I have a pair of Kate Spade “Riley” Rain Boots I love. If you are in a wet climate you know it is a wise decision to have a pair lying around. I use them in spurts. You never know what the weather will bring here in Texas. Rain one day and 100 degrees and sunny the next. I was able to get quite a bit of use out of these over the summer, just running to the mailbox and even a quick run to the grocery store.

Here are mine.

They come in all different price points. Here are just a few other options.
Of course, “The Original” from Hunter. These come in a variety of colors. $125

Coach “Pixy” – $108

Kate Spade “Randi – $125 – How cute is the bow?

Chinese Laundry “Bog” – $60 – I’m partial to the Hunter Green but they also come in Black and Purple.

See by Chloe – $215

Chooka “Herringbone” – $70 – It has a cute herringbone shaft.

Even though we don’t get a lot of “cold/below freezing” weather in SATX during the day I am looking at a pair of these to put inside my Rain Boots.

Have a great, “dry” day!

I found the J Crew Caribe Espadrille on ebay in navy last month and love them. In Target a few weeks ago I found the Merona Essie Espadrille and noticed they were familiar-looking. I was wearing the Caribe’s and did a quick comparison in the store and they are almost exact.

J Crew Caribe is a size 7.
Merona Essie is a size 6.
The Essie in a 7 for me was way too big while the 7 in the Caribe is a perfect fit.
The way the ribbon lays is the same pattern.
The Caribe has a suede insole while the Essie is soft and suede-like.
The heel height is the same.
The sole is slightly different. The Caribe is all rubber while the Essie is a rubber and canvas.
I don’t know all the colors the Caribe came in but my guess is at least navy and black and possibly red.
The Essie comes in Black, Red, and Gold, in-store and online.
At $19.99 the Essie is a great deal and wears the same as the Caribe, which is no longer available (other than ebay and the JCA Exchange).

I have PLENTY of casual, non-work out sneakers and tennis shoes (thank to my little brother). So I wanted to show a different style of them that I have.

The Mary-Jane Sneaker…Mine are from the Nike Doernbecher Freestyle 2008 Collection. I like the Ombre’ effect on it and they are great to slip on and run quick errands.

Here are some other picks.

First, don’t forget to sign up for my Giveaway in this post.

It’s SHOES-DAY and today we have Gladiator Flat Sandals. I own a pair of Miu Miu in Gold, a pair of Enzo Angiolini in Yellow and a pair of Nike Free Gladiator in Silver.

Husband HATES these!

I think the Miu Miu’s can be worn with more outfits because they are gold as opposed to the yellow Enzo’s. And the Nike’s, well, I’ve only worn them once. But they are so cool (to me).
Let’s get to it.

I’m going to “try” to do a weekly post on Tuesdays of shoes I own as well as current alternatives at different price points. Let me know your thoughts.

First up is a shoe I get compliments on EVERY time I wear them. I love these and stalked them until they came back in my size on the Neiman Marcus website. They are by Christian Louboutin (my favorite FAVORITE shoe designer). He comes out with some of the most beautiful shoes and, sometimes, sky-high heels (5+ inches).

Christian Louboutin Zipper Ballerina Flat in Cranberry

This shoe has so much going on but it makes it that much more interesting. Theres the lace, the zipper detail, the spikes at the toe and the cranberry color.
This shoe is now sold out but there is a similar style in black.
There is also a heel. I saw this first but the heel is way too high for me.
I found some styles the had one of the elements of my shoe but not with all (lace, studs, zipper detail, color).
Let’s get started.
