I showed you my picks earlier and now here are some reviews. First up are dresses.
Stripe Linen-Cotton Sundress, size 8 – I was attracted to this dress the moment I saw it online and couldn’t wait to try it on. Sadly, like Gigi said in her review, there’s too much pleating, making the skirt really poofy. The size 8 was a perfect fit. Anything with a structured bodice I will need to size to an 8. For a shift, loose top I can size to a 6. I really do love this dress and am so sad it doesn’t work for me.
The second pic with my hand at the hip is how I would have loved it to fit. Just a little less poofy.
Stripe Pocket Dress, Small – I wasn’t really a fan of the faux leather pockets, not even when it was a Retail. The knit isn’t too thick and the Small was a good fit, except for the length. You know I love a good mini but I raised my arm and…scandalous! I also did not like the brown pockets on the pink dress. They just didn’t go.
Sleeveless Ruched Dress, size 6, Neon Violet – I grabbed this to try on because I was attracted to the color. I have no need for this dress as I just bought the Stripe Basket-Weave Dress that I have no need for, but loved from my try-on. This was snug in the bodice so I would size to an 8 for a better fit. It might give me a little more length, but not much. Seeing as this is more of a party/wedding/non-work dress the shorter length is good.
I know on Wednesday the entire store was 50% off. I do not know if that carried over to the weekend. Currently, you can take an extra 30% off online with BIGSALE.

All three of these dresses are lovely! Thanks for the reviews! I wish J. Crew would make slightly longer hemlines on some of their dresses. As you mentioned, they are not always work appropriate because they are often too short.
Would you say to size down in the stripe pocket dress? I've been looking at getting it.
Yes I would. I'm normally a medium and with the exception of the length, when raising my arms, I'd still get the Small.
