When I visited Anthropologie a few weeks ago, I knew I wanted to try on some of the pretty dresses in the store. But I also grabbed a pair of jeans and this first lovely lace top to take in the dressing room with me. When I arrived in the dressing room, there were some additional “suggestion” items that had been added.

~ Tiny Rosewood Lace Blouse, Medium ~

I really liked the high lace collar of this blouse. I can see this being worn with denim, a moto jacket and a lovely skirt. There are so many options for this blouse. The Medium fit me fine everywhere except the neck. It was tight. I don’t have a large neck but I guess the neck on this is running small. It only buttons in the back of the neck. This lace blouse will definitely require a cami as it is very sheer.

~ HD in Paris Elsie Tank, size 6 ~

This was one of the items I found in my dressing room. This has a swingy bottom but ran a little snug around the armholes and chest in the size 6. The size 8 would make it fitting TTS in those areas but probably a bit wider on the bottom half. Overall, I really didn’t like this tank. The fit, material and colors were all off for me.

~ Level 99 Chambray High-Rise Wide-Legs, size 29 ~

These chambray jeans/pants are super soft and comfortable but they fit odd. The waist was too big and loose but fit great through the hips. The length is perfect for me to wear with flats or heels.

~ Vanessa Virginia Collaged Lace Top, size 8 ~

This was one blouse that looked prettier on the hanger than it did on me. I liked the floral appliques and the lace detail but the blouse just hangs on me. I like peasant blouses a lot but this one just doesn’t appeal to me.

~ Pilcro Mid-Rise Wide-Leg Crop Jeans, size 29 ~

I really liked these jeans. They fit really well in the size 29. They flow nicely from the hips down to the hem. The only thing about these is that though the undone hem is the perfect flat shoe length on me, I would love for them to be where the original hem was before they undid. I would have really liked that cropped jean. They don’t look too bad with a heel though I would like another half inch of length for a heel. I’ll look for these again when they go on sale.

Though these didn’t quite work out for me, some the dresses I will review tomorrow are lovely.

Anthropologie currently has a lot of Summer goodies on sale right now and they are offering an additional 25% off, no code needed. If you live in an area like I do, Fall won’t be here until November. There’s still time to wear these until that first cool breeze hits. Below are just a few things I found while perusing the sale items.

I tried the Eva Franco Ruffled Clipdot Dress on a few weeks ago, before it went on sale. It’s really cute IRL with a halter neckline, clipdot texture and swishy skirt. I felt it ran TTS and I have on a size 8. I can still wear this dress now and into the Fall with a blazer. Though my store had this in stock I knew I wouldn’t be able to go in this past weekend to buy it. I was able to order this on Friday with the 25% off and free shipping.

Are you shopping the sale section of Anthropologie? I’ll have reviews of non-sale items this week, in case you are pondering what to add to your wishlist.

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. I’m already looking forward to a three-day weekend next week.

I wanted to briefly share a few things with you about the blog. If you haven’t noticed, I’ve changed up the look of the blog. It was something I’d been planning on and then activated it accidentally when I wasn’t ready. Oh well. Just when I think I’ve mastered blogging and coding I get thrown for a loop. You may see some small tweaks here and there throughout the week as I finish things up. Everything seemed dated to me and I wanted a little cleaner look.

The menus are at the very top of the page with drop-downs to my shopping, reviews, picks, etc. I also realized I hadn’t been sharing my Que Bellas though I’ve been wearing cute outfits. You can find, and shop, those on the sidebar, under ‘Que Bella – Shop it!‘.

Just below the header you’ll see links to posts under specific categories, in case you missed any posts. The sidebar is where I share all my latest picks from my favorite brands as well as my Instagram feed and a few Pinterest Boards. I’ve added a pick list for TheRealReal since that is one of my new favorite places to shop and they update items daily. If you’re looking for Comments, they’ve moved to the bottom right of each post.

Go check out my tumblr where I am sharing all those outfits I create via my StyleBook app and don’t ever get around to wearing. I’m trying to style new items at least three different ways with existing items in my closet. I hope you get some good ideas from those outfits.

I’ll be back tomorrow with some Anthropologie goodies! Thanks so much for taking the time to read my little blog.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

To finish out the week, I have two dresses. I haven’t seen anyone in the Fatigue Dress so I thought I’d give that a try and I’ve been eyeing the Striped Ponte Dress for a while so I needed to try that on to gauge sizing. Take a look below.

~ Tiered Fatigue Shirtdress, Dark Driftwood, size 6 ~

I gave the size 6 a shot because I can usually wear a 6 in sleeveless tops. Unfortunately I need an 8 instead. The buttons are pulling and it’s tight across the chest and back. The tiered skirt portion is a bit bunchy in the first tier. Maybe sizing up would fix that and allow the tiers to lay a little flatter. I didn’t mind the length and it would probably be another 1/2 inch longer in the 8. This color is pretty drab on me. I would need something brighter. Overall, though I’m a fan of shirtdresses, I really didn’t like the look of this.

~ Colorblock Stripe Ponte Dress, Small ~

This dress runs pretty big. I still have plenty of room through the arms and chest in the size Small. It’s highly possible I could fit into the XS, but I do like the roominess of this dress in the Small. The length is just above the knee on me. I can see using this a lot in late Fall and into Winter. It’s just the perfect throw-on-and-go dress.

J.Crew’s current promo is #WEEKOFSTYLE. You can take 25% off select items and 30% off sale. A few items from my wishlist now on sale are below. I’ve been waiting for the Gazebo Pant in Austrian Lace to go on sale forever. I am a little sad that the Sammie Pant in Polka Dot went on sale so quickly but I’ve worn mine three times already so I’m getting my use out of them.

A few other full-price items included in the promo are the Tie-Neck Secretary Top in Retro Chainlink. I have that and have worn it a few times too.

What do you think of the Tiered Fatigue Shirtdress? Are you shopping the #WEEKOFSTYLE promo?

~ Harlow Cardigan, Vibrant Kelly, Medium ~

This is the new cardigan from J.Crew. It’s merino wool with grosgrain ribbon tipping and gold buttons, like the wool Jackie. It’s a little fitted but you can stay in your true size. The arms are fairly long on me so I’d have to cuff them or scrunch them up. The Harlow Cardigan comes in an array of colors from basic black to Neon Wildflower. It’s a cute sweater but I’d probably get tired of the grosgrain trim.

~ Rainbow Stripe Sweater in Merino Wool, Medium ~

I’m on the fence with this striped sweater. I think I like it. The colors are good. The stripes match up from the body to the sleeves. It’s a lightweight Merino Wool. The Medium fits well, so it’s TTS. I can’t quite put my finger on it but I guess maybe there are too many colors, which makes it seem a little juvenile. It does work with the Sammie Pant in Corduroy in all colors.

~ Ruffled Popover Shirt in Polka Dot, size 8 ~

I Love!! I Want!! This ones was really cute IRL. The dots are white and the ruffle is at the neckline and down the button placket. It’s a thin cotton so it’s nice and airy. I think I would stick with the size 8. I’m fluctuating between and 8 and 10 right now so I’ve got to try shirts on, if at all possible. There’s also an Indigo Gauze Popover.

~ Structured Peplum Top in Stripe, Small ~

I really like both the stripes and peplum hem on this top. Since it’s structured and looks better fitted, I sized down to a Small. I feel the stripes make this top look a lot more flattering, especially the peplum portion. It’s also currently 25% off with code WEEKOFSTYLE.

~ Ruffled-Sleeve Top in Black Cherry Print, size 6, #F5331 ~

I loved this top at first sight. It’s not online but I hope it makes it there next week. The background is ivory with black cherries all over. My favorite Kool-Aid flavor is black cherry. Yum! This top is just like the Ratti Top, which I thought fit odd because of the pleating at the back of the neck. I think the difference might be the material. This top is 100% silk and flows nicely. I paid full price for it and have already worn it. The style number is #F5331 if you can’t wait to see if this shows up online. I’d say to take the smaller of your two sizes, since the size 6 fits great. I was at my store yesterday and either they put them away or they’ve already sold out of them.

What do you think of these tops? What about the black cherry print top?
