I’m a little on the fence with the Cotton Cable Sweater. I like it and read the review before I purchased it. My store sold out of it pretty quickly so it seems popular. I don’t have a true white sweater so I though this would be a good choice.

I think what might be bothering me is the cable stitching on the outer sides of the sweater. To me, it seems to make me larger than I am. The size is definitely correct. The Medium fit well, TTS. If you want a slouchy look then go up one size. This is a little tight in the arms for me but that’s just me, as always. The sleeves aren’t too long as I would probably roll the cuff anyway.

Overall, I do like the sweater and will be keeping it. The Navy may have been a comfortable choice for me since it is a darker color but I have plenty of Navy in my closet. The White will make me think of ways to style it.

I ordered a few Final Sale items last week. Let’s see how they look.

~ Stretch Ribbed Wool Merino Sweater, Burnished Olive, Medium ~
This olive color is one of my favorites that J Crew has done throughout the years. I bought the Long Merino Wool Ribbed Sweater in Grey a few months ago and was hoping this was just like it but “normal” length. This sweater is a little thicker and the length seems about the same. It does have some Poly in it as opposed to the “Long” sweater. The Medium fits TTS, so no need to size down. This sweater, in other colors, is currently 25% off with the FINDAFAVE promo. I would probably grab the Navy and Dark Bluegrass out of the nine color offerings.
I have no idea why I bought a Medium in this sweater. The description clearly states “relaxed fit”. I should have sized to a Small. And I didn’t read the colors either. I thought the dark stripe was Blue not Black. It’s still workable, though, with skinnies. I’ll play around with it to see.

I love the Abstract Fair Isle Sweater and it seems a little ridiculous to get the scarf as well but this is one of the very few Fair Isle items I’ve liked. It’s the colors; pinks, gray, red. And the scarf has greens in it too. I regret not buying this scarf sooner. Then I would have had more time to wear it (though it does seem like Winter will never end). I think it will work with the Pinstripe Cashmere Sweater above. Gigi suggested that one.

Those were my Final Sale purchases. I could have passed on the first two and just bought the scarf.

Did you have any Final Sale hits or misses?

Trying to round up what I tried on at the Factory store Monday. It seems I did try on quite a few new arrivals that hit the stores and online this week.

~ Bristol Trouser in Herringbone Linen, Navy, size 8 ~

Yes, these are retail pants that were at the Factory; overstock I guess. I didn’t think to check the tag and just assumed these were Factory. The size 8 fit well until I sat down. Then they were a little snug in the thighs. I would need to hem the length as well. The store also had the Modern Red color but not in my size.

~ Drapey Sleeveless Top, Bright Poppy, Small ~

I grabbed two colors in two different sizes to see which worked better for me. I believe the retail version came in numbered sizes and I took a 6. The Small of the Factory version still seems a little big in some areas but fits well in the arms so I wouldn’t size down further.

~ Drapey Sleeveless Top, Black, Medium ~

The Medium was overwhelming big on me. The armholes were also large and hung low.

~ Teddie Sweater, Mint Cream, Medium ~

I grabbed this because I liked the mint color IRL. It is see-though so this may be a good layering sweater for Spring. The Medium was the right fit as well.

~ Long Cardigan Sweater, Navy, Medium ~

I’m pretty bummed I didn’t get this when I was in the store. I love the Navy color and it also comes in Ivory. It’s not too long that it’s overwhelming. The Medium was the right size and you get some shape when you button it.

The material does feel too thick and it feels really cozy on making it transition well into Spring.

I have one more set scheduled for tomorrow but this does wrap up the reviews of the new arrivals I saw in store. Tomorrow, I’ll have a few Clearance and other items I never had the chance to try.

Have a Great Evening!

It’s Restaurant Week and Husband and I try to take advantage of it, especially when there’s a set menu. Sometimes I just like to have a small choice of what to order but only because I want to try everything on the bigger menu.
Fancy Pants are always nice to have around for an impromptu date night. They are so easy to pair with Cashmere Tees or Tippi Sweaters. I just so happened to have the matching shoes to the pants, my beautiful Etta’s.
~ Other Fancy Pant Options: Lemonade PrintMedallion Floral, Dutch Floral ~
Sadly, they are now only 3-4 hour shoes. If  I’m mostly sitting that is. Add standing in there and it’s 2 hours, tops. The height, at 4 inches, is really too tall for me to handle now. I’m a 3-inch heel or lower kind of gal now. But aren’t they GORGEOUS!
I love that the Blue Tee works well with the Pants. I added my Black Lexington Blazer and some bracelets from J Crew and C.Wonder to finish the look. It’s always fun to wear those dressier items that linger in your closet.

Have a Great Day!

New Puffer Vests arrived for Spring at the Factory store. I tried on the Printed Puffer Vest and grabbed a few pics of the solid colors (at the end).

I take a Small in the Puffer Vests, even with layering. There are on-seam pockets. There are quilted channels instead of the diamond-shape on both the printed and solid.

Soft Grey, Bright Hydrangea, Bright Kiwi

I really liked the Soft Grey color of the solid version. I’m not sure how much used I would get out of them since I tend to grab my blazers during the Spring. If you’re interested I would definitely recommend getting one now, while they are 30% off. I don’t see them going any lower and they were frequently excluded from promos.

What do you think of the new Puffer Vests?
