I haven’t done a true Que Bella in over a month so here are a few things I’ve been wearing. I’ll be back to my Capsule Remix next week, when everyone leaves and my house is empty. You can always catch glimpses on my Instagram.

The Brandyce Tunic from Tory Burch is such a special piece. There are matching pants but I though that was a little too much. But Kiernan Shipka looks great in both. I found these pants at White House/Black Market. They are very flattering and I’m wearing a size 6 Short in them.

The Neon Papaya of the Fluted Skirt is VERY VERY NEON. But I noticed it matches the top part of the sun in this tee perfectly. I got it on final sale so no returning this one. Oh well, what’s a Summer tan if you can’t show it off with some neon.

Finally, this was for the first day of Orientation for The Boy. I love my Seville’s. I walked all over campus in them all day long, around 13 hours and was comfortable in them the whole time. I felt very put together but not overdressed in any way.

I have reviews waiting in the wings. Have a Great Day!

I am in super LOVE with the Fluted Skirt in Double Crepe. I have almost every color and even tried the Leather Skirt (obscenely short) and the Copper Bloom (material felt cheap and thin). The Embellished Skirt is cute but basically it’s just the Ivory skirt with pink jewels on it.

Love isn’t even the word that can describe how I feel about this skirt. Obsessed is more like it: Black, Ivory, Poppy, Navy, Pack Green. I’ve worn and styled the Ivory and Black more times than I’ve posted on my Que Bellas.

Still taking a size 8. The Pack Green should have come out for Winter as it’s a little dark. The Navy should have been saved for Spring. But with a lighter top this should work out alright for the Spring.
I can’t wait to style the Navy skirt. I have several new and old tops that will pair nicely with this color.

I would love to get the Pale Citrus color but I have the  Postage Stamp Mini in Embroidered Neon Floral from last Summer that is too close in color to justify. And, it would be great to see the Nightgarden Floral Print on this style.

The Brocatto Peplum Top was the only item on my Anthro wishlist I wanted to see using the Anthro Day 15% off. I ordered a Medium and should have probably chosen a Medium Petite. It’s loose in the shoulders and chest and then fits in the waist. The material is a beautiful brocade but does look a little like Grandmother’s couch. Also, the Peplum is a bit “peppy”

I love the color of the Roses and found so many items in my closet that would work with this top. I just don’t know if I love it enough to keep it or exchange it for a MP, so I’ll need your help deciding.

I originally didn’t care for pairing the Brocatto Peplum Top with the Fluted Skirt in Ivory because I had a Flare at the hip and then at my knees. But, now, seeing it in an image, I don’t think it looks that bad. What do you think? A pencil skirt or even the Sterling Skirt in Crimson Maple might be a better choice for this top.

Second, is a jean pairing. These are Lucky Brand Legend High-Rise Trouser Jeans, with the Schoolboy Blazer in Navy and Studded Strap Booties from Anthro. If I wore this top alone with a jean I would go a skinny jean like the Midrise Toothpick in Carbon.

Lastly, I have on the Flair Skirt in Double-Serge Wool in Navy, the Factory Clare Cardigan in Cabernet and my Louboutin’s in Cranberry. This is a nice look and the Clare Cardigan goes well with the top.

I created a few other looks in my Stylebook but am really on the fence about this top. So even though I like it and I can certainly wear this 3 ways, and more, I don’t know if I actually will. I have enough dressy tops to go with these items but can it be casual enough for WFH?
What do you think?

Husband always feels under-dressed when we have Date Night. I’ve explained to him that it’s the only time I can wear my nice clothes that are not work or daily wear appropriate. Like the Swoop Top, which I have in Punk Floral and the Solid Navy & Solid Burnished Brown. It’s a very lovely blouse but the tiny threads in the back ripped as soon as I put it on. It’s still too warm for cardigans on Date Night and the back opening is too low and exposed for a bra so I tried one of those adhesive backless bras.  Worked like a charm! It also felt nice not having straps digging in and under-wire poking you. I felt very comfortable.

I paired the Swoop Top in Navy with Fluted Skirt in Ivory. I added my Louboutin Puglia Espadrilles in Snakeskin. I originally finished off my look with the Classic Pave’ Link Bracelet and Necklace and my Kate Spade Queen of the Nile Camel Clutch but ditched the jewels when our original plans fell through and it was just dinner and drinks.

We had a wonderful meal at a Mexican Restaurant, La Fonda, that had a beautiful, enclosed outdoor patio. And the space was big enough for a party! I need to start looking for and reserving a space for The Boy’s Graduation Party in June. We have so many High Schools here, everything books up early.

We ended the evening at Bar Du Mon Ami and I had my favorite, the Hemingway Daquiri. I like mine tart not sweet but certainly not Double Rum like Hemingway supposedly preferred.

It was nice to be able to wear the Swoop Top. Especially now that I have the proper backless bra.

Have a Great Day!

I love my Fluted Skirt in Black (worn twice already!) that I purchased the Ivory too. I thought I would change up the review and make an outfit with it. Of course, Ivory goes with everything but I love it with Navy best.

Since we are still in Summer weather this is a good office look for me that will keep me warm in the cold A/C building and cool outside. I layered the Silk Gingham Top (on sale now for $79.99) under the Jeweled Collar Short-Sleeve Shirt in Navy. If I happen to go to an event, happy hour or dinner after work I can take off the s/s shirt and still look put together. Of course, when cooler temps arrive I’ll be throwing my Schoolboy Blazer in Navy over all of this. Lastly, I added the Janey Flats in the Vanilla Multi/Mai Tai Print.

I invaded Gus’s nap area. He’s so tired he doesn’t really care.
I did want to show this skirt with heels. Don’t my legs look a touch longer in the Bead-Stitch Etta’s

Other sleeveless options for layering…
Ruffled Rhinestone Top or Tilda   (check stores for this one)
Silk Keyhole Top  (on promo as of 9/4)
Silk Draped Collar Top  (Where did this come from???) (on promo as of 9/4)

I am pretty sure I’ll get plenty of wear from this skirt. I was surprised at how versatile the Black skirt has been. Both skirts are currently on Back-Order. It is a bit short for someone taller than me (5’2″) but would probably look cute with leggings.

I hope you enjoyed this review of the Fluted Skirt in Ivory. I’ll post a Que Bella as soon as I wear it.
