I apologize. I had full intentions on posting right after the Fashion Show but sometimes you get in a rut. To pick up from the Anthropologie Fashion I have some try-ons.

The store was pretty busy, of course, after the Fashion Show so I quickly walked the store to find some things to try on.

~ Embroidered Shorts, size 8 ~
I think these are by Elevenses but I didn’t grab a pic of the inside tag. These are high-waisted and look to have about a 4 to 5-inch inseam. I liked the fit of these on until I started moving around. The waist kept shifting and the hem/inseam of the shorts kept riding up. I don’t want to have to fidget with my shorts all day. Though I loved the embroidery and colors of the shorts they are a pass. (As soon as I found out what these are I’ll update with a link.)

Pretty pops of neon pink throughout.
I loved these linen pants. I think it was not only the color but the embroidery along the side. Though they are crops the size 29 hit me right at the floor. These are a relaxed fit and though I might be able to fit into a 28, I like the relaxed look of the 29s. If I were to get these, I’d have to probably get them hemmed to be cropped. There is a button holding up the hem so that would have to go, along with the strap. Usually you see this on shirts.

I saw Ivory and Wine in-store and there is also Green showing up online. They Grey is my favorite color of the four.
Lynden Chambray Tank, White, Medium ~

Online there is only the light denim color but I did find White in-store. I wanted something neutral to try on with the bottoms I grabbed and chose this tank. It’s not really a favorite of mine. The fit is ok but it just kind of hung there. It definitely needs a cardigan or pretty jewelry to liven it up. The Medium is a good fit but I think I could size to a Small to deal with the gaping at the arms.

~ Maeve Fluttered Maya Blouse, Neutral Motif, size 8 ~
I love the look of the flowy-ness of this blouse. It comes in both solids and several print options. The size 8 fit well but I think I could size down to a Petite or a size 6. I do like how the flutter-sleeve covers my upper arms but overall, I think I can do better. I have added it to my wishlist hoping to catch it on sale.

And what I wore to the Fashion Show. The Nimbin Peasant Blouse was in the 2013 Fashion Show and it was the one item I bought that day. I’ve worn it several times but have never posted a Que Bella. The shorts are the J Crew Pleated Structured Short from a few years ago. {Factory} The shoes are from Anthropologie last year, the Terah Heels. They are perfect for transitioning into Spring with an open-toe but not fully a sandal.

Have a Great Day! I have a lot of goodies to review over the next few days! Hope you come back by!

I wanted to wait for the Mixed Plaid Tunic to go on sale before purchasing it but once I saw it in the store I knew I had to bring it home with me. Anthropologie sent out an email about the tunic and various ways to style it which made me want it even more. Once I got home I decided to try my hand at styling this tunic at least three different ways.

First, I knew I wanted to see how the tunic looked with my Frye Boots. I like the look of this styling better without the belt, which is an old J Crew belt.

Next, I decided to try it with skinny jeans, using my Pilcro Ankle Stet. This time the belt works, probably because it is closer in color to my Terah Heels. I tied the dress in the front, like one of the styling images. I also tried this with leggings and a cardigan. It looked good but my navy cardigan didn’t match the blue leggings I had on so no pics for that.
Lastly, I had to throw on some shoes to chase my pups who had snuck out of the yard and Husband made a comment that he liked the Converse Shoreline with the dress.
The Mixed Plaid Tunic is such a versatile dress/tunic. I have on a size Small and it was a good fit. There is a navy slip underneath that I may swap out since it just fits my hips. Also, there’s a small button in the back to help with shaping. This is going to see a lot of wear this Spring and Summer. It can probably be a cute little cover-up around the pool too.
Can you think of any other styling ideas for this tunic?

I was in my office for a couple of days this past week and didn’t feel like getting too dressed up. I knew I wanted to be casual but put together without wearing a dress or skirt so I decided on jeans for both days.

I love the Draped Plaid Top though, as I mentioned in the review, there is a little snap button on the inside in the back holding the drape together. Well, if you stretch or move your arms too far away from your body that snap will un-snap. It happened several times throughout the day. Though, the drape does not open enough to expose skin or bra I felt a little uncomfortable knowing my shirt was unbuttoned, at least until the 4th or 5th time it un-snapped. Then I was over it and left it alone. I still love the blouse but should have road-tested it at home before wearing it to work.

The belt is from J Crew and is Navy! You don’t know you need a navy colored belt until you see it. Originally I thought it was black, until I looked at the tag. I knew I’d wear it a lot so I bought it at FP. And these Pilcro Stet Slim Ankle jeans are amazing. The wash for Fall is Stardust and I will definitely be getting a pair.

I wasn’t able to get a full shot of my next outfit by this is the Stylebook Look. The Linen Perfect Shirt is from last year, in Brilliant Blue. I thought the Cleo Loafers were perfect to finish this casual look.

The last item I ordered on Anthro Day was the Terah Heels. I have been on the look-out for a nice brown leather heel that wasn’t a sandal. These looked interesting enough online to order. They also come in Gold.

~ Terah Heels, Size 7, by Klub Nico ~

The shoe and insole are leather while the heel is synthetic. At first glance I was afraid my foot was not going to fit inside the shoe. It looked really narrow. Then I thought if my foot did go in it would be really tight.  But my foot did slide right and and the shoe was immediately comfortable. The elastic on the sides didn’t even stretch that much either.

I am a size 7 and rarely size down. Though the description says these are true-to-size they come in whole sizes only. Unfortunately I don’t know what to say or guess on what half sizes need to do.

Overall, I am really happy I was able to order these. They are comfortable and will be a lovely addition to my shoe wall.
