You saw that last week I reviewed the Silk Crepe Maxidress in both Brilliant Blueberry and Black. I did purchase both of them as I loved the feel of them on, they looked good as a single dress or layered and they were on promo with another % off. I wore both this week, layered. They are touted as Beach Cover-ups which I will use them for this Summer but I also found some great slips that work well for both.

I Monday I wore the Maxidress in Brilliant Blueberry with my old GAP Denim jacket (JC, GAP, ON, Levi’s)    and the J Crew Tybee Metallic Sandals. The Grotto Pendant Necklace would look great with this dress. I felt comfortable and super chic all day.

On Thursday I decided to wear the Black Maxidress. This time I wore the Metallic V-Neck Sweater over the dress. I folded it under a few times and tied a knot in the back and had myself a cropped sweater with very little effort and no exposed skin! I added my lovely Dorado Necklace and the Canvas Espadrilles in Dark Ebony for a cool, casual vibe. I am a consistent size 7/37 but took a 38 in these. I find that flat espadrilles like these I have to size up one Euro size to accommodate the width of my foot. It’s a little tight in the 37.

To make sure I wasn’t exposed as these dresses can be sheer in specific lighting I found some Calvin Klein slips at Nordstrom. I bought both the Bare/Nude and the Black in Medium. The fit was great and the short length was perfect to prevent the dress from being see-through.

I think you all can agree with me that today is a beautiful day. We can all celebrate that it is FINALLY SPRING! Yes, there may be more snow and cold and rain on the way (shakes fist at Groundhog) but that is all snow/cold/rain weather in SPRING and not dreadful Winter.

I chose green, white and silver to welcome Springtime to Central Texas today. I could not wait to wear my Lillian Mirror Metallic Low Wedges. I paired them with the Drapey Crepe Henley Tunic and White Jeans from Express (Tory Burch, J Crew, AG, Old Navy). I even added some jewelry with the Grande Crystal Drops Necklace and Sparrow Cuff.

I’ve had these jeans for almost 8 years! Probably the oldest item in my closet. The back is a little exposing but I usually wear a belt. White Denim is so hard to shop for. You don’t want the material too thin as it will show everything. Since my skin-tone is darker I have to be careful that thinner light denim is not see through. I’ve tried on some J Crew Toothpicks from a year or two ago in Mint and my skin-tone showed right through. Crazy!

Hope you’ve all had a great first day of Spring!

It never hurts to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day for an extra bit of luck. Today I’m wearing the Tippi Sweater in Kelly Green, J Crew Factory Midrise Toothpick Jeans and J Crew Cece Ballet Flats. The blazer is a knit blazer I received for Christmas a few years ago and is Cynthia Rowley (JCF and Old Navy, Charlotte Russe).

Official Springtime is almost here. We are finally starting to see a change in weather so I hope to be ditching the heavy sweaters and grab my button-downs and blazers.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Wow! I haven’t done a Que Bella post since {Henny Penny} so here is a sampling of what I’ve been wearing. There have been a lot of days where I am just wearing lounge clothing due to the cold weather. So so sick of it and will welcome 100 degrees and hot sun any day!

Valentine’s Day was the perfect opportunity to wear my red Tory Burch Alexa Cropped Denim. I paired it with my Marc x Marc Jacobs Flirty Zebra Tee, a gift from by friend Catalina. I added the Jackie Cardigan in White and my black Cece Flats.

I love the Cleo Silk Tunic and have already worn it twice since purchasing it. The print, the feel of the dress, the length are just perfect. And, I can pig out and no one will notice. Wearing with my Lanvin Wedge Espadrilles.

I found the Banana Republic Sloan Windowpane Pants on sale in January but in a size 6. I tried them on, just-in-case, and woo hoo! they fit. I paired it with a Merino Pocket Tunic and the Factory Sylvia/Martina Wedges.

My last day in the office was pretty nice outside and I was able to wear my new Boden Great White Shirt with a Jackie Cardigan in Navy. I paired my Everly T-Straps with my Tory Burch Cropped Skinny Jeans.

This last outfit I absolutely loved! I felt very comfortable in it and it felt very me. Not necessarily the ruffles but the cool shirt with a cardigan, skinny jeans and heels. Now if I can just recreate that look with other items in my closet. Classic, simple, with awesome shoes!

Have a Great Day!

As the weather adjusts to a normal Texas Winter, so does my wardrobe. During the Winter my house is sometimes colder inside than the temps outside. I usually layer up or wear a sweater during the day and Thursday was no different.

I also figured if I was going to bring my CPW down on the Silk Diamond Tile Skirt that I should start wearing it. I originally planned to wear my Tippi Sweater in Navy but the French Hen Sweater caught my eye. The navy sweater and pink beret matched perfectly with the pink and navy of the skirt. I slipped on my Cece Ballet Flats in Navy and was set for the day.

I had considered selling this sweater but now have the perfect skirt to wear with it. I can also pair this sweater with the Lace Skirt still NWT in my closet.

This pairing is a happy surprise and I hope to be a bit more creative with outfits this year.

Have a Great Weekend!
