I saw a lot of cute tops at Loft on my last visit as well. I am a sucker for blousey peasant tops and there were several in different colors and prints.

~ Embroidered Floral Top, Gulfside Blue, Medium ~
This was my favorite, and apparently everyone else’s too since most sizes had sold out. I bought the Medium anyway, even though it fits pretty loose. The Small or maybe the Medium Petite will be a better fit. I’m hoping to find it at another store in either of those sizes before returning the Medium. The arms have elastic, which I’m not a fan of, but they weren’t tight at all.
The shirt looks a little better tucked in but overall a smaller size would be best.

~ Tonal Striped Henley Blouse, Black, Medium Petite ~
This size fit big as well. The style is the same as the shirt above but does have a Henley button placket down the front. That may account for the looser fit in the Petite.

The length is also a little long and looks better tucked in. I’m hoping to find this in a smaller size as it was also selling out fast, in-store.

~ Embroidered Tassel Blouse, Medium Petite ~
I like the blue details of this blouse but this size fits a little snug in the arms. Though there are minor differences in each blouse from above they all have the same shape. I think a regular Medium would fit better in this blouse. The tassels were a little annoying so they might do better tied in a loose bow.

~ Foil Linen Cap Tee, Medium ~
This was the tee Gigi posted about on Facebook. I almost didn’t find it, thinking it had sold out. This is a little thicker than the J Crew Linen Tee I reviewed a few weeks ago. The Medium fit TTS for me. It’s not loose or drapey. This also comes in several colors. The Mystic Turquoise and Yellow Daffodil were very pretty, saturated and bright.

The sleeves are a cap sleeve. They are looser on the model than me so if you have thinner arms they will look a little better on you.

~ Foil Sleeveless Linen Tee, Summit Grey, Medium ~
The color does not look Grey IRL but bronze-colored. I actually loved this more than the Cap Sleeve Tee because of the color. Again, the Medium fit TTS. I brought this along as an “extra” in my carry-on to San Diego. It will look nice under the Linen Cotton Denim Jacket

It was really nice to see some great items at Loft this time, and at 40% off. I am hoping I can find a different size in the Embroidered Floral Top while shopping today.

I was looking for a jacket similar in color to the J Crew Denim Jacket in Ecru and found one at Loft. I also found a similar jumpsuit from the J Crew Drapey Crepe Jumpsuit. Take a look below.

My store sold out of the Denim Jacket in Ecru Wash pretty quickly, especially in my size Medium, and I knew I wanted to take it with me on my trip this week. (I’m in San Deigo right now.) I looked online at Loft because Gigi had posted a Gold Linen Tee on her Facebook page last week. While I was searching for the tee, I found this jacket.
The material is a linen-cotton blend and much thinner than the denim jacket. I actually prefer than as it is very lightweight and I may be able to wear it through June, barring 100 degree temps. I am usually a Small/Medium in Loft so I chose the Medium since I thought the sleeves might be cut a little tight. The Medium was a great fit and the same size as the J Crew version.
~ Linen Drawstring Pants, White, Small ~
I saw these in white and blue and decided to try the white to have something to go with the linen tees I grabbed. The Small was just a tiny bit snug until I moved around a little. I think they would stretch a little more throughout the day so I would stick with that size. The Medium would have been a better fit in the hips but very loose in waist. The length was really long on me, even “in heels” (left pic) so it would need to be hemmed.

There was also a wide-leg version, without the drawstring that came in White and Green. I would probably go with that version since I have a cropped drawstring linen pant from J Crew.
~ Fluid Sleeveless Jumpsuit, Black, size 6 ~
Had I known Loft had a jumpsuit like this I would have passed on the J Crew version. There are two differences. 1) This has a drawstring and elastic waist. 2) The ankle has elastic. The inseam is 26 1/2 inches and this time I can tell that is correct.

I liked the ankle hiked up a bit and because of the elastic, they stayed that way when I moved around. The size 6 was a great fit. I would have been swimming in the size 8. Maybe a Petite 8 would be good too but I really liked the fit of the 6. I was able to get the J Crew jumpsuit for 30% off before it was excluded from the promos but the Loft is a much better deal at $89.50 plus 40% off. And it’s just as cute!

I missed out on the 50% off everything sale early last week but still bought the jacket at 40% off. Much much less than the J Crew jacket.

I always find it so hard to find the right pair of Navy-colored shoes. The ones I find are either too bright or too dark and not a true Navy. I was very excited to see the Sylvia Patent Wedges offered in Navy during the last Factory roll-out. During the Early Access, they were priced at half off and I also had a 20% off coupon, making them around $57. Let’s see if they live up to my expectations.

~ Sylvia Patent Wedges, Navy, size 7 ~

Though you see a little gap at the heel, these fit TTS. These look a little lighter blue than Navy but IRL they are a true Navy.
The last time I ordered Sylvia Patent Wedges they were actually the Martina, I’m guessing from overstock. This time these are true Factory shoes with a Poly upper. They are very comfortable and padded on the insole. I’m glad they haven’t skimped out on that part.
I have a lot of Navy in my closet but I do have a pair of Navy pumps that are similar in color. I think I would wear the wedge quite a bit though. For the price I paid, I think they are keepers.
Have you tried the latest Sylvia Patent Wedges? Do you have trouble finding Navy colored shoes?

I placed several Factory orders when I had extra promo coupons bringing some of the prices fairly reasonable. I decided to try a few more shorts as I wear those constantly in Summer. I feel more comfortable in shorts and skirts in the Summer, especially with our heat.

3″ Boardwalk Pull-on Short, Navy, size 8 ~
5″ Boardwalk Pull-on Short, Navy, size 8 ~

The 3-inch short is on the left and the 5-inch is on the right. I like the length of the 5-inch better, though the 3-inch looks longer that it probably should be due to the elastic waist. You can have it sit lower on your hips to give you a little more length. The size 8 is the best fit in these shorts (my normal shorts & pants size). The Navy is a little darker color than my Factory Chino Shorts in Navy. Those are a faded Navy. I kept the 5-inch since they just looked better.

3″ Chambray Drawstring Short, Medium ~

The Medium was a good fit in these, but the inseam looks shorter than the Boardwalk shorts. I bought these for really cheap and though they look like a really short inseam I kept them. They are good for around the house/pool/yard. It seems a little silly to buy shorts for non-outfit days but I can still run to the store looking somewhat decent if needed.

~ 5″ Chino Short, Barbados Cherry, size 8 ~

These fit fine in the size 8, TTS. I was hoping the red was a little more saturated but it’s somewhat faded. I want a nice bright red short, for no real reason. This won’t do.

~ Geometric Trim Tunic, Vintage Canvas, Medium ~
I really liked the geo-design on this tunic but this ran loose so I need to size to a Small. The material is a little thicker cotton but still very comfortable. I ended up returning this one because I did not think it was very flattering on me. Maybe because there was no shape or structure to it.
 ~ Denim Tee, Medium ~
When I ordered this I thought the color different/shading was my computer. It’s IRL too. The very first inches of the top are a faded denim compared to the rest of the tee. That turned me off right away. The Medium fit fine though this was pretty boxy and not shaped at all. I couldn’t get over the color fading at the top to concentrate on anything else about this tee. It is popular though, as it is sold out now.
Other than the two pairs of shorts, Factory was a miss overall. I’m hoping Summer brings some nice prints but I don’t need anything more.
How did you fare with Factory items?

This weekend Talbots is having their Friends & Family event, with 30% off your purchase. I received the latest catalog on Thursday and there was the Wild Flower Shirtdress that had the most beautiful print.

I checked online and was going to have it reserved for me in the store today but all sizes but 10 & 12 were sold out. I went to the store anyway and found one of each regular size, including the size 8. The fit was great in that size. I think if I sized to a 6 the chest would be a little tight. The 8 Petite might have made it a little shorter as the regular size 8 hits just below the knee.

!function(doc,s,id){ var e, p; if(!doc.getElementById(id)) { e = doc.createElement(s); e.id = id; p = ‘//shopsensewidget.shopstyle.com/widget-script.js’; var cb = new Date().getTime(); p += ‘?cb=’ + cb; e.src = p; doc.body.appendChild(e); } if(typeof window.ss_shopsense === ‘object’){ if(doc.readyState === ‘complete’){ window.ss_shopsense.init(); } } }(document, ‘script’, ‘shopsensewidget-script’);

More in this print…I saw the espadrilles and they were super cute.

!function(doc,s,id){ var e, p; if(!doc.getElementById(id)) { e = doc.createElement(s); e.id = id; p = ‘//shopsensewidget.shopstyle.com/widget-script.js’; var cb = new Date().getTime(); p += ‘?cb=’ + cb; e.src = p; doc.body.appendChild(e); } if(typeof window.ss_shopsense === ‘object’){ if(doc.readyState === ‘complete’){ window.ss_shopsense.init(); } } }(document, ‘script’, ‘shopsensewidget-script’);
The background is cream and not white and the print is just as pretty in person. I’ll update this post with some IRLs tomorrow. I wanted to let you know because it’s just too pretty not to share (and it’s included in the 30% off).

Have a Great Evening!
