Whenever I walk into Forever 21 I really have to search for something that’s appropriate for me to wear and not seem too trendy/teeny-bopper-ish. It doesn’t help that the store can give anyone ADD just by walking in. But I was very surprised when I decided to shop at our indoor mall and came across the “NEW” Forever 21.

They took over an old Mervyn’s and is now two…uno, dos…two stories and 80,000 square feet. The old store was a single-story and 7,000 sq ft. It’s so organized and you can browse without bumping into anyone. There are different sections – 21Men, Heritage 1981, HTG81 (kids), Twelve by Twelve, Love 21. I love it!

Here are two outfits with Forever 21 pieces. The cardigan is the Wrap Up Cardigan in Navy.

Tee: J Crew Perfect Tee
Cami: Gap
Jeans: Gap

Today I went to our Christmas Ladies Luncheon and wore another F21 piece (which I could never find online). It is the lace cami that is layered over the J Crew FS Posy Cami. I bought the Lace Cami about a month ago.

Cami: J Crew Factory Silk Pleated Posy
Cardigan: Express (old)
Belt: Forever 21
Jeans: Gap
Shoes: J Crew Penelope in Black/Gray

I received lots of compliments on the Lace Cami. It’s not cheap looking or feeling at all. I like the scalloped edging too. I think it would have looked better with a longer cardigan but I wanted to be a little festive and this was the only red sweater I have.

Have a great day!

Here’s today’s outfit. I almost wore boots again but remembered I had these Frye Mary Jane’s. This is the first time I’ve worn the skirt even though I’ve had it for over a month.

Tee: J Crew Lace Tee in Cobblestone
Cardigan: J Crew Jackie in Burnished Olive
Skirt: J Crew Donegal Tweed Atlee
Socks: J Crew
Shoes: Frye

It’s been awhile. I’m still here but I just couldn’t do the remix any longer for a few reasons. I have to say it is an amazing challenge but I should have been a bit more thoughtful in my selections. Also, the weather changed significantly on Thanksgiving Day. And, I am just not much of an accessorizer, which is a major part of this challenge. I have lots of them – scarves, rings, necklaces, but I rarely wear them. Maybe if shoes were not included but used as an accessory I could have stuck with it.

BUT…to you other remixers out there – keep it going. I love seeing your outfits!

Here are days 12, 13 & 14 as promised last week.

And here’s today’s outfit. I thought I’d pick a different setting for my pics today so I grabbed the tri-pod and went out to my front yard.

Sweater, Skirt, Belt, Tights: All J Crew
Boots: Steve Madden

And I had an audience. All does, no bucks.

Have a great day everyone. I am enjoying our cooler temps and happy to finally be able to wear my sweaters, tights and boots!

So here’s Day 2. Very super casual with a tee, jean and barefoot.

Tee: J Crew Imperial Tee
Jeans: GAP Destructed Boyfriend
Belt: Lucky Brand

The I had to run some errands and added the cardi and shoes.

Cardigan: J Crew Factory Primrose Cardigan (Factory cardi is cotton not merino)
Shoes: Steve Madden Trouser

Day 3 – Had an appointment today so I’m dressy casual. (Is that a style of dressing?)

Shirt: J Crew Factory L/S Stretch Perfect Shirt
Jeans: GAP Curvy
(I couldn’t find my Essential Jeans **dirty** so I swapped these in. I’ll keep these in the rotation and leave out the Essential. I just wanted a basic dark jean to wear with heels. This pair isn’t too good for flats like my Essential but they’ll do.)
Heels: Ann Taylor Perfect Pump
Necklace: J Crew

I just wanted to share how great the shirt is with the Gray color of the J Crew Sunnie Pencil Skirt.

Have a great evening!

I really liked last year;s GAP Boyfriend distressed jeans. So much that I bought two pair, in regular wash and light wash. I should have bought more. They are my go-to jeans for super-casual and around the house wear.

Here’s an outfit I wore last week.

Blouse: Joie – gift from my Momo T
Jeans: GAP Boyfriend Distressed
Belt: J Crew
Shoes: Steve Madden Gladiator Wood Heel

“R.I.P” – Literally!
I ran errands in this and it was not pretty at the end of the day. There was a frayed “hole” right above the knee. As I got out of my car I heard the “rip”. It wasn’t big. But then I had to get in the car and back out again and each time the “hole” got bigger and bigger. I made sure my other pair didn’t have fraying in the same place. (It doesn’t.) Now I’ve got to find another pair. GAP has some but they are too long. I hate that their “Ankle” length is still 3-4 inches too long.
Have a great day!
