I have a quick, and late Shoes-day today for you featuring the Collection Collette Calf-Hair D’Orsay Kitten Heels.

I tried on my normal size 7, and though you see a gap at the heel, that was the right size for me. The width is perfect and they didn’t slip off my feet when I walked. 

The online description states these are 3 1/8-inch heels but they certainly didn’t feel 3 inches tall. Also, when someone says Kitten Heel, I think 1 1/2 to 2 inches in height, max.

You see that the toe-cleavage is minimal and that area is cut and an angle instead of straight across. I really like the different shades of brown used this time mixed in with ivory and not tan. The pattern placement doesn’t bother me on these. 
The Collette Calf Hair D’Orsays are really nice. I’ve not experience any other brand of shoes with calf-hair so I only know of J Crew and they seem to do it well. These heels seemed to go with a lot of the items I tried on. You’ll see those this week.

I went to Nordstrom to see the Anniversary sale in person one last time yesterday and saw new Tory Burch bags right as I walked in the door. I fell in love with the Green Posies Jitney print immediately!

It didn’t take me long to decide on which one I wanted. I have two of the larger Kerrington Totes so I wanted to give the Mini Square Tote a try this time.

I love that it has a zip pocket in the middle. Perfect for putting my wallet in, since the top of the bag is open.

I have the Marion Wallet Cross-Body in Ivory and use it every single day. It’s great for travel as I tuck it into my Kerrington Tote and then pull it out to use during the day. I take off the straps to use as a clutch at night. Currently there is only a Yellow color right now. The Kerrington Wallet Cross-Body is the same as the Marion I have, though it is PVC as opposed to Leather. It has a few slots for cards and a small open area for keys, purse and minimal make-up like lipstick and powder.

These sold out fast when I bought it. I couldn’t decide between a bright pink and this Ivory. I’m happy I chose the Ivory and it is very easy to clean.

The Soft Lamé Shirtdress immediately went on my wishlist the moment I saw it online. I knew it was the one item I really wanted to see IRL. And it did not disappoint. The style is similar to the Short-Sleeve Cotton Shirtdress that I have in both Navy and White, especially the sleeves. I do have a little bit of a difficult time getting it over my head so I’m glad the zipper in back was added to this shirtdress.

  

I also love the look of this dress with flats. You don’t always want to wear heels so it’s nice to know that flats will work really well this dress too! The material does have a nice “soft” feel to it though it seems a little silly to name it that. The shirttail hem is slightly longer in the back than the front.

 
A good sign that I love an item is when I wear it right away. Husband and I went to a local show last night and I wore this dress. I paired it with my Lillian Calf-Hair Sandals (splurge, save) and the Tortoise Flower Necklace. I loved the whole look! The clutch is old J Crew, circa Summer 2008.
 
I’m off to get a haircut today! I can’t believe it’s already August 1st already. We are headed into 100 degree temps this week. That’s my cue to get out of the sun and enjoy the pool in the evenings and night.

I must have had this outfit in my sub-conscience when I put these pieces together. These three pieces are still so easy to put together. Even with the longer length of the Striped Infinity Shirt. I wore of version of this outfit all the time through the Fall, using a cardigan similar to the University Sweater instead of a pull-over sweater.

Current Sweater/Top Size: Medium
Current Skirt Size: 8

~ Mixed-Media Merino Sweater, Navy, Medium ~
The Factory version of this sweater is Merino wool like it’s retail counterpart. The back stripes are more faded on this sweater though. The Medium was the best fit as I would probably layer this more than wear it alone. The Navy is a nice color and also comes in Stone and Heather Graphite. 
~ Striped Infinity Shirt, Endless Red Stripe, Medium ~
This looks pretty much like it retail sister as well. In fact, all three items are great duplicates of the retail versions. Makes me wonder if these will transition as Mercantile items? Anyway, the size Medium is a nice fit and not pulling anywhere. The sleeves are long and I have them cuffed. My store didn’t have it but I like and prefer the Sleeveless  version more, though it only comes in Navy in the stripe. 
 
~ Pleated Skirt, Navy, size 8 ~
This is a total recreation of the retail version. I can’t tell the difference. I love my Distressed Quartz as well as the Black. I regret not getting the Navy version but will get this one along with the Warm Mineral Color. The size 8 is the right size in the Factory version. It’s what I took in the retail version. Here are several outfit ideas.
 
The length is my preferred length at just above the knee.

I did not realize until after I was in the fitting room that I grabbed the wrong top to try on with the Quilted Wool Puffer Vest. But I do like the overall look, even if I’m wearing a Sleeveless Blouse. Let’s see how it all fits.

~ Sleeveless Blouse, Ivory, size 6 ~

I have the retail version of this blouse, in silk, in almost every color. I sold the Ivory and Rose colors since those were a little sheer. This Ivory blouse looks White IRL and I am very pleased that it does not seem as sheer as the retail Ivory color. The size also is the same as the retail, as I have them all in a size 6. I would probably get this color and the Deep Orchid. 

 
I am always a size 8 in mini skirts, especially if they are a square with no shape. This one is no exception. The colors look to be pink and grey/blue with metallic gold mixed in. This is a mini skirt so it’s short. I don’t have a need for it but it is very nice IRL. 
 

This is different from the Quilted Puffer Vest in that the body of this is a wool or wool-blend or a poly made to look like wool. It’s not shiny or very smooth in texture. It fits like my other Vests in a size Small. I am so happy I ordered this during the Early Access when it was 30% off. The vests are rarely included in any promos. I couldn’t even use by 20% off Birthday coupon on it. The in-store promo was only $10 off.
 

 
What do you think of these three items? I know the store had 40% off shirts and I believe skirts as well. Prices fluctuate during every sale or promo it’s hard to pick the right one to get the best price. Of course, the Factory in-store 50% off is probably the best promo but that is averaging on once a quarter.
