Here are a few outfits from my Week 6 Capsule Remix. I loved the Photo Floral Tap Shorts and the Zara Blouse. I honestly cannot stop wanting to wear this blouse. It goes with everything!
Capsule Remix Week 6
I’m really excited about next weeks Capsule Remix that I’m starting early. The outfits I’ve created in my Stylebook App look really good. I hope they translate well IRL. This week is another theme – Linen. All the linen in this remix are tops mixed with some new items from the J Crew sale section.
Que Bella – Catching up…
Here are some recent OOTDs.
Loving the Perfect Linen shirts from J Crew. I am taking a 6 in all of them even though my normal size in the perfect shirts is an 8. The Summerweight Bermuda Shorts are my all-time favorite shorts. With the newer styles I take a size 8. The Look Through Wedges had an accident the day I wore these. A piece of wood chipped off! From the front! I think if I dirty that spot up a little it will blend in with the rest of the shoe. This was only the second time to wear them so I am quite disappointed.
Looking at this picture I think the tee might be the crewneck not v-neck. Either way it is the Vintage Cotton Tee which are another yearly staple for me. The Apothecary skirt has been one of my favorites and I love all the colors through-out it. The shoes were just a bad purchase. They fit weird and the back strap falls down a lot, even though it’s buckled on the last hole. There are just some shoes not meant for “Shoes-day”.
Another new staple in my summer wardrobe has been linen tees. I have a few from J Crew, which are quite see through. I recommend a tank top underneath. The ones from Zara are thin as well but can be worn without a tank underneath. I love this purple and it goes well with the purple in the Waterlily Floral Soiree Skirt. This skirt, in both colors, has been another happy purchase. Like the Apothecary skirt, there are so many colors in both skirts that sometimes it is hard to pick a top to wear with it. I think I will have brought the CPW of these Tory Burch flip-flops down to mere pennies by the end of the summer.
I have been trying to wear skirts and dresses this summer. They are just so quick and easy to wear and if you find some like the ones above, with many colors in them, you’ll have endless options to pair with them.
Have a great day!
Target & J Crew Recent Purchases
I know I’m a little late but I was finally able to head to Target to see the new Calypso collection. There was plenty of items and sizes in all departments in the Target I went to, including the cute little elephant teapots in both colors. I really wanted them but have no use for them and don’t have knick-knacks around the house or kitchen.
Also plenty of Miss Trish sandals…
Then I headed over to J Crew. I really wanted to get the Olive Linen Perfect Shirt since it wasn’t online. While there I found the Modern Red color as well. Loving this color right now and only one size 6 left so I bought that too.
I also found the Silk Serenade Dress in Deep Lagoon, marked down to $29.99 from $138, while online it is still $69.99. For that price, the Spicy Guava also tempted me, but alas, it wasn’t in my size. I’ll add another tank underneath for the summer and a cardigan for the fall/winter.
They were gathering up items that hadn’t been selling to send to other stores. One of those was the Seersucker Pencil Skirt. The SA looked in his stack for a 6 and I brought it home with me. The rest were on their way to one of the New York stores.
Lastly, I was intrigued by the Silk Henley Top when I saw it online. It’s currently on sale for $59.50 online and in-stores. I regret not getting the Popsicle Pink in the Retro Shell so I tried this on in a 6 (I think). After seeing the Chic Chauffeur in the Melon Spice I may have to go back and get that color too. I have been looking for more dressy-casual tops to wear in the summer other than my embellished tees. And I like that the sleeves are not quite sleeveless, with a little coverage over my shoulders.
