I wanted to wait for the Mixed Plaid Tunic to go on sale before purchasing it but once I saw it in the store I knew I had to bring it home with me. Anthropologie sent out an email about the tunic and various ways to style it which made me want it even more. Once I got home I decided to try my hand at styling this tunic at least three different ways.

First, I knew I wanted to see how the tunic looked with my Frye Boots. I like the look of this styling better without the belt, which is an old J Crew belt.

Next, I decided to try it with skinny jeans, using my Pilcro Ankle Stet. This time the belt works, probably because it is closer in color to my Terah Heels. I tied the dress in the front, like one of the styling images. I also tried this with leggings and a cardigan. It looked good but my navy cardigan didn’t match the blue leggings I had on so no pics for that.
Lastly, I had to throw on some shoes to chase my pups who had snuck out of the yard and Husband made a comment that he liked the Converse Shoreline with the dress.
The Mixed Plaid Tunic is such a versatile dress/tunic. I have on a size Small and it was a good fit. There is a navy slip underneath that I may swap out since it just fits my hips. Also, there’s a small button in the back to help with shaping. This is going to see a lot of wear this Spring and Summer. It can probably be a cute little cover-up around the pool too.
Can you think of any other styling ideas for this tunic?

There was one absolute Shoes-Day favorite of mine this year…the Frye Shirley Artisan Tall Boot. I have worn these several times since I purchased them.

I was able to stretch them out with frozen water in a bag. Then from wearing them enough they stretched a little more in the calf and I was finally able to slip them over some skinny jeans, the Pilcro Stet Ankle Jeans

The Quinn Suede Ankle Boots from J Crew Factory were a close second. They have been so versatile and easy to throw on and have gone with a lot of my outfits this season.
What has been your favorite shoe purchase this year?

I am really loving my Frye Boots and wanted another dress to wear with them since I only have one pair of skinny jeans I can slip them over. I’m glad this dress was around when the Tag Sale started as it’s been on my wishlist for a little while.

I was originally going to order a Medium but it was sold out so I took a chance on the Small. It is a great fit and not tight across the chest as I originally feared. It’s a good length to wear without leggings or tights and the neckline hits at a nice spot and is not too low. And, of course, I love this tunic with my boots!

~ Glinted Tee, Silver, Large ~
I grabbed this tee on a whim but am on the fence about keeping it. I think it would look great with a layered necklace in a silver tone but though it’s Silver, it seems a little blah to me. First, it runs small, with the Large fitting like a Medium on me. Second, it’s Linen, so hand-wash only, which I’m sure I’ll forget about and machine wash it causing it to shrink. Lastly, though I know v-necks are flattering and elongate the neckline, I really prefer a crew-neck on tees.
Anthropologie still has it’s Tag Sale going on. Have you bought anything from it?

With our usually mild Winters I try to wear sweaters and warmer clothes when the temps drop to the 60s. The Colorstack Sweater Dress {review} is a great option to wear with or without layers. It’s definitely not as itchy as I thought it would be. I have some Spanx on to help keep things smooth.
I love my Shirley Artisan Tall Boot and am wearing them every chance I can get.

I’ll probably add a thin turtleneck under or long cardigan over this dress the next time I wear it.

Have a Great Day!

~ Cora Dress, Tory Burch (Equestrian Print) ~

I love this dress so much! It such a beautiful silk and the red is so vibrant. You can see my original review of it {here}. I knew as soon as I bought the Frye Shirley Artisan Boots that I would be pairing them with the Cora Dress. I love the look. Next time I wear this I will try it with leggings, belt it and throw on a long cardigan over it.

I was so tempted to get this in the Equestrian Print since I love the shape of this dress but decided against it. I don’t want to get tired of the print so the red print will do.

I am off to get ready for our neighborhood Christmas Party. I am thinking of wearing the Origami Skirt in Elephant Parade. I’ll be sure to post the Que Bella next week of whatever I wear.
Have a Great Evening!
