I loved the Harvest Moon Poncho in Maize so much I bought it in Ivory as well. Of the three remaining colors, I knew the Ivory would pair well with what’s currently in my closet. The Silk Sleeveless Blouse is one of the best and most favorite tops J Crew has offered. I would continue to buy these every season in the various colors offered, if that were to happen. They layer so well under cardigans and sweaters. I have all but one color and wear them often. I’ve had the original Origami Mini Skirt in Houndstooth (similar) for a few years now. I also have the other two colors as well (Jacquard, Peony). This ran small and I ended up sizing to a 10.

Along with my Corso Como Samual Boots, I added all Madewell jewelry to complete the look.

I’m trying to stay chic and cozy through the season, while also wearing something new or that I haven’t worn in a while.

I have a house-warming party this evening and another Christmas party on Saturday so there will be more Que Bella outfits to come next week.

Have a Great Day!

Rounding out my Anthropologie visit are two pieces I loved when I tried them on.

~ Harvest Moon Poncho by Angel of the North, Maize, Medium ~
This sweater comes in Maize, Ivory, Moss and Raspberry. My store had this color and the Ivory, which I did not see but think I would like. The medium fit well but almost seemed a little big. When I tried the small, I liked the look of it much more. This has a cowlneck and buttons on the side to assist with the bat-wing sleeves. It’s a little difficult to add a vest over it but I managed.

I’ve worn this twice already and it goes very well layered over J Crew’s Silk Sleeveless Blouse. I wear them all the time and they are almost like a second-skin now. I started adding a thin cami underneath since they tend to get a little static and clingy. I prefer the Seamless Cami from The Limited.

~ Sparkled Tulle Skirt by Moulinette Souers, Small ~
I never noticed this skirt in store until an SA brought it to me to go with the Harvest Moon Poncho. Because this is a pull-on skirt with an elastic waistband I was able to fit comfortably in the Small. There are sequined critters all over the skirt (Squirrel, Owl and a bird). The length hits just below the knee on me. I couldn’t resist this skirt so it came home with me.

Here’s how I wore the Harvest Moon Poncho last Saturday. Husband and I went on a Brewery Tour in Austin. It was a lot of fun but a really long, tipsy day. The weather was chilly and misty all day. I added a long-sleeve tee as the first layer because the sweater is loosely knitted and not perfect for warmth by itself. The sweater matches almost exactly to one of the colors in the blouse.

Happy Valentine’s Day! Husband and I don’t celebrate the day because our very first date was a week later. But, on Monday, the sneaky guy was going out of town for work, which also happened to be on the way by my office where I was for the day. He waited patiently in the lobby while I finished up a conference call and had a dozen roses in his hand and also a little gift. How sweet is that? Completely unexpected and absolutely adorable.

The “Floating/Blurry Rose” print is one of my favorites from J Crew. I was happy to pull this out of my closet for my office visit. I had created a Polyvore with this skirt and black boots but decided to go with brown instead. I paired it with the Cashmere Tee in Snow, my Corso Como boots and let the skirt have it’s day.

I contemplated pairing this with gray tights and booties but maybe next time with the dress

I’m off to a Board meeting. Over the summer, I was “talked into” joining the board of our HOA. A margarita might have been involved. But it’s interesting but, my goodness, sometimes there are just complainers, both at the meetings and on the board. I say “Be happy you have a nice home in a great neighborhood.” We don’t ask a lot of the homeowners but you’d think we were going to peoples homes and inspecting everything. I usually just sit and listen mostly.

Tonight is our annual board meeting, where all the homeowners should attend. And I’m finally wearing my Viridian Green No. 2 Pencil Skirt. How long have I had this? Oh, since it came out…in August!

Oh, and does this count a color-blocking? I was unsure since the top is white. Just curious.
Have a Great evening!

Here are a few OOTDs from last week. This first outfit I loved! I’ve had this belt for years and love it. It can be reversed so the multi-buckles are at the back. The skirt was so comfortable to wear and the weather was nice enough to be cozy but not too warm. Unfortunately, this skirt had a big issue. After I took it off, I noticed the seam where the waistband meets the skirt had come unraveled. There was at least a 5 inch hole in the skirt! The seam was stitched with the same merino wool it’s made out of and apparently any slight tugging or pulling on it made it come undone. I had to return it. If any of you have this skirt just be aware of the stitching. I don’t need anything falling apart for $128. And it’s too bad because I was eyeing the black skirt as well.

One of my favorite shirts from J Crew. I have it in the Almond color as well. It runs big so I was able to size to a small in this. The purple is gorgeous IRL. And of course, my Cece Ballet Flats don’t know what they’ve gotten themselves into. They will be my work-horse flats for most of the Fall and Winter. I’m glad I have multiples!

I wore this to a wedding shower on Saturday. The Bride-to-Be was gorgeous in a Shoshanna dress. My fashionable NYC prima wore the Nanette Lepore Cafe Sheath Dress (see on Chloe here) (LOVE!!!) for her engagement pictures. The Blouson Dress is a favorite dress style of mine. I have the lace in both colors as well as the stripe in black. The Royal Paisley does not disappoint. I was excited to see I have so many cardigan and sweater options for it, including this Jackie in Buttercup…perfect match!

No OOTDs so far for this week. Husband has been home ruining my daily groove but I’ll give him a pass. He’s been sick for 7!!! weeks and now has shingles. Poor hubby. Luckily I’ve had chicken pox and The Boy has been vaccinated for them. But there is no kissing going on ’round here right now. I’m too busy to be sick. Can you believe Thanksgiving is next week? I’m busy every weekend starting now but I love this time of year.

Have a Great evening! I’ll be back with more reviews this week from that crazy 25% off sale. I am certainly shopped out. Luckily I’m not into all the Black Friday shopping. I go, but only to be my mom’s chauffeur. I can do a curb-side drop-off and then find a parking spot in BFE and not have anyone complain about how far they have to walk. I also run packages back to the car so our hands are not full of bags. And now that I’m old enough and have my “own” money, I can go eat anytime I want. My brother and I would starve for hours begging to go eat while she was in a zone shopping. Of course, I’m exaggerating…only slightly. Those marathon shopping trips my mom took us on is probably why I like to shop alone. Fun times.
