns out I needed my Matchstick size of 29. You can see they are not cropped on me but I will either roll them up once or may even have them altered. They are a very nice, saturated Red and the material is not as thin as the JC colored Toothpick jeans from years prior. I’ve tried those on before and they were see through and showed everything. These will be great to wear for Valentine’s Day tomorrow.

I was drawn to the Merrit Print Blouse because of the Peter Pan collar. It just adds a nice little touch to the jersey print. I tried on a Medium and that was the best fit.

I didn’t notice until I took these pictures that the collar comes off!! Two shirts in one!

Another suggestion from the SA was the London Blouse. This is made of a Silk Jersey and feels amazingly comfortable on. I could have walked out in this shirt. Whatever vacation we go on this year, this shirt is definitely coming with me. I took my normal size Medium.
I have on a Medium in the Lidia Polo in Ocean Mist. It fits TTS and reminds me of the old JC Victoria Ruffle Tee. The color is a Periwinkle Blue and very pretty in person.
The Augusta Top was one of the reasons I went to the store. I really wanted to try it on. I grabbed a Medium but the arms were really tight. A Large would have made it bigger through the body and the boatneck saggier so I passed on it. This is made of Ponte knit so I would only get a few times of wear out of it before putting it away for the Summer. This also comes in a dress and the SA stated she sized up in that as well.
The Whitney Tunic is a relaxed fit and runs a size big. I have on a Small. I really liked this Tunic but it didn’t come home with me. Though it’s Cotton, the detailed embroidery and fringe at the hem of the sleeves and bottom make this Dry Clean only. It feels great on and would be easy to throw on over a pair of shorts of skinnies.

I know the price point for Tory Burch is not for some of you but I knew I wanted to find a few pieces that would last me longer than 3 or 4 washes that were easy to throw on. There are some cute tees that I have my eye on as well as the Lidia Polo in Stripe. See more of my picks below.
Have a Great Day!

After reviewing the Collection Blakely Printed Pump in a size 7, I ordered the Blakely Shimmer Linen Pump in a 6 1/2 to compare.  I really wanted to make sure sizing down a half size would work for me in this shoe.

The 6 1/2 is the right size for this pump. I am consistently a size 7 in JC shoes, and most others, but this felt much better on. My heel didn’t slip and I didn’t walk out of the shoe either.

This has some metallic threading to make the linen shimmer. It’s a great shoe, especially for Spring and Summer. If you have a wedding or two, these would be a great neutral to pair with any dress or outfit.

Though very pretty, these are not for me. I rarely wear closed-toe pumps in the Summer and opt for sandals or espadrilles instead.
Again, size down a half size for these. I have a little wider foot and these were not tight through the toe-box. The toe-cleavage is also very minimal.
Have a Great Day! Stay warm!

It looks like everyone took advantage of the 50% off Majesty Peacoat last week as it is now sold out. I have never needed more than one “Winter” Coat and the Italian Blazecoat has buttons that are hard to manage with cold fingers so I grabbed the Peacoat in Navy in a size 8.

The sleeves are about an inch-and-a-half too long so I will try to get to my tailor and have that fixed. I love the Cranberry lining. The size 8 fit well if just a touch snug under the arms. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to layer a sweater underneath but I’ve worn this a couple of times already (thanks Groundhog) with sweaters and haven’t been uncomfortable.

This coat is very warm. I had to go out of town for a party and it was really cold when I left so I kept my coat on. Not even 15 minutes into my drive I had to pull over and take it off. Normally I keep my Blazecoat on the entire time I’m out, even in my truck with the heater on.

I’m am certainly glad I joined the Majesty band-wagon. The Navy is the perfect color to go with almost everything casual I have.

I won’t even ask if you bought this but instead, what color did you buy?

I ordered my normal 30 in the Midrise Skinny Jean in Distressed Indigo and they are a big in the waist and have a saggy bottom. I was lucky enough to find them in-store in a 29 and those fit much much better. I guess the denim has just a little more give.

The size 30 in the Midrise Skinny in Huron Wash, fit TTS.

I had returned the Skinny Jean in Black as the fit was just a little big and there were none in the store to exchange. When I exchanged the Distressed Indigo pair, I found a pair of retail Matchstick Jeans in Black in the Sale section for $29.99 plus 60% off. Yep, I bought a pair of retail jeans for $12.
I took my normal size 7 of the Factory version of the Darby Loafer, the Addie Printed Loafers

The bottom have a little felt-like material to help with traction.

The Split Neck Dress in Windowpane has been tempting me for a few weeks now. My store never received it or the solid version as I might have ordered it sooner.

I ordered the size 8, my normal dress size, and it’s a great fit. I thought the split neck might show a lot of cleavage but not-so-much actually. It’s a wool/silk blend, lined in Poly and has bra keeps. Zipper is up the back and you can step in to the dress, which I always love, instead of throwing it over your head. The print seem to do a great job of concealing that little tummy pooch.

And lovely pockets! They don’t bulk out so they don’t add weight to the hips.

A big winner for me! Now to stalk for pop-backs in the solid Navy or Dark Pink.
