I stopped by the J Crew Factory Store before heading back home from the office. I was excited because the store had some new arrivals.

Evening Primrose Print – Color: BOL, Burnished Olive
Strapless Dress, Style #25208, $98 (I didn’t try this on.)

Cotton Belle Skirt, Style # , $69.50 ($10 off), Size 4
I love this skirt. See it on Dina here.

Size 8 – This is about an inch longer than the 4. There wasn’t a 6 or I would have snatched that up. I can’t wait to pair this with tights and boots.

Cotton Sweater – You remember this from Fall 2009 in Merino Wool.
Style #28428, $72.00 (less $5), Size M

Imperial Tee – Outlet version -Style #29155, $29.50 (less 30% off all graphics)
This is not as sheer as the original. These are selling out. My store only had 2 Larges left.

Art Workshop Tee – Style #28400, $24.50 (plus 30% off)
Now this is still in stores. I purchased this two weeks ago, on sale for $9.99 plus 30% off.

Headache Tee – Style # , $29.50 (less 30% off), Size M
From what I can tell, it is just like the original.

Corduroy Blazer in Natural, Style #27611, Size 6
They had this in a light purple (maybe Light Berry) and navy. It fit well and was really cute.

Silk Pleated Posy Top – Style #30524, $74.50 (less $10), Size 4, Color WWI

Black, Size 6 – This was a better fit than the 4. Not as snug on top.

Shirred Wool Skirt – Style #28747, $69.50, Size 6
This came in Heather Charcoal, Black and HLA (heather ?).

Size 8 – This is about an inch longer than the 6 but still above the knee.

What did I get?
The Headache Tee since I missed out on it the first time. Both colors of the Silk Pleated Posy Cami. The Belle Skirt and the cardigan in the Evening Primrose print. The stretch shirt below

Solid Stretch Shirt, Such a pretty saturated color. $44.50 (less 30% off)

Hi everyone! Sorry for the absence. Work has been, well, work. So much that I needed to make an office trip Wednesday. I haven’t been in to my office since the end of April so I was due to go in for a day. Going in meant two things. 1)..Wearing a new item, particularly one of my new pencil skirts; and 2) Stopping by the J’Crewlet, where dina found some goodies I had to see in person.

So the first part will be taken care of below. I will post later today or tomorrow the outlet finds.

Here’s the Polyvore.

And how I wore it.

(I don’t have the bag but I saw it IRL and it is gorgeous!)

I am so happy with this outfit, except for one thing. The tank had a rouge ribbon that stuck straight out in the most inappropriate place. AND, it was right where it could be covered by the cardi, or not. So I need to do a little stitching to lay that sucker back down.

Have a great day!

Sorry for the teaser earlier but I’ll get straight to the business because of it! (I tried to take as many flash pics as I could.)

Honore Dress – #27248, $128, Size 6
LOVELOVELOVE this dress! I love the full A-line skirt. It’s so fun and would be a great party dress. It’s cotton and the ruffle-y part in front needs a good steaming. The description says it has a side-zip but this is a back zip.
Coddington Suede Platform Pump – #27920, Black, $228 online, $198 in-store (I should probably go back and get these.) The Dusk Red online is spicy!

Wool Tuxedo Short – #29875, $88, Size 6 – Meh…These would look great on someone with thinner legs than me. And would look great with tights.

Glen Plaid Ruffle Skirt – #28263, $128 (WHAT!), Size 6 – This is way too short for me, especially with all the ruffles. I added the heels and looked HOOO-CHEEE. Pass for me but I know some of you out there can pull of this skirt.

Waverly Chino – #29468, Size 6 – I don’t really do chinos too much but one of the SA’s asked me to try these on. This size was a little snug for me. I tried on the 8 and it fit a whole lot better and looser around the waist and booty. But the length would need to be hemmed.

Silk/Metallic Pencil Skirt – #29037, Color TOL, Size 6 – This is a Collection item and is very pretty. It is not online but I did take a picture of the tag, although not the price. Doh! But I know it was less than $150 and possibly priced at $128 or $98.

Camo Crinkled Chiffon Skirt – #28237, $128, Size 6 – Here’s part of my new hunting outfit. there’s nothing about this I like. From the crinkle, to the diagonal stitching, to the length (15″ according to the website), to the print. Honestly, it looks like someone took the cover from a hunting blind and made a skirt with it. I’m sure if I was 15-20 years younger I could rock it.

Herringbone Bell Skirt – #28261, $79.50, Size 6 – Elastic waist band, no zipper anywhere. I like it but was hoping to see the other colors of the Wool Bell Skirt, like the Henna or English Saddle.

Ankle Stretch Toothpick in Twilight Wash – #27487, $128, Size 30 – Sadly, I have my father’s legs. So I may think I look great in skirts and shorts but give me a skinny pant or jean and I look like I stuffed my legs in a sausage casing. I originally tried on the 29 and wouldn’t walk out of the dressing room, let alone take a picture.

I like the wash. Nice and dark with no whiskered effect or frayed edges and hems or holes. Thanks J Crew for making a normal jean.

Pilar Paisley Cami – #28503, $89.50, Size 2 – I grabbed the wrong size but it’s not too bad. I could probably do a 4 in this.

Bettina Cami – #28505, $79.50, Size 6 – I think I need to give this one another try-on. I was still swooning over the dress. It’s got a “Victoriana-inspired” feel too it. It is still great for the rest of the summer and through the fall and winter layered with cardis and blazers.

Not-the-Calista-Cami-even-though-the-tag-says-it-is Cami – According to the TAG #28506, Color DRO, $79.50, Size 6 – I love this color. And it looks so much better when it’s steamed.

Here it is in the Warm Taupe. When I tried on this outfit I added the Burnished Olive Cashmere Crewneck Cardi.

Sparkle Waves Henley – #30078, $45, Size S – Nothing special about it for me but I know someone else will like it. I’m sure that once I see someone style it I’ll love it.

Perfect Fit Folded Flower Tank – #31180, $29.50, Size M – I missed out on the summer version of this tank and will be wearing this under my Victoria ruffle tees I have.

Cascading Sequin Cardigan – #28145, $118, Size M – Cute, embellished cardi that also comes in gray.

Rimini Cardigan – #29000, $98, Size M, Color NUT(meg) – Similar to the Torque Moto Cardigan but lightweight.

Printed Cardigan (not online) – #28143, $88, Size M, Color ROR

Cashmere Crewneck Cardigan – #18871, $158, Size M – Colors BOL (Burnished Olive) and HAG (Heather Agate) – So happy Cashmere is in my store!

Solid Ripstop Field Jacket – #26994, $98, Size S – Still way too big, even for layering. I’m unfamiliar with the price point on these types of jackets but it looks like a deal to me.

Knit Blazer – #29214, $168, Size 6 – Color UGR – Cute

Marled Knit Thandie Blazer – #29305, $158, Size 6 – I love this cute blazer. It’s a lightweight knit and will be perfect for those mild winter days we always seem to have. I really have no need for a heavy coat except for 4-5 times a year, if that.

So Yay New Arrivals!

I was so excited this morning to see J Crew had updated their website with the new arrivals. I made sure to block out time on my work calendar to go at lunch. So many pretty things. So many pretty colors.

Here’s a tease while I get the main post ready for this evening.

I had so much fun trying on everything. My store has gone through a few changes lately. One of them being they are becoming a Luxe store. So shoes, bags and cashmere! Oh my!

Come back this evening to check out the fitting room try-ons.

Sorry, couldn’t help myself.

Don’t you hate it when you see something you want in a magazine or photo but when you see it IRL it might not be so great after all. So you pass on it and then think about it for the next few months regretting you didn’t buy it. That’s what happened to me and the Tie-Dye Wednesday skirt. IRL, it just didn’t strike me like I wanted it to. It sold out quickly and every time I saw it as a pop-back I regretted my decision to not buy it and wanted it even more. There it was, just taunting me.
Thankfully, we have the JCA Exchange where I found my skirt but, again, didn’t ask about it or buy it. Then it showed up on ebay. Major sign, right? So I bid and eventually won the auction. Turns out it was a JCA (Thanks Carrie!) selling the skirt. Silly me, I should have asked.
So now I have no more regrets (at least about this skirt) and can move on to my next obsession. Not sure what that is but I’ll find something soon.
Tee: J Crew Twisted Slub
Skirt: J Crew Tie-Dye Wednesday Skirt

Here’s what I wore Monday.

The colors of the blouse are so striking and vibrant.
