I have a Super Shoes-day post for you today. While in San Diego I stopped by a J Crew that had a large shoe selection. Some I had not seen IRL.
These were so cute IRL and I wasn’t sure if these were Navy or Black, in certain light. The leather fringe is so cool-looking. These were the display and they fit well. The fringe was a little ticklish at first but I got used to it pretty quickly. Due to the flatness of the insole/sole, I don’t think they would be too comfortable. There is no padding or arch support so I don’t think these would be comfortable for all day walking around.
I didn’t expect these to be a “lemon” color as there is only a little showing on the fabric compared to the purple. My foot is slightly wide at the ball of the foot area and so these were a little tight. I’d get the 7 1/2 to have them fit comfortably. If you have a narrower foot than me I would take your normal size. They are also completely flat with no insole padding or arch support. I do like the colors on these. I might have considered them had they been a D’Orsay style, with a back.
I’ve tried these on in my store before and new I would need a 7 1/2 due to my width. They still felt a little snug but I think they might stretch a little. You can see there are a little big in the length since I have a little room at the back of the insole. I do like the Huarache-band style but they weren’t “have-to-have” shoes like a few others that I have purchased recently.
On a personal note: We’ve had a lot of rain the last few weeks and have turned our drought of several years to once-a-decade flooding. Our ground is now so saturated the rain water has no where to go. Luckily, my area and home are fine but my company headquarters was severely damaged.
I have friends in the Wimberley, Texas area who had flooding and some of their neighbors had their homes taken from their foundations. Mother Nature is a amazing beast. Giving us what we desperately needed to get out of this drought, and fill our lakes all over Texas with much needed rain. But, it seems Texas weather is never mild. We always “go big or go home” ranging from one extreme to the other.
This little blog is just a fun little hobby for me and clothes and shoes are material things that can easily be replaced. Lots of people have lost more than that this past Holiday weekend and I just ask you keep those affected in Central Texas and other affected flood areas in your thoughts and prayers.
Thanks for reading! I appreciate you stopping by!

I have been watching the floods and feel so badky for those people whose homes and businesses have been devastated by the flood. I am sorry to hear about your workplace and glad your own home has been spared.
Thank you Wendy. One of my co-workers was displaced but was able to find a good friend to shelter him and his pets. Those are the ones I really feel awful for. A lot of them are missing their owners right now since some had to leave in the middle of the night. Surprisingly, though the animal shelter is near one of the rivers that crested, it wasn't flooded at all.
My favorite of these three on you is the 2nd pair. Very Audreybella. I'm not loving the 1st ones. I think they're more hairy than fringe-y. I saw them irl and felt the same way. Your assorted TBs heels are better than the huraches. I know they're not mules, but your shoe game is elevated so I want you matched w/the best. 😉
Glad to hear people in your life are safe, despite the flooding tragedies. ((hugs)) to my fit twin!
Gigi – The Fringe Sandals were fine IRL but looking at them in pics my feet look like matching Cousin Its. I struggle over buying mules or not. I don't like hearing the slap-slap when people don't walk in them right, even though I do wear the heck out of my TB Thora Flip-Flops.
