Good evening all! I have been trying to post this all day but have been so very busy. But I wanted to get this outfit out there since I loved wearing it. It was so comfortable and Christmas-y without over-doing it. The Perfect Shirt in Tartan is one of my all-time favorite J Crew shirts. Alone or layered with a sweater it just looks good. It even goes with Leopard!

I bought this version of the Pilcro Stet Slim Ankle Jeans on sale over the Summer and they are awesome. These and my two Tory Burch pair are in heavy rotation right now. I like the darker wash on both for Winter. I will be getting the Stardust color of these as soon as I can, since they fit so amazingly well.
The Quinn Ankle Booties are still my favorites to wear out of all the new ones I’ve purchased this season. Though I have a pair of black ankle booties, I am so tempted to get the Quinn’s in Black Suede.

My department had a little Christmas lunch and Secret Santa gifting on Tuesday. I though this outfit was perfect with the little touch of Christmas plaid to have a fun lunch break with the co-workers.

I am off to write my list of what I’m missing and who I’m missing that I need to buy for. I have wrapped quite a bit.

I love to wrap presents and have gotten into buying pretty ribbon for the bows. I’m not fancy about it or anything. I just put it around the gift and tie a bow. I like to sit there with a glass of wine and wrap the gifts. I like J Crew’s black boxes because you can be creative with the different colors and textures of ribbon to put on the box. The one in the bottom pic has a red plaid felt ribbon around it. The gold ball wrapped box in front of it has this glitter ribbon. After I was done with just that ribbon, glitter was everywhere so I might have to try and find some less messy ribbon.

Oh, if only life was as simple as avoiding glitter. Haha! Have a Great Evening!

I was in my office for a couple of days this past week and didn’t feel like getting too dressed up. I knew I wanted to be casual but put together without wearing a dress or skirt so I decided on jeans for both days.

I love the Draped Plaid Top though, as I mentioned in the review, there is a little snap button on the inside in the back holding the drape together. Well, if you stretch or move your arms too far away from your body that snap will un-snap. It happened several times throughout the day. Though, the drape does not open enough to expose skin or bra I felt a little uncomfortable knowing my shirt was unbuttoned, at least until the 4th or 5th time it un-snapped. Then I was over it and left it alone. I still love the blouse but should have road-tested it at home before wearing it to work.

The belt is from J Crew and is Navy! You don’t know you need a navy colored belt until you see it. Originally I thought it was black, until I looked at the tag. I knew I’d wear it a lot so I bought it at FP. And these Pilcro Stet Slim Ankle jeans are amazing. The wash for Fall is Stardust and I will definitely be getting a pair.

I wasn’t able to get a full shot of my next outfit by this is the Stylebook Look. The Linen Perfect Shirt is from last year, in Brilliant Blue. I thought the Cleo Loafers were perfect to finish this casual look.

Here’s the second set of reviews with some dresses and denim.

Embroidered Bleuet Midi Top & Pencil Skirt, by Moulinette Soeurs ~

The top in this pic is a size 6 and the skirt is an 8. I loved this when it originally showed up online but was a little worried the top was too cropped. It works well with the skirt though. The top is too snug and cut in at the shoulders and arms.

The skirt in the size 8 was perfect, though could use just a little Spanxing. There’s a little ruffle on the back of the skirt that I hadn’t noticed until I took the side shot. It just makes the skirt even more unique.

This is a size 10 top. There wasn’t a size 8 to try-on but I really liked the fit of the 10. Much better looking than the size 6.

Sweetwater Dress, Size 8, by Yoana Baraschi ~

I really wanted this dress to work but I couldn’t even get the back zipped all the way up. That’s usually the case for me with strapless dresses. The print is beautiful and I would be tempted to buy it on sale and have it made into a skirt. It’s just so lovely and will look wonderful on anyone else but me. Oh well, not everything is going to work. That’s what try-ons are for.

Rhododendron Dress, Size 8, by Moulinette Soeurs ~

I was immediately attracted to this lovely bright pink dress. The size 8 was perfect. Not too snug across the chest and a little wiggle room in the waist. And it has pockets! A beautiful dress for a Summer wedding and would work for the office with a little cardigan.

Because all jeans fit differently, when I find a pair that fits off the rack, without alterations, I usually buy them. These were also on sale, so for me a no-brainer to add to my closet. As much as I hate to admit it, jeans are a big part of my daily uniform in Fall and Winter.

AG Stevie Ankle Jean, Size 29 ~

These were a good fit but would need to be hemmed. The ankle opening was also a little small. I know the Stevie is a popular item but I can never find a pair I feel great in. I think with these, I need a darker wash and a higher rise, like the Ankle High-Rise Jean.

I did place an order last Saturday during Anthro Day so I’ll have a review of those items as soon as they arrive.
What have you been shopping at Anthro lately?
