Husband and I went to see Bob at Sam’s last night. It was so much fun. We’ve seen him before with a band but he was solo this time around. So along with a yummy burger and tots we saw a great live show.

Sam’s Burger Joint is a cool little venue to hear some of your favorite singers. They have a music hall separate from the dining area but you can always order food during the show too. We saw Kelly Willis and Bruce Robison over the Summer. That was a great show too. They had their kids with them selling tees and CDs and such. Bruce is soooo tall and Kelly is just adorable. Not to mention, great artists.

Two pieces in my outfit are the last of my Madewell reviews from my visit Tuesday. The Madewell Leather Pocket T-Shirt Dress was perfect for a small concert.

I wore the dress with my Vintage Denim Jacket from J Crew and Old Navy Booties. I felt stylish and comfortable. I’m glad I brought the jacket because the venue was a little chilly.

The dress is so lovely. It’s a poly/spandex blend and feels a little like crepe. The SA recommended I size down to a Small and he was right. The arms are just a bit snug but the fit is perfect everywhere else. The dress has a shirttail hem so the back is just a little longer than the front.

The Halfmoon Layering Necklace was longer than I thought it would be. I think I was expecting a shorter more delicate necklace. I’m glad it’s not. There are three jump rings to adjust the length. I have it on the very last one, to make it as long as possible. Necklaces like this one make it so easy to wear one every day. No deciding which necklace to layer with pearls or to select a short necklace to go with a longer one. Simple and easy. I like it!

Have a Great Saturday!

One of the ways I use my Stylebook App is by putting together a few outfits with a new item I’ve bought. It helps me decide if that item will be used more than once or if I need to return it. I did just that over the weekend with the Pleated Lattice Skirt in Distressed Quartz. I was able to style 5 different outfits to wear from Summer to Winter.

~ Summer ~
~ Chambray Short-Sleeve Top (Factory), Lillian Mirror Metallic Sandals in Silver ~

The first thing I wanted to do was make sure I had shoes to go with this skirt. I love the new Suede D’Orsay Flats in Grey but don’t want to really have to buy new shoes to go with the new skirt. I also didn’t want to pair anything too bright or harsh as the Distressed Quartz color is so very feminine. Either Silver or Gold would look nice with this skirt, and this outfit in general. The Chambray Shirt is great to wear button-up or even layered over a tank or tee. You could also use a long-sleeve Chambray Shirt and roll the sleeves.

~ Pre-Fall (September) ~
~ Vintage Denim Jacket in Recycled Indigo Wash (Factory), Silk Sleeveless Blouse in Heart DotFrye Anna Leather Oxford ~
I really liked this look when I styled it in the dressing room. I subbed out the solid black for the Heart Dot blouse. Roll the sleeves on the denim jacket and add some cool leather oxfords and you have a nice little football game outfit.

~ Early Fall (October) ~
The small pop of navy brings the all neutral outfit a little extra color. This would also look great with the Navy colorway. Any nude heel will do. These and the Kate Spade Kiki Wedges are my nudes right now.

~ Fall (November) ~

This was the other dressing room outfit I really loved. I have the Clare Cardigan in Cabernet. I could have paired this with the Factory Sylvia Wedges in Cabernet but I like the pop of Leopard with all of this.

~ Winter (December) ~
~ Cashmere Tee (Tippi), Printed Silk Two-Pocket Blouse, Printed Every T-Strap Heels ~

Add some matching tights and you are ready for work. My Winters are not very cold so I could get away with this minimal layering.

There you have it. The Pleated Lattice Skirt styled from Summer to Winter. The Navy would go with each outfit as well. The Hidden Floral print would work with well with 1, 3, and 4.

What else would you pair with this color of skirt?

My VPS was lovely enough to pull together some outfits with the new arrivals and she did not disappoint. After looking at everything online it was nice to see a lot more basics than over-the-top beading, ruffles, embellishment. But I was a little bothered by the longer lengths on the shirts. Then my VPS said it reminded her of Clueless fashion! And now I totally see it, and quite love it too.

Merino V-Neck Cardigan, Medium, Vintage Cabernet ~

The fit is TTS with 10 colors to choose from. I have a Jackie in this color so there is no need for an additional cardi in the same color.

Suede D’Orsay Flats, Size 7, Highland Gray ~

These run a half size big. I tried on the 6 1/2 in the black and they were a much better fit. I would definitely get the gray if a promo comes along.

Silk Sleeveless Blouse, Size 8, Vintage Cabernet ~

This size was too big. Below, the black colorway is in a size 6 and the fit is much better. I love the color and that this is 100% silk and not Poly, which could have easily been done. I bought this color in the size 6. I think I will be able to use it a lot with various bottoms I already have. I think the Navy and Ivory would be two other great colors to get. Those colors can be mixed with so much.

I threw this denim jacket on over the Silk Sleeveless Blouse and loved the look. The jacket is currently on promo for $110 plus an additional 40% off. I ordered it this morning.

Pleated Lattice Skirt, Size 8, Distressed Quartz ~

I unexpectedly loved this pink tone. The skirt surprised me too. The size 8 was the best fit and my more consistent bottom size. The size 6 pulled the latticed part just a little along the hip line. The length, at 18 inches, is perfect for me, but unfortunately not offered in Tall sizes.
