Sorry for the brief hiatus. This month has been hectic and lazy at the same time. Yay for Summer! (Though we have started on our 100 degree days around here. Sorry WMM, about your rain! Hope you get to tend you garden/yard soon!)

Husband took me out for an early birthday dinner on Friday. Since I have been to Boiler House before, I knew I wanted to wear something loose and not constricting. The Carrie Dress in Big Dot was the perfect item to hide my impending food baby and beat the heat.

I had originally planned to wear black sandals with the dress but decided to try Leopard instead. I love the Lillian Calf Hair Sandals and scored these on ebay. I don’t know why I didn’t listen to Gigi and size down to a 6 1/2 but the ankle strap holds me in.
I was able to grab the Carrie Dress in Hawaiian Sunset as well during the stackable promo in store. This dress is great for those really hot days and my new Cons go well with them to make the dress super casual.
Hope you have a Great Day! I’m heading to my annual Birthday lunch at La Gloria, back over at The Pearl. If you’re ever in San Antonio, make a stop to that area. It has a great Farmer’s Market on Saturdays (The Boy works there), fantastic restaurants, a cool bar and lovely little shops.

Hi all! I back from my vacation in NYC and had an Amazing time! Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to do a whole lot of shopping but was able to hit up one J Crew.

I found an “old school ‘Crew” print from Spring 2006 there.
The Pineapple Print Skirt

The updated version of the Pineapple Print Skirt is shorter in length but seems to have the same silhouette. I took an 8 but could have probably sized to a 6. Because my experience wasn’t very positive in this store the skirt was the only thing I bought. The Boy was with me and I would have gladly bought him the Ludlow Suit he wanted if my initial service had been better. (#52857, $158-Not sure if it’s worth that price but wanted to bring it home anyway to try it.)

You can see it on Egyptomaniac, Ginger Girl, and M of Apples and Pencil Skirts. I love how differently each of them styled this skirt. Since J Crew seems to be bringing back some favorite prints is the Giverny far behind? Wendy and I can only hope.

If you didn’t catch my trip via Instagram, I hope to have a re-cap over the weekend.
Have a Great Evening!

Date night two Friday’s ago was the perfect reason to wear the Swoop Dress in Punk Floral. I ended up returning both of the solid colors, which are on sale now, because I knew I would always gravitate to the Punk Floral if choosing between the three colors.

I missed out on the Olympia Sandals in this color but was able to find them on ebay. Love them with this dress. I think my little BR Sleeveless Blazer will go well with this dress too.
I love this dress and can’t wait to wear it again!
Have a Great Day!

I realized I’ve been getting dressed but haven’t posted any Que Bella’s. These two outfits are some favorites!

I couldn’t wait to wear this top and a friend’s Birthday Happy Hour was the perfect opportunity. I was a copy-cat pairing it with white shorts like the model from the Anthropologie Fashion Show.

Another outfit that I LOVED was blatantly copied from Classy Girls Wear Pearls. Loved it on Sarah and on me! I wore this to the #JCrewStyleSession. I didn’t want to go full on Crew and the shorts did the trick. The necklace seems to be an in-store only item and a pendant version of the Crystal Compilation Necklace in Sunwashed Aqua.

Shorts: Milly Silk Pelican (8)
Necklace: J Crew Deco Pendant (in-store only)

I felt very boho in the first outfit and very chic in the second.

I’m off to NYC right now! Follow me on Instagram @audreybellatx to see pics
from the trip. They will be on my side-bar as well if you don’t have IG.

During the #JCrewStyleSession two weeks ago, my VPS and Store Manager both wanted me to try the Carrie Dress in Big Dot. I was unaware at the time that it was the same style as the dress in Hawaiian Sunset and originally was not a fan of that print. Because of this dress, I know am.

The color is Ivory and the dots seem black to me. I haven’t seen it outside yet so it could be navy. Gigi also tried it on here. You can see that the dots on Gigi’s dress in the same places and the online shot shows the same placement. To me the dot placement at the waist gives the illusion of being slimmer. I have on the size 6. Because this fits just exactly at the top I think it seems to be more of an A-line silhouette on me, flaring out starting at the bust.

The racer-back means a strapless bra, unless you are brave enough to go without one. The length is normal for me but will be shorter on taller ladies.

This vest is the Sleeveless Linen Blazer from Banana Republic in 8 Petite. I was able to get this during one of the promos from last week. I also tried on the 6 and the Petite is about an inch shorter in length and I am able to easily close the one-button as opposed to a slightly tighter fit on the 6. I really like this blazer and is perfect for being a little more dressy during the summer. The color is white and though it contrasts a little with the color of the dress it still works.BR usually has 40% off on Wednesday’s though the Women’s Blazers are usually excluded from the promo online.

This is a great dress for me and the style made me try on the Hawaiian Sunset dress, though in a size smaller as mine was already sold out in store.
Have you seen this in-store? Willing to give it a try?
