The Everett Field Jacket from the Factory is almost identical to the retail Downtown Field Jacket. I originally had the Mossy Brown but never wore it because I wanted the Navy instead. When I was at the Factory Store a few weeks ago, I saw the jacket in Navy. The only difference between it and the online image was that the belt was missing, which I didn’t want anyway.

The material is not as thick or as sheen/shiny as the retail version. Not sure how that translates to weather proof as I don’t know how well the retail version holds up to rain.

At the time the jacket was 40% off and then another 25% with the coupon I had, making the jacket $56! Pretty awesome for a replica of the retail version. I’ve already worn it a few times as well over the weekend, bringing my CPW down. It’s the perfect jacket to wear to transition from Spring to Summer.

When I stopped at the Factory store last week I saw the Keating Boy Blazer in Tipped Linen. Because I also ordered the retail Schoolboy Blazer in Tipped Linen in Ivory I’m going to do a review of the two. A “SmAcKdOwN” as Gigi would say.

First is the Schoolboy Blazer. I ordered my normal blazer size of 10 Petite and the fit is spot on. I reviewed this blazer in Navy a few weeks ago and though this is tipped the material is not Crosshatch Linen like the Navy. The gold buttons feel a little cheap.

The lining is the same color as the blazer so it doesn’t show through. There is a little pink trim on the inside as well.

Next is the Keating Boy Blazer. I must say I really liked the quality of this Blazer. The size 8 fit pretty well. The buttons are great too being white and silver instead of gold like the retail version. Otherwise the shoulders and arms were comfortable and the Linen is really nice. The lining is striped and you could barely see it through the material in the arm.

The sleeve lining is striped while the body is Ivory.
A few side-by-sides…Retail on the left, Factory on the right

I prefer the Factory buttons over the Retail. The silver just seems to look better with the blazer. They also don’t feel as cheap or light. Not that they are Lexington buttons but they do feel better than the Retail buttons.

I think I really like the Keating Boy Blazer more than the Schoolboy Blazer. They are both 100% Linen but the Keating Boy Blazer feels nicer. The first visit to the Factory store the Keating was 30% off. When I went during the week it was 40% off. I was able to get the blazer for around $75.

Have you tried either of these blazers? What do you think of the Keating Boy Blazer?

I had a little time in the week to head to the Factory store (um….twice) to make some returns and check out the new arrivals. Promos changed from “everything in the store up to 50% off” to “…60% off”. I’ll be breaking this up into a few different posts as there was so many things I tried on. I really loved this latest Factory Roll-out.

Boy Jean, size 28 – These are supposed to be the Factory version of the Vintage Straight Jean. My size in those is 28 so I grabbed the same for the Factory. These just fit in this size but I think the size 29 would be too loose. I wasn’t looking for these and just tried on in case those of you aren’t near a Factory store. My verdict is to size down if you are looking for a super casual Saturday pair.

Skinny Ankle Jean in Dark Rinse, size 29 & 30 – I ordered these in the Northport Wash during the Early Access. I saw them in-store as well as the Classic Rinse and preferred the Classic Rince instead. I’m a 30 in the Toothpick Jeans but have been sizing to a 29 in the Factory version. You can see the size 30 are bunchy in the front. They get a little loose throughout the day so the front would be really saggy at the end of the day in the size 30. Toothpick Jeans were 40% off on Saturday and then changed to 50% off on the next Wednesday.

The Northport Wash…

Skimmer Pant in Chambray, size 6 – I have been searching for these as well and they finally arrived in last week’s roll-out. They are comfortable on and fit looser than the Skimmer Pant in Oxford that I ended up returning but only because I bought these instead. These were 50% off in-store both days.

I bought everything but the Boy Jean. I will hem the Skimmer Pant and have already worn the Ankle Toothpick in Dark Rinse twice. Also, the Factory Matchstick Jeans were 60% off, if you are a fan of those.

Lace-Front Tank, Small and Medium – I love my Embroidered Eyelet Tank in Ivory from last year. The retail version has a scalloped hem while the factory version does not. Everything else is the same for this tank including the sizing. I have a Small in the retail version, mainly because the armhole was cut low and the Factory version is the same way.
This tank comes in three colors: Ivory, Bright Hydrangea and Bright Rose. I was so caught up in seeing these at the Factory I bought all three colors. Since I have the retail Ivory version I don’t need the Factory version. They really are almost the same.

Charley Sweater in Orange, Medium – I did not expect to like this sweater and tried it on only for the blog. But it’s super-cute and I really liked it. I didn’t get it because, even though our weather has caused me to wear every sweater I own at least once, I didn’t need another sweater. Even one as cute as this. My normal size Medium fit well

Floral Eyelet Top, size 8 – I liked the Melon color of this blouse. It’s not too bright IRL. The fit is spot on for me in the size 8, my normal shirt size. The eyelet is nice, but overall this is not something I’m looking for in my closet, in any of the colors. I know it will look great with white and navy bottoms.

Printed Silk Two Pocket Blouse, Small – I love my Blythe blouse in Pale Graphite. It’s so versatile and I wear it often. I was happy to find it at the Factory in Black Dot. Though it’s sheer I usually layer these under sweaters, cardigans and dresses. The Medium was originally too long in the arms and looser through the body. The Small fits much better all over. This went from 40% to 50% by Wednesday’s visit.

Stretch Cotton Peplum Dress, size 6, Dark Emerald – I have been lusting over this dress since I saw it show up a month or so ago. I never ordered it. I felt I didn’t have any occasion to wear it. But when I was in the store Wednesday I decided to finally try it on. OMG! LOVE! I need a little better Spanx on top but this is a perfect fit. There also wasn’t a size 8 to try on. Glad I bought it as the size 8 is sold out online. Trying them on with my beloved Valentino Bow Heels.

The Ettas also pair nicely with the dress. My younger cousins need to hurry up and get married so I can wear my dresses to their weddings. 😉

I found the Linen Bead-Stitch Sweater in the Clearance section of the Factory. This is a Medium.

The Keating Boy Blazer in Linen in Minty Green was marked down to $99.97. Blazers were 40% off both Saturday and Wednesday. The mark-down happened between those days. Then of course, you can use the 20/25% coupon as well.

The Factory has been getting my money lately over the Retail side. Especially when the Retail prints and styles are being duplicated a few seasons later. Retail is loosing it’s mind. I like the quality in a lot of the Factory items and the prices are much better. The bonus is when they have 30/40/50% off plus a coupon to use!

Who has been getting your money lately?

See my other recent reviews here and here. Be warned..lace, crochet and sheer. Oh My!

Crocheted Lace Tank, size Small, Haven Blue – This tank is not my style but seems to be popular. It comes in three colors. The other two are Heather Fog and Sweet Vanilla. I do like it with it paired with the Light Citron Lace-Stripe Skirt. The Small was a good fit and I wouldn’t size to my normal Medium. Overall, a pass for me.

Lace-Sleeve Sweatshirt, size Medium – Blech! Seriously, I think this is hideous. The CFS says they took organza from a wedding & party dress and put it on a sweatshirt. Do you know how quickly this lace will tear or snag? It’s why it’s on a wedding dress…because it’s only worn once. Well, twice, since you take pictures in it too. I’ve seen this layered with a button-down underneath and it doesn’t look any better. Sorry to bash it because it will appeal to some people but this is another item I wouldn’t buy on deep discount with a promo.

Metallic Linen V-Neck Sweater, Small -Now I really liked this sweater, even before I put it on. It’s very boxy and sheet but I like how it looked over the Silk Crepe Maxidress. It will require a cami underneath but for a night out this will be cute to wear, maybe with the Factory Coral Tweed Shorts. I have a some vacations in the next few months where this outfit will do nicely. There is a panel at the sleeve that is more sheer than the rest of the sweater. I guess to give it some contrast? It’s supposed to be relaxed so size down.

Perfect Shirt in Crosshatch Linen, size 6, Lemon Pulp – I have several colors of the Perfect Shirt in Linen in various sizes as well (6, 8, 8P). This fits fine in a 6 but I probably should have taken my normal size 8. It’s not that bad except for my problem areas (shoulders/arms). The Lemon Pulp is pretty bright but love that this will punch up any white, navy or black bottom this Summer.

Merino Silk-Panel Sweater in Windowpane Floral, size Small – I like the Silk-Panel sweaters because they are easy to throw on over a pair of jeans and heels and go. I feel comfortable but still chic in them. This one is called Heather Dove and look like a very light Pewter. I’m on the fence about this one though. I’m not sure I like the color against my skin-tone. It will hang out in my closet until I make my final decision.

Linen Cubist Print Tee, Small – I ordered this as a ride-along and love the colors in it. It doesn’t look too bad with the Collection Pyramid Brocade Short either. The only thing is I thought I ordered a Medium so I’ll have to be careful when washing this to make sure it doesn’t shrink.

Sorry I’m a bit of hater for this last roll-out. I wasn’t really feeling any of the Lace/Crochet/Seersucker items that showed up. And I have to add Sweatshirts to my “Go Away Already” list. That list includes exposed zippers, dropped shoulder seams and 5+ inch heels. Certain trends just need to run it’s course and go away. You know, like acid washed jeans, neon everything, rubber bracelets and claw bangs.

Hope you enjoyed these reviews. I have some Factory reviews coming up next.
