Whoops, I goofed. It looks like my scheduler published this post before I added my pics. Sorry about that. Here is the full review.

I have been lusting over Metallic shoes for quite some time. I really wanted the Martina in Silver Metallic but keep missing them when a promo arrives. I decided to try the Lillian Mirror Metallic Low Wedges in Metallic Silver. I have the Collection Lillian in Calf-Hair from last Summer in my normal size 7 but that’s a little big on me. This time I ordered a 6 1/2.

The size is perfect. I always feel like my foot is going to slip out when wearing my Leopard ones.

Though a skinny wedge, it is low enough to walk in them all day without discomfort. The ankle straps are adjustable and don’t cut into the skin at all. There is a little gap between my heel and the heel of the shoe but I think that should be expected.

I love the Silver Metallic. They will be perfect for Spring and definitely Summer. I already outfits create around these sandals, one of which includes the Factory Scalloped Shift Dress in Pale Citrus. They even look cute with rolled-cuff boyfriend jeans.
I ordered these with the 25% off Cardmember promo. It would have been nice to get them on sale but since I have plans to wear these many times over the Summer I know my CPW will come down quickly in the next 6 months.
Happy Shoes-day!

It never hurts to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day for an extra bit of luck. Today I’m wearing the Tippi Sweater in Kelly Green, J Crew Factory Midrise Toothpick Jeans and J Crew Cece Ballet Flats. The blazer is a knit blazer I received for Christmas a few years ago and is Cynthia Rowley (JCF and Old Navy, Charlotte Russe).

Official Springtime is almost here. We are finally starting to see a change in weather so I hope to be ditching the heavy sweaters and grab my button-downs and blazers.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I went in to J Crew to make a few returns and ended up in the fitting room with some new items. Story of my life…

First up is the Scallop Crepe Dress, size 8 in Bright Persimmon. Quite the V-Neck there. I’d definitely want to try a Petite 8 in this dress. I love the scallop detail at the neckline and this color is gorgeous. Overall, if I needed a work dress (I’d add a cami underneath) I’d try the 8P. But it’s a pass for me.

The Bright Jade in the No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Cotton Twill is a beautiful color. My normal size 6 fit well. I don’t have a need for pencil skirts and have been passing on all the solid colors of the last year, as pretty as some of those are. New “shaping seams” were added to the sides and back. I know it will probably accentuate some assets which will bother some but I didn’t mind them.

The Salon Mini in Stripe is a pretty ivory & gray linen blend skirt. I see pairing it with neutrals like the Linen Perfect Shirt in White and Tybee Metallic Sandals. This is the size 8 and it ran a little big. I usually get the 8 in the minis but chose the size 6 as it was a better fit overall.

And the size 6, which I bought but am going to return. The 8 was too big and the lining of the size 6 is too tight. The skirt itself is not though. And though I like the Ivory and Gray together I can recreate that with the Fluted Skirt in Ivory and Scalloped Lace Tee in Gray from the Factory.
I’m curious if you’ve tried the Scallop Crepe Dress or the No. 2 Pencil Skirt and what you thought of it.

Wow! I haven’t done a Que Bella post since {Henny Penny} so here is a sampling of what I’ve been wearing. There have been a lot of days where I am just wearing lounge clothing due to the cold weather. So so sick of it and will welcome 100 degrees and hot sun any day!

Valentine’s Day was the perfect opportunity to wear my red Tory Burch Alexa Cropped Denim. I paired it with my Marc x Marc Jacobs Flirty Zebra Tee, a gift from by friend Catalina. I added the Jackie Cardigan in White and my black Cece Flats.

I love the Cleo Silk Tunic and have already worn it twice since purchasing it. The print, the feel of the dress, the length are just perfect. And, I can pig out and no one will notice. Wearing with my Lanvin Wedge Espadrilles.

I found the Banana Republic Sloan Windowpane Pants on sale in January but in a size 6. I tried them on, just-in-case, and woo hoo! they fit. I paired it with a Merino Pocket Tunic and the Factory Sylvia/Martina Wedges.

My last day in the office was pretty nice outside and I was able to wear my new Boden Great White Shirt with a Jackie Cardigan in Navy. I paired my Everly T-Straps with my Tory Burch Cropped Skinny Jeans.

This last outfit I absolutely loved! I felt very comfortable in it and it felt very me. Not necessarily the ruffles but the cool shirt with a cardigan, skinny jeans and heels. Now if I can just recreate that look with other items in my closet. Classic, simple, with awesome shoes!

Have a Great Day!

Currently the J Crew Factory has 50% off in-store through Monday and 30% off online through Sunday.

I wear shorts all summer long and rarely put on jeans or pants. Sometimes I’ll grab a dress or skirt, for date nights or if I want to feel a little more put together. I decided to try a few of the Factory Shorts as they have upped their game a little in dressier Short offerings.

The Coral Tweed Short, size 8, has a 3-inch inseam and the tweed is pretty nice for Factory. I wouldn’t be able to size down to a 6 as this just fits across the hips. Absolutely love these as a dressier option for going out this Summer.

Yay! Lined!

The Metallic Brocade Short, size 8, is another great pair of shorts. The material is on the thinner side but it is lined. This will snag easily as I found two small threads already trying to escape. Another great dressy Summer short. It’s a little bunchy in front but I wouldn’t size down…hips again. I’d probably rip them sitting down. And the size 8 give me a little more length on the 3-inch inseam.

The Hummingbird Short, size 8, is a favorite print. The shorts have a 5-inch inseam and I love that length. The print isn’t overdone in front. I think I could size down to a 6 in these but I’ll keep the 8 as my store did not get these in. I am unsure if I’ll keep the Pencil Skirt now that I have the shorts. Both great options and, again, one of my favorite J Crew prints.

One styling option for all three shorts is the Embroidered Tank from last summer. It’s perfect for all three pairs.

The Stripe Bateau Tee, Medium, is like the retail version from a few seasons ago (2009/2010?). I grabbed the Neon Azalea and the Navy. I also ordered the Denim Roll-Up Short in White and Faded Indigo, both size 8.

These are both great shorts for around the house, no errands to run. I know I’ll wear both of these a lot as well. The 8 is a perfect fit.

I’m really drawn to Navy and White for Spring and Summer and couldn’t help but grab the Anchor Scarf. and the Critter Flip-Flops in Anchor Print. I always have a few pair of casual flip-flops for around the pool.

The Open-Weave Ribbon Fedora was pretty cute in the store and was definitely an impulse buy. It’s a one-size fits all and fits me just fine.

My store did not have the first three pairs of shorts when I was there last weekend. It’s not worth the 1 hour drive there to find out if they came in or not and do a PA or return/re-buy at 50% off.

Happy Shopping!
