Another stop on my alone day was Anthropologie. I am more of a Spring/Summer Anthro shopper so it was nice to see some new items for those seasons in the store.

The Lacepane Blouse, by Leifsdottir, in Coral is a very Neon Coral. I liked the color but I know some of the online reviews were a little upset as it was not true to the online color. I chose a size 8, my normal in Leifsdottir and it fit well to a little big through the waist. This is a pull-over style that does not have any buttons or a zipper. I had a little bit of an issue taking it off as there was no give. A side-zip would have been a big help. I think this will linger until sale, maybe even 2nd cuts because of that issue.

The Serein Blouse by Leifsdottir states “online only” but my store had this. I grabbed a size 8 in this and it fits in the shoulders and arms so sizing to a 6 would not work in this blouse. It would run tight in that area. The chest and waist is flowy but the material is very see-through. I like flowy but want it a little more tailored than this.

Just a big ol’ mess in the back and still see-through too.

I grabbed a Small in the Savant Swing Dress and though it fit, again, in the upper-body and arms it was still too wide and big through the body. You can see it’s pretty short as well. It was very comfortable on and probably a dress I would wear all day and then to bed! I’ve added the Black Motif to my wishlist, hoping I’ll catch it on sale.

There’s an elbow patch which makes my upper arm look huge and then super skinny past my elbow. Weird.

This is the Grey colorway, in the same size Small. It look so much bigger than the Striped Black version above.

The Insieme Vegan Leather Dress looked interesting enough on the hanger to take to the fitting room. I think I grabbed a Small but it could have been a Medium. I’ll double-check and update I loved the flow of the dress and whatever size this was is the best fit. Despite not having a need for this dress I added it to my Wishlist.

I took an 8 in the Marin Dress and though that was the right size the denim zippered pockets make this a hot mess for me. I think they should have been the same stripes going the opposite direction and no zippers. The material is sturdy, but it does have an exposed zipper down the back. The side insets gave the illusion of a waist but the whole dress is just meh for me.

 go away already

I am usually a size 6 in Maeve clothing so that’s what I’m wearing in the Canna Shift. Though it looks like it fits well the chest is snug. I need to try an 8 to fix that issue and then see if the armholes don’t dip lower. I love this scarf print and the blue floral is just as pretty. The red is a very cute mod-style dress with the pattern  line just at the hips giving an illusion of a drop waist.

The Cleo Silk Tunic was the main reason I went into the store. I grabbed a Small based on the online reviews stating the shoulders had a lot of room to give. That was the right call. I love the print and this feel so comfortable on. Perfect length, it skims the hips and the shoulders and arms are fit great. I bought this dress and wore it within a few days, which almost never happens. I would love to find more like this. It was easy to throw on and will be nice during the warmer Spring temps with sandals.

I am usually a Spring/Summer Anthro shopper and there are some beautiful dresses I’m really liking. What has caught your eye at Anthro lately?

This Shoes-Day I have another Tory Burch sandal…the Nori Wedge Sandal in Vintage Vachette. I ordered my normal size 7. I love the Laser-Cut look and she has several different selections to choose from.

The heel is 4 1/2 inches but the platform helps with the height. There is a buckle to adjust how snug you want it.

The color is perfect for my skin tone, almost an exact nude.

The scallops do not dig into my skin. One of my outake pics had one of the scallops folded under and I couldn’t feel it. I am sure, though, that at the end of the day, I will have my very own scallops indented in my skin for a few hours.

Just absolutely adorable. I wear nothing but sandals all summer and always have one or two pair of go-to sandals. These are definitely going to be in that rotation.
Have a Great Day!

About every 6 weeks or so I find myself without Husband and The Boy for the day and evening. Some of those days I’ll just relax and stay home and enjoy doing nothing. Other days I’ll go shopping, spending more time in a store taking IRL pics than I normally would. These days are always unexpected and sometimes I don’t know until that day that I’ll be all by myself.

This past Saturday was one of those days so I ventured to the Outlet Mall to check out the new arrivals at the J Crew Factory and a few other stores, including Kate Spade. Most of the store was 50% off, including clothes and shoes and the rest was 40%.

I found the Grove Court Lainey in a beautiful Aqua color. It reminds me of the J Crew Biennial Tricolore Medium Satchel without the middle zipper. I like that the middle is open and the two side-zip areas can keep your wallet secure.

There is plenty of storage and not only does the middle section have two side pocket but so does one of the zipper sections.

I’ve been needing a new travel case and this one was 40% off $95. It’s similar to the current Carlisle Street Large Marit. It comes with a separate case that fits inside. Perfect for make-up, make-up brushes or those liquid items that might leak.

This Martini Gia is made for the Factory as the retail version was patent faux leather and this is canvas. It was 50% making it $24.50.

You should know by now that I’m obsessed with the coin purses that come out and I was able to find the Champagne Bottle Coin Purse and the Cat Mask Coin Purse. Both were 50% off. The Champagne Bottle was the only one left in the store. I have the Sunglasses and the Owl as well.

I’ve also needed a new card holder for a while and this one is perfect. I use a wallet daily but switch to something like this for travel or going out. Again, it was also 50% off and came in a few colors such as Ivory and Hot Pink.

The Bubbles theme was one of my favorites of December. I have the phone case and my iPad wallpaper is also the same print. I found this Lacey wallet, again 50% off, and love that the coin section is multi-pocketed as well.

This little pouch is perfect for receipts. I already have a gold one and will be gifting this to a family member.

Lastly, the jewelry was buy more save more. I found a Rose Gold Hand in Hand Idiom Bangle that will go with my Pop Fizz Clink bangle. The Boys Make Passes Idiom Bangle is pairs well with my Goreski Glasses Bracelet.

Hope you enjoyed seeing my Factory Finds!

I took advantage of the 30% off Valentine’s Day special to order a few things from the J Crew Factory. The shipping was expedited as well.

I ordered the Scalloped Lace Tee in Grey Mist in a size 8. It also comes in Soft Mint and Apricot Mist. I like the fit in the 8 just fine. I recall I took a 6 in the retail version a year or so ago. I chose the Grey as I don’t have anything tops in this color. The Mint looks pretty as well.

I took a Medium in the Classic Button-Down in Gingham and it runs a little big. The sleeves are too long and it runs big through the body. I like the Gingham but I’m not sure I’ll wear it very much so I will return this.

The Pique’ Polo was a great deal at $17. I grabbed the Verte Green and White. The Cerulean Sea looks like a really pretty blue as well. This is a Medium. I have the Mint and Navy from last year and they have held up well. These are great to just throw on with any bottoms. Much more polished than grabbing a tee.

I ordered a few Clare Cardigans as they came to $21. I originally just wanted the Champagne but I figured I’d grab a few more colors to see them IRL and decide if they would be able be incorporated in my closet. With the crazy weather we’ve been having I think I may need cardigans a little more this year than in the past. I have the White already but felt I needed a back-up.

I am also waiting on the Short-Sleeve V-Neck Cardigans that are offered each year. Those are great to have handy as well. I wasn’t able to capture the Fresh Guava very well. The Champagne looks a little like the Jackie in Beechwood that I have (from a few years ago).
I always try to wait for an additional promo where the Factory is concerned. Prices jump around so often I always use Gigi’s Guide to Factory Prices. Now to decide which of the Clare’s I’ll keep.
Have a Great Day!

With help from my girlfriend Catalina, and a few other ladies, we threw our friend a Baby Shower last Saturday. I have never been around so much pink! The baby’s room is going to be pink, gray and green with elephants and giraffes so we followed the same idea, excluding the green and the giraffe.

The biggest, and probably only project was a tulle table skirt. I saw an image on Pinterest of it and found a super easy tutorial on how to make it. I ended up making this for two different tables and I was surrounded by pink tulle at the end.

The Gift Table was set by the bay window and had some wonderful natural light streaming in. It made for some beautiful pictures. I added paper flowers on the corners and paper lanterns hanging above.

The Cake Table was the second tulle skirt table and held the cake and other treats.

The cake if from a local shop and the topper is from Etsy. The seller made it and shipped it well wrapped. This cute little elephant sweetie is made from fondant and just adorable. The stand is my aunt’s and is used for all family events where there is cake, from weddings, to baby showers to graduation and birthday parties.
Another idea from Pinterest were these yummy filled strawberries, recipe here. I chose to hollow out the strawberries instead of cutting an “x” into them as it was easier to fill. I made a few extra so we could all sample them before the guests arrived. I added Graham Cracker Crumbs instead of Chocolate Shavings. Catalina ordered personalized M&Ms.

I found some super adorable invitations and other templates with baby elephants on them from Etsy. The banner was hung at the fireplace.

I also found some baby games that weren’t the standard “How big is Mommy?” or the “My Water Broke” or even the gift-opening “Bingo” game.

The dining room table held a bouquet of flowers and the guests take home gift of hand sanitizers in various pink flavors.

We served a Tortellini pasta salad, Chicken Avocado Salad with fresh baked croissants from a local bakery, and a fruit salad my family has at every party. We had cute elephant water bottle labels for the water and Strawberry Lemonade and Mimosas were served as well. There was such a small group I used glass dinner and salad plates I found for a steal at Tuesday Morning.

Everyone had a great time and lots of gifts were received. The men had a “Diaper” Poker party so they received plenty of diapers that should last them a few weeks. You can see more Shower ideas on my Pinterest board.
